Orignal homm5 (pre Hordes expansion) is just normal necromancy except you can summon upgraded skeletons (ranged).

I like these H5.5 playthrough a lot, but I think the problem of H5.5 is the developers overcomplicate everything and provide lacking documentation.

Lexi hating the gating so much lol. I can understand him though. In 5.5 they nerfed it to ground. In regular game you got basically double the stack with instant turn.

And if I remember correctly there even was permanent gating at some point but it was quickly nerfed to instant gating
