I started tearing up when the grandad started crying over his son-in-law, it shows that they actually got along, the kid really made me upset somehow, because of how he treats his grandparents but what can I do, he's just a kid
Rim Oo I think you should said single parent life. Because you will find both man and woman single raising their kids by themself and having a very difficulte time doing it and never give up for the good of their children's. So it's not mother only.
Man this episode has been the most emotional one for me. I've never in-laws who loved each other like they do. Seeing that bond that was there was just beautiful and sad but loving at the same time.
I cried, I laughed, I cheered. This episode was so good! It really got me when they visited the fathers grave...Masha is so resourceful and hard working.I really got emotional when the son didn't like walking with his grandpa. It was a good idea to have that class presentation. I wish this family all the best. .
Finally they are addressing foreign or half Korean kids being discriminated or getting bullied at school. I also respect her a lot: she speaks the language and works to support her kids. Moreover she became a widow at the age of 26 but she seems to be a strong woman.
Across the globe, kids get bullied for any differences. It's a part of nearly every society. (Grew up Korean in the US before being Korean was trendy.)
Aw when the father in law talked about the father....it was like he was talking about his son...its soo heartbreaking. The mother in law...was an amazing person...so are her parents...they stay soo strong for her...
I understand how the little boy may be confused or feel some type of way but regardless HE IS YOUR GRANDPA! He is acting immature and a brat. He should be more respectful and thankful. There is no excuse for him to act that way even if he is a kid. When he gets older he's going to regret acting the way he did and he should. The wife has been through so much. Thank god for her parents too. Beautiful woman and soul.
If there's one person I wish more success to is this woman. To try to live everyday after losing her husband then her mother-in-law is not an easy thing, but for the well being of her kids she has to move on. This woman is an example of what women do best trying to hold it all together.
Before watching this program My Neighbor, Charles, I had no knowledge about Uzbekistan. I have seen 3 episodes so far that featured 3 Uzbek wives and they all are amazing, seriously beyond human ability. They are superhero moms. It shows me a lot of respects for Uzbek culture. Obviously there women are raised from a very kind culture. I value kindness.
Such a lovely family , I felt so bad when they said her husband had passed away and she was all alone , and when her son wouldnt walk with his grandpa , but Masha already is a Wonder Woman , taking care of her kids on her own , in a differnt country, speaking Korean shes amazing and a great mom !!!
This is a very emotional episode...I cried, smiled, laughed...but overall feel so proud of mom for her strength..may God continue to bless her and her family
Her parents are so sweet, praying for the best for her and her family xx. Also i understand that her son may be embarrassed that his grandpa is foreign but I still didn't like the way he was acting. I hope as the kids grow older they appreciate both cultures as well as their grandparents, because they're so lovely.
this episode is very emotional and heartbreaking , shows how valuable and strong mothers are despite of the sharp life vicissitudes. salute to her. I cried when the father cried for his son in law😢.
Sorry but the kids are very disrespectful to their grandparents who care and love for them a lot . They should not take their grandparents for granted 😐
I think that has to do a lot with bullying- I notice kids who get bullied often resent their parents. Even more so when the reason for bullying is a foreign parent
I kinda understand how the little boy feels. When you are young, its really hard to accept the fact that you are different. Your family eats different food, speaks different language and nor do you have a father to balance all of that so that you can feel both of your identities. This women has a tough life, but i think the kids will struggle ALOT too, trying and reaching for their identities. And i strongly recommend them to stay in Korea, because i personally feel like if they return to their land, it will most likely damage kids mental health, especially her son.
It's not like the kid doesn't accept the fact of being different, he just get teased or maybe even bullied at school for that and that's why he's trying to look different than he really is. If everyone at school accepted him as he is, I am sure he wouldn't behave like that
Actually he reminds me of myself. I grew up in the US, to a Korean mother and a white American father. I too had issues with identity and tried very hard to distance myself away from the Korean part and wished/thought that I was not part Korean. I was ashamed of my mom even, and didn't want her to show up in school because if the kids found out, they would tease me that I had a "Chinese mother". I wanted to fit in with the majority, and I didn't want myself to be different. And I bet this is exactly what the little boy is also going through. Give him time, and when he matures he will change his mind, just like I did.
right! I am half German half Irish but grew up in east asia... so I had a little cultural conflict going on... I don't regret never leaving because that made me stronger and accepting the fact that my face and eating habits are different... leaving would have been too confusing
Definitely I think he not trying to be or act rude but he simply having a slight identity crisis and has the mindset that he thinks he is Korean and want to fit in with his/her peers so because of the frustration of him being different he is taking it out on others around him such as his grandparents because they are different and therefore foreigners so he is kind of confused 😅
oh my god, this story is just so touching and inspirational! I cried so much while watching this. I hope people in the neighborhood are supportive, and she never gives up.
Why the kids so naughty nd rude😢it's really sad to see the grandma&grandpa😥wish them stay healthy.the grandson&granddaughter love nd respect grandparend more.long life nd more patient to helping them daughters 😊
When she asked her parents to say a prayer (du'a) for her... I could totally relate. I'm already over the hill but I still ask my parents to pray for me. 😁
If those were my kids I would raise them really proud and with both backgrounds from the beginning . They are different n they need to accept it, they grandparents were amazing n even if they are just kids if breaks my heart how they treat them
Masha is a great parent as well as a great singer, and the grandparents are so lovely so supportive and so understanding but what masha is doing cheating in a test😂😅
The kids may be acting out because there’s no father figure or they’re frustrated because they miss their father. Such a tragedy yet there is still so much strength, love, and beauty. Maybe one day Masha will remarry but we all know that no man will ever compare to her husband.
I've visited Uzbekistan in 2011. Amazing history and people. People don't realize these people contributed to world history. They founded the Mughal empire in India and Algebra was created by a Uzbek
I feel sad for the grandparents. The children don't show respect towards them. Whtatever maybe the reason of such ,,either them being kids..but that shouldn't be ignored. They do a lot for the kids. Not everyone is that lucky.
i feel bad when i move to different country with my bf, i always complaint that i feel lonely to go around the city with his driver and go to mall everyday. i cant imagine if i have to live abroad alone with two kids and have to works hard :( watching this makes me feel thankful with what i have...this woman is a super mom
That little boy needs some serious discipline. I grew up with only a mom as well because my dad passed on early. But my mom did not tolerate this type of bulls**t from us, her children. You can't be rude like that and get away with it.
Man this episode really hit me. They are such good people i really hope everything is going well for them still. They have a lot of love with each other 💕 I pray they have good days
You have beautiful voice I hope you become successful and well known And I really like the parents they are very nice coming all the way to help her. It's very beautiful so see such a loving and caring family
Ah, the little boy is very stubborn - to put it mildly I guess. On the other hand, this might just be him acting out? I lost my father at a very young age too (and was only raised by my mom) and I remember my brother acting out very badly, something that lasted way into his teen years. You can't really do anything about it, except give him a stable home life with clear rules and maybe have a counselor talk to him on the regular, so he is able to give the loss of his father a place. That being said, I have nothing but respect for the mother - raising two kids by yourself after losing your husband and mother in law in a country that is not your own - and I hope that with the help of her own parents, she is able to pull through and live happily with her kids!
Oh...her father looks like robert de niro...😸 I understand her kid behave like that...its because their father was not around...maybe he missed him so much...i hope one day he will be mature boy that can take care his mother...
Very nice.Nice family with so much suffering but still try hard to servive. Hands off to Masha . after every dark night there is shinny day to come.we pray better days are ahead for you.
So much love for this family. This is one of my fav episodes One thing which makes me confused is that she was praying (I think she is muslim from the way she was praying) but she gave soju to her parents or showed them..
Yes, I understand why you may be confused. The majority of the Uzbek population is Muslim, about 96%, but that doesn't mean that everyone is deeply religious. All throughout Uzbekistan, you will meet people who drink alcohol (mainly men) or wear shorter clothing. You will also see a couple clubs in the capital city. This is due to the fact that it was controlled by the Soviet Union at one point. During the Soviet Union era, the Soviet Union tried to wipe out all religion and spiritual beliefs of the people in it's territory so therefore most Uzbeks are classified as part of the "cultural Muslim" community. - written by an Uzbek

mom- "what if you gain more weight?"
son- "then I'll gain more weight." 😂
I came to the comment section for this particular comment😂😂

I felt the same too! I feel like they are going to look back and regret being that way!

I totally agree with you, that such rude children, if they were mine, I would have turned them over to their grandparents 😑
I think that has to do a lot with bullying- I notice kids who get bullied often resent their parents. Even more so when the reason for bullying is a foreign parent
Yeah right. I feel bad for his grandfather😢

right ! its the environment, shouldn't blame him he's still young and probably can't think for himself.

She has a caring n understanding parents, hopefully d brats will learn 2b more respectful of their grandparents n towards other.
Why do you talk that way about literal children? Children need to act out some times, test the waters in order to learn boundaries.
I cried so much in this episode she is amazing women I wish her all the best
She is very well manner and kind. Welcome to Korea
굳건히 사는 거 보고 감동 했습니다 성공한 또 행복하고 알찬 앞날이 곧 오기를 기원합니다. Fighting!!!

I felt so sad seeing that the son was embarrassed of his grandpa 🤧🤧and the grandpa was obviously hurt but he was being understanding
Beautiful voice wow ...I loved her idea to go to sons school to educate his classmates about her future
I've visited Uzbekistan in 2011. Amazing history and people. People don't realize these people contributed to world history. They founded the Mughal empire in India and Algebra was created by a Uzbek

i’m surprised the kid gets bullied when he looks like a fully korean kid in my opinion, ig its just bc the kids know about his grandparents
That little boy needs some serious discipline. I grew up with only a mom as well because my dad passed on early. But my mom did not tolerate this type of bulls**t from us, her children. You can't be rude like that and get away with it.

Маша сизга бахт ва соглик тилаб коламан! Болларингизни бахтини куриш насиб этсин!
'I hope he accepts us as Korean' _ A mom to her son. That hurts me alot. Hope he will grow up and takecare and love his mom and grand parents.
Masha you are such an amazing mum . Fighting !!!
The late son-in-law was loved so much. 💕

Her kids so beautiful!!💓💞
I feel sad... for her it must be really hard for her
اللهم صل على محمد وآل محمد وعجل فرجهم الشريف
so many tears
So much love for this family. This is one of my fav episodes
One thing which makes me confused is that she was praying (I think she is muslim from the way she was praying) but she gave soju to her parents or showed them..
Some people have their own beliefs and relationship with god. Not for you to judge.
+T K I don't know if you're angry or anything but I was just asking so thanks

@@bangjk9014 tq for the explanation
When her kids grow up, they will regret how they treat their grandparents
Very poignant and inspiring episode, as she does really try to juggle everything on her own, as a widow. Wish her the best.
When mina said "appa~" as she looked at her father. Damn that hurts my heart
Well it's not easy to raise children as a single parent ( and is a foreigner too ). She is really a great woman
I really wasn't expecting Boombayah 😂
I liked ur comment just cuz jungkook is my bias too...
she is good singer, what about going to "I can see your voice"
The children have to have way more respect I’m aware they are still young but they need to learn smh🙄
Thank God she has the support of her remaining family~~~ What will she do without support from her parents? Losing your husband, and then losing your mother in law too? I feel for Masha.. I wouldn't want to stay in Korea after they passed.
one of the best episodes imo
I cut way too many onions on this episode
cried a lot for this episode
