Why are there so many transfers from Warsaw to Prague night sleeper trains in July 2024? Isn't there any sleeper compartment where I do not have to change or transfer?
I took that train in April for the section Szczecin to Krakow. It arrives way too early in Krakow, could have used more sleep. Nevertheless this night train Przemyslanin I think is one of the few night trains in Europe which has a dining car running throughout the journey. Enjoyed that perk very much
Hello Pete, your Trip Report videos are always a treat. These night trips, especially in berths. It's been a long time since I did it. To see super comfortable train and lulled by the rolling of the train. Nice Prague Station which I took twice in March. And the landscapes of 🌃, the stops at the station are great. congratulations on your video Pete it really makes you want to take the train often. Happy Sunday and best regards from Dives Cabourg in Prague 🇸🇽👋👍📽️🤩🤩
In the open saloon one (the Slovakian SK-ZSSK class Bpeer 29-70) You cannot turn off the lights from safety reason, it might be dimmed by the crew. Originally the Slovakian (or related international) night trains used to have comparments for seated passengers, but it always happened, like two of them locked the doors from inside and after multiple complaints the operator decided to use open saloon coaches. (this one in the video is still better, than the only national route ones....)😎
This train doesn’t have a restaurant car in a whole route.. And from the new timetable, the dining cars will be cancelled on trains between Vienna and Poland (EC/IC Polonia, Danubius, Moravia), the only PKP dining car will remain on the EC/IC Sobieski train.
@@PeteBrandyvery interesting and sad for a dining car enthusiast like me. Do you know if those will be relocated on other trains or simply pull off to the side? I've been on all those trains this year and enjoyed the catering services available
2:48 - it's a pity that the additional carriages are not displayed. The same problem is on some stations in Poland (eg train you travelled - part of EN Chopin to Wien - with direct cars to Prague and Budapest is ussually displayed as train to Wien only).

Přesně před rokem jsem jel tuto trasu RegioNovou, ale v opačném směru ze Zruče do Kutné Hory, akorát se nedalo udělat video protože jela ve vlaku skupinka asi 20 studentů co dělali hluk :-D
Nice report Pete , I love sleeper train travel unfortunately I feel myself getting sleepy watching overnight travels but I’ve managed to stay awake until the end, enjoy your travels Pete I certainly enjoy going along with you on your travels
Až někdy pojedu nočním vlakem s posádkou kterou znám, tak zkusím natočit více.. Takto je lepší nevzdalovat se od vozů, protože někdy mohou být čekající vozy odstavené mimo nástupiště :-D
@@PeteBrandy No, jo, vždyť já to vím.
It is third time you present on your channel CD sleeping car on Poland-Prague road. Is there aby other reason you take this train so often than fact that this kind of CD sleeping car are almost perfect?😊 Btw do you plan in future to try night train in new countries like Romana, Italy or even in Scandinavia or UK?
I traveled this route quite often (mostly as a connection for the next journey), originally the intention was only one video from the Deluxe compartment and one video from the Standard compartment. I made this video only because the breakfast service has changed this year (in Deluxe and Single cabins breakfast is served on porcelain). I had already planned Intercity Notte, but unfortunately I have planned travel date when there was a strike of railway workers.. but I still have Italy and Sweden planned :-)
Great video, thank you. I have taken this train many times. Always a pleasure. I can certainly recommend. Of course it is more expensive than some flight options but it is well worth it. Thanks again
Great video, very clean and seemingly quiet train. I am looking forward to my trip though the Czech Republic next April. All but one train trip will be with Regiojet, I am so impressed with them.
Which is the best - this or the new OBB?
Why are there so many transfers from Warsaw to Prague night sleeper trains in July 2024? Isn't there any sleeper compartment where I do not have to change or transfer?
2 cars to Warsaw, 4 cars to Humenne, and 2 sleeping cars to Kosice, right?
Great video. So you pay for a sleeper reservation on-line then pay for the ticket once your at tge station before you start your journey?
looks great, really comfy.
Yes, it is, one of the best sleeping cars in Europe.
Sehr schönes Video muss ich sagen
You can also check couchette or sleeping car the PKP "IC Przemyślanin" train in Poland. It connects Przemyśl and Świnoujście.
Yes, I know, last time when I wanted to try Przemyslanin it was sold out, so I took TLK Karkonosze 😀

Around $300AU for single occupancy of a sleeper cabin for a similar distance as Melbourne to Sydney is very good value.
Yes, it is. :-)
Imma new subscribers so gotta watch
Thank you for the ride on this very nice train.
Thanks so much for watching 😎
How nice are trains there.

Hello Pascal! Thanks for watching! Praha hl.n. is beautiful station :-) Have a nice Sunday. Greetings from Prague :-)
Platform 1A serves both tracks, so there are only 8 of them in the final. They are still divided into platform north and platform south.
European coaches are too bright at night. How do passengers sleep?
You turn off the light

Cabin looks quite nice. Could you have gotten a second cup of coffee? Nice vid.
nice videos, but just one thing, when showing prices you could also give the price in PLN since the trip was to Poland, 137€ is around 631PLN
Was there at any point a restaurant car attached to the train?

Yes, it is. I remember when I travel from Warsaw that Wien is displayed on the board.. it is very confusing for many passengers.
Shower pressure looks weak.
Not bad for a train

Do you film with an iPhone?
😊
😎
Was the coffee hot?
yes
Já bych tak chtěl vidět to posunování v Břeclavi i taky v Bohumíně. Možná raz se nakopnu k tomu, ale jenom k tomu, vždyť jsou tam i klasické vozy...😁

Will there be coaches to warsaw in 2024 ?
Do you have the same kit if you book a standard bed ?
The same as in standard plus shower gel
