Nice review! What you said about the 'hard boom' when closing the tailgate, the rollback when in incline position (though it has a hill start assist that suppose to be working but only does so in a steeper incline) , and the question about whether it has dual clutch or only a torque converter transmission because of the confusing gear movement in a slow speed are things that I feel and never be discussed in other channels Good job!
i just noticed that these Peugeots are getting common dahil nakakita ako ng repossessed na Expert Tepee, saka yung small sedan nila na parang VW Jetta hehe. i hope Renault and Citroen can also bring their cars here, my mom has a Renault-Samsung XM3 in South Korea and sabi nya, sulit yung price sa inooffer nung sasakyan.
Trying to buy my second car and I'm torn between Mazda CX-9 FWD, Peugeot 5008 1.6L Allure and the Maxus D90 4x4 Premium AT. Wanting to buy the Mazda but there are some features that aren't there that those other models have. And this model in the video is the top of the line variant. So, I'm still undecided. Any advice for a fairly new buyer and driver? Appreciate your review, man. Thanks.
@@KyleLiongCars I currently have a sedan, but now, I want a family type of car. After some thinking, I decided to either get an SUV or a minivan. So either an Everest, a Fortuner, CX-9 or a Grand Carnival. Will explore your channel for the reviews of the other models mentioned to help me trim my choices to two. Thanks. Love the channel, btw.
@@KyleLiongCars oh really? Grabe what a coincidence taena gagahaha! Always loved the 5008 i hope their new distributors will do a better job at marketing the car tbh
@@KyleLiongCars so far ive been seeing some aggressive advertising online but they should probably go the Geely route and get more organic publicity with influencers etc. to lure in more people. After all they’re Peugeot theyre not just any upstart brand. Hahaha looking forward to your vid
I beg to differ. There was a survey in Europe, i think in the UK, that ranked the Peugeot 3008 the most reliable in that region, followed by Nissan Qashqai, and surprisingly, the BMW 5 Series came in last with most owners very dissatisfied. Peugeots may not be that reliable compared to other European cars in the Philippines like the BMW, Benz, Porsche, and Mini because parts are scarce and shit expensive for their class and the brand is still a toddler in the local market.
I came here to do a bit of research on the Peugeot. I must say I agree with Abhijit's observation. I assumed that you, Kyle, had a wealth of personal experience with French vehicles considering you kept saying "very French" after making a negative comment or pointing out design quirks. Apparently you do not. I suggest you rein in those digs until you know whereof you speak. "Aren't very known" is a bias and should not be part of a reviewer's toolkit. Keep an open mind, my good sir. Just a bit of constructive criticism. 🤔 Other than that, I thought it was a good review. 👍
The coolray does not have a 3rd row so storage-wise palang the coolray has the lower hand. Interior quality is also not that comparable, ive sat in both and the Peugeot feels more premium and bespoke (similar to a Mazda or an Azkarra). The coolray has a a good exterior and interior design pero unfortunately loaded with more cheap-feelings plastics especially the door panel tops and the actual metallic-looking plastic, and the leather is a bit better on the Peugeot also. Mas maluwag inside the 5008 too, and you get adequate airconditioning for the body and foot at the rear seats. I do like the larger screen on the Coolray, although the lack of apple carplay and android auto talaga is a bummer sana iupgrade nila instead of relying on the laggy QD link. it's really comparing apples to oranges if youre gonna force the coolray into the picture; the traditional rival for this car is the Mazda CX-8, although the okavango is also comparable (and more affordable). In a nutshell, the 5008 has the space of the Okavango and the quality of an Azkarra. No Coolray in the picture. Bonus points talaga yung fact na it's a European car which cant be said about Geely, but it's nice that the masses are being offered technologies for a cheaper price with the entry of Chinese brands like Geely MG and Changan. This is probably the area where Kia and Hyundai should have capitalized on, but instead we're getting rental-car levels of equipment in their offerings here.

Great review! T’was informative, and entertaining at the same time. Keep it up! 🙌🏼
P.S. Peugeot’s fb page featured your video review.

Among your shortlist, I’d personally go for the CX-9. :)

Reliability?
Too early to tell
Why wouldn't you say where is this brand from? Not even once.
Huhh?
looks WAY better than an innova tho
Of course
Great ride...

Great review!!! French cars are worse than Geelies, Fotons, Cheries, JMCs, etc.?
Geely and Chery? Can't really say, probably the same if not better. Fotons and JMCs? Peugeots are definitely better
@@KyleLiongCars yup, if it is was in sports mode, it generates artificial sound inside.
good detailed review, but its annoying when u keep saying "very French" seems like you have a lot of personal problems with France.
It’s just French cars aren’t very known for their reliability. Sorry 🥲🥲
