Alaa Mansour I agree. Or if he really wanted to have kids maybe their gap could be a little older you know so that the older kids can help out . They all seem to be off the same range it's really frustrating for the mother man. I really felt bad when the kid fell down gosh women are so strong and powerful. She truly is so brave taking care of the kids. I am not hating him and I feel what he is doing is such a good act but it's frustrating for his wife at the same time. Gosh

kinda wish he hadn't had four children..if he was so busy outside, at least with less child at home, his wife wouldn't look so miserable..

I agreed with you Alaa and there is nothing wrong with him helping the community.
All his efforts will be of so much guilt the day his wife falls sick and end up in the hospital because of exhaustion.
I think he needs to cut back his hours so he can help his family cuz his wife looks so tired and her hands are so dried and sores.
He needs to help her out by buying a washing machine and that will really help her out instead of washing the clothes with her hands.
The washing machine will be of great help to her day to day work.
It is a great idea to help others but in the process of doing great outside his family is suffering especially his wife.
If the wife gets sick and end up in the hospital then what will he do ?
Who will take care of his kids and visit the wife at the hospital?
Will he still be able to help those kids out and neglect his family?
It is a tough call but he needs to start thinking about it and don't wait until something happens?
He needs to recruit some folks to help out in order to reduce his work load.
Thanks for sharing and that is my thoughts.

Man, you can tell how much he cares for the students and his own family (but is more scared for the students because he feels they have no one)... his wife is also a saint for being understanding. I hope there are more people like him to take some of that weight off and that he'll be able to spend more time with his sweet family.

The Korean government and people need to do more outreach and institute programs to help foreigners and their children. Mr. Andrei is providing a service that is extremely valuable and he should be paid for it and be given government grants to recruit workers like himself.

Virginia Glass what goryeo people mean??

    • @jillthompson6110
      @jillthompson6110 7 лет назад +37

He's on government funded basic guaranteed income for low wage workers. He's getting welfare subsidies on top of the low wage he's earning. His employer is a private charity and that's why he's getting a low monthly wage. The government should step in and offer him a higher wage social worker position in the social welfare services, and take him off the welfare. This man shows what dedication to helping the poor means and he would make an excellent social worker. Korea needs workers like him.

    • @haelyjeong

Virginia Glass Why for foreigners? I live in US but the US government does not have any program for foreigners. I believe that could be considered as a discrimination against Koreans. If there were any programs, then it should be open to everyone. Here, the government does not provide free language program in US. I do believe Korean government has been overspending $$ on programs such as language programs, job assistance program blah for non Koreans which is good but at the same talking is not fair for Koreans.

    • @piercehunter7731
      @piercehunter7731 7 лет назад +5

Haley J Korean is a harder language than English especially since it's not everywhere unlike English. There are free programs to learn English in the US as well. The library and many non profits teach how to speak and write English. South Korea has many of the same opportunities as the ones given to foreigners so it's not unfair at all.

I agreed, however I appreciate his job too because that's how he supports his family. The only annoying thing is, the government is taking advantage of his skills and knowledge and paying him low wages when he's actually doing the job of a social worker and youth support. If he is doing that job in US or England, he will get pay five times per month than what he currently earn. I hope the ministry of social services and the government will look at his job and take consideration of his income plus bonus plus accommodation

Hopefully Koreans who watched this episode help with volunteering, I know they have helped previous families that were on the show.

The day will come when those children tt u help adore and love u nut your own flesh and blood hate u. Your children are still very young. See how cranky they are. Tt is a sign of neglection esp love. If u dont do volunteer work no one will curse u but if u neglect ur children and always absence when they young u too will be left alone when u old. Nite to remember FAMILY FIRST.

@pearl perfume that isn't true though, there are people who are grateful for life and remember it and will readily help if you are in need but their are also entitled people like those family members or kids that I have seen that killed their own family members or their parents should bow to their own kids even though they are given everything they want and need. That blood is thicker than water qoute is shit, reality is it all comes down to people's own values, virtue, character, personality and environment like for example a kid would bitch to it's parents that it doesn't like the food but given to a hungry kid on the street will be very grateful

I really wonder what happened to this couple. All the help hes providing, and hes still selfish to his own family. Bless his wife, its like shes 75% single parent. Did she signup to become his afterthough? Its good that he does what he does... he needs balance in his approach, maybe try limiting his service to 3-4 days a week. Hes not super man, its unfair to have his own kids pay the price that he feels he owns. Who pays the price or volunteers to heal their emotional hurt caused by him? Funny that he rushes off to make breakfast for other kids, while the wife struggles every morning to do the same for their children... and yes I noticed that there were other adults at the center who maybe could make breakfast in his place. Try writing a grant to social services agencies to get funds for providing service to the families. Also he could then train a couple of peers to help him.

Yes, it’s true he should balance work and his family and sometimes he does need to spent time with his wife and his own children. But when he and his wife cried together in the kitchen that right there shows that she too understood their struggles and that it’s hard but they’re in this together. Wishing them happiness :)

This guy indeed is a very good and kind guy with a big heart for others due to his past miserable life experience. I take a bow to give him respect and praise. In this regard, he is a saint or an angel. However, when we dedicates ourselves for others, not at the cost of and sacrificing our wife and kids lives. It will be perfect if there is a balance between his charitable works and his family. His wife is superb.

This guy and his family deserve so much better but I'm stating the obvious.

That was an amazing episode for the following reasons,
    1) Andrei should be served as a role model, not only he moved to a foreign country and adapted himself all the way but as well as giving back to his underprivileged youth community.
    2) I hope that this show will be involve by creating maybe an event with some celebrities to raise some found to provide some help to Andrei to hire some social workers and found his center to help this Goryeo youth integrate back to their ancestral origin and live a full and happy life in Korea
    3) Hopefully, this show and its viewers should maybe come together to help Andrei's wife by providing her with some home appliances like dishwasher, washing machine to help her in her daily routine housekeeper tasks, so her hands can get some break, maybe also having a cosmetic brand sponsor her with some creams, that will be nice.

He should've never become a father if all he does is take calls off from work and go to the other children when he is with his OWN children.. he doesn't help his wife either and I feel so bad for her... look at the state of her hands.. he needs to not take calls when he is off work/when he is at home...he is kind and the other children definitely need help, but he is ignoring his own children and wife in order to look out for other people's kids. If he is gonna do that he should not be a father.

If only there were three more Andreis at the center, this one wouldn't run out. I can feel his wife's frustration and with good reason- managing four kids on your own must be so hard. I hope he slows down a bit and spends more time as a father, but I understand that he feels responsible for the children at the center and needs to be a father figure to them, too- or else they'll might end up going down the wrong path when they are without any guidance. It's not an easy situation. I do adore his love for all the children of the world, he's really a great person with a big heart

He may be a nice caring man, but that's no good to a family who is growing up without a Dad/husband, because Dad/husband is too busy trying to help others, at the same time, blind to the needs of his wife and children. I hope he sticks to the agreement of taking Saturday's off and I wish him and his family all the luck in the World.

I salute this man for all the things he's done but I feel bad for his wife. If he was always busy, I don't understand why you'd have 4 kids.

Actually, volunteering can be so time consuming. It requires planning and execution and then post-activity reports. Salute to the wife for being so supportive.
I know one day this Dad will reap some good fruits from all the seeds he is planting among the kids he helps. But I still hope he gets some kind of compensation for his efforts today.

I disagree with the video description, I don't think he's a terrible husband and father at all. He is just a great person who is trying to help others. He appears to love his children and wife very much but simply doesn't have enough time and energy. Rather than him having to focus/prioritize on one or the other, the government should help out people like this. There needs to be more support for people like him.

I understand he does good deeds for the community but I do feel sorry for his wife rasing 4 little kids and taking care of home almost all by herself. Why does he not take care of his family before community? He is absolutely being negligent as a father and a husband.

Wonderful people! It's a shame so many commentators are this judgemental and unwilling to understand self-sacrifice. Many other fathers are absent because they're obsessed with making money or having fun with coworkers after work, however, people seem to tolerate these things more than helping children of others and saving their lives. If there were more people to volunteer, Andrei wouldn't have to do it all by himself. Society couldn't function if everyone was only looking out for themselves and their own family. I'm sure when Andrei's children grow up, they not only understand their father's choices but also take inspiration from him!

What a bad father. He's being a father to other children. but his own. If I were his wife I'd yell at him every time he picks up his phone and hide it, just so he can spend what precious little time he has with his kids. This episode made me so angry

I feel ashamed of myself after seeing this guy, how he gives his all in caring for other people, but of course i feel bad for the wife and kids, actually both of them are heroes, because if not for the wife, this man won't be able to help other people. May this serve as a reminder for me to have more empathy, to not just think of myself but to help others who are in need.

It good to help but he have more time to other kids than his own children, and having more fun with his students than his own kids..so sad. If its rest day or off day u need to give time also to your kids...they are growing up also without u,u will realize it when its already late...his students must think about it also that their teacher need to take rest amd have time with his family..if this is my husband i will go back to my parents house with all my children

If we have more people like him who volunteers, the world will be much kinder. Why? Because volunteering allows you to see others' struggles. That should be a requirement for everyone especially aholes who discriminate against animals, the homeless, refugees and the poor. A lot of folks struggle in this world. A bit more understanding and kindness goes a long way.

He needs to start prioritizing his family more, his kids going to grow up thinking their dad cares more about other people's kids more than his own, and when they act up when they're older, Andrei probably going to accidentally compare them with his pupils which going to make their relationship even worse :(

He needs to get his priorities right, learn to say no and draw a line between work and family life. He's not even getting payed for it, he does it because he enjoys people relying in him, so its a actually selfish.

  • @hagridlemonhead611

He spends more time taking care of other kids then his. She is pretty much a single parent. I hope he won't put aside his family. He continues to sacrifice his family all the time. There will be consequence in the future, he will understand everything he does has a consequence. He should have had so many kids if he was just going to run and take care of others only. A balance is important.
