My husband didn’t have a secure job when we got engaged/married. But I was so pleased with his Deen and his akhlaq and we both knew that Allah provides barakah and riqz. It was 3 months after we got married that my husband got a job that pays 3x the amount that he used to earn. Alhamdullilah 💗

Before I found my husband-to-be I prayed to Allah to marry me with a man that is right for me and I right for him. I acknowledge my weakness that I'm a human that only can do so much, and cannot see the future. I ask for Allah's guidance (something I routinely do until now). When I found my husband-to-be I did the istikharah prayer. For 3 nights I did it until after the third night doing it, a big calm and steadfastness came over me, and I married him not long after.
When we first met he wasn't very religious, but he did his daily wajib salats, and he had a good etiquette. He's family (parents and siblings) has a strong bond with each other. He was a strong and responsible man. He didn't have a lot of money but he had a job and a willingness to work.
Alhamdulillah now we have 5 children (so far), and I feel really compatible with him. We fill and cover for each other. We've went through a lot of ups and downs (or downs and more downs, before coming up 😁).
When we married I was 19 and he was 24. I was in university and he dropped out of university. Alhamdulillah I graduated more than 2.5 years later, bringing a toddler and a baby.
Since I was in elementary school I've read a lot of books about Islamic marriage so I understand the responsibilities of the wife and husband. I also got to read the book Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus. I discussed it with my husband and used that to learn how to be a better spouse for him.
One advice I took to heart in the beginning of my marriage and has served me well is this: "focus on my responsibilities and forget my rights." This might sound crazy in a world that focuses too much on rights. I focus my mind and energy on doing my responsibilities, and only ask my payment from Allah. Alhamdulillah, this helped me be more thankful and receive so much good in my life.
I pray that my husband and I will be forever together 'till Jannah, and rise good and strong muslim men and women that in turn will build up strong families. Aamiin.

My ex husband was b=very religious, going for jamaat every month and doing joula every week. But he was so abusive in every single way that after 27 long, painful years, I filed for divorce. It has been 1.5 years and i still have not gotten my freedom because he won't let me go. I suffer from mental health issues and none of my 4 daughters want to ever get married because of how I was treated. It is thanks to these so called scholars that spread male supremacy that gives men license to men to abuse women without any consequences. it is so sad that under the name of religion, men are been glorified just because they are born with a penis.

    • @3boodlotus
      @3boodlotus Год назад +13

I'm so sorry to hear your story. However, I don't know what you mean by "so called scholars glorifying religious men" Sister, I don't know about other scholars, but Shaykh Ali Hammuda clearly stated that women shouldn't marry a man only because he's "a religious person" they should look at his conduct behind close doors. So, the fact that your daughters don't wanna get married is really concerning. Because, if they are scared of marriage, then they will find comfort in other way i.e., non-marital relationship. So, I advice you to teach your daughters that they won't have to go through what you went through. I know you are traumatized by your ex, but plz for the sake of Allah don't pass your prejudice view of men to your daughters that's extremely dangerous. Anyways, May Allah swt, ease your pain and suffering.
btw, I've nv seen any scholar that give permission to husbands to be abusive toward their wives. I don't know who you're taking about. But if that's true, then they are not scholars they are something else. And ppl like that should nv hv any platform EVER.

On the sexual drive of the language of economy mentioned - “Women are the suppliers, Men are demanders”…with all due respect to our teacher, and I know that is not his statement but that is not correct and misleading that women dont care much about mAking the most of their sexual with spouse. Sexual desire differences between women and men is so wide. Some are more sexual than the other, regardless of gender, its clear that Allah created us differently as stated many times. Also not to be negative, i.e. many women are divorcing their husbands because of bad sexual life, very common in UAE and Qatar. This can also be vice versa unfortunately. And let’s not forget the incel movement that’s rampant amongst men young and old subhanaAllah

Subhanallah, Allahu Akbar you said exactly what I was think, jazakallah khair for your comment. I think the discussion of marriage principles were great up until the " insert" of differences amongst men and women . In my opinion it's because you can't use popular culture to explain the sharia of Allah. Never the less there is a Sister Sara in the Maghreb institute who does a great job. I also agree with your references on how those poor stereotypes lead to a lot of Muslim men not understanding women ( Ya Rabbi help our beloved brothers) and struggling in relationship involving females i.e. sister's, mother, sisters in the deen , mother in law , wives. I know the teacher means well , May Allah recorded this in his book of deeds nevertheless.

@@abdaalahmad5483 if you think Allah allowed you to have 4 wives as a man because of sexual needs, then you have missed the point and need to educate yourself. It’s filthy and degrading of you to even think like that about what Allah made permissible. And no, men don’t have a higher need of sexual needs, its an individualistic matter, rather then gender based

@@abdaalahmad5483 science lie, and women capacity for out reach men, this is why female prostitution made for a better business then male prostitution. It do appear that men aren't as in control of their desires as much as the majority of women. Also men aren't discretionary about sex either, which makes of for the diversity of the porn business profits. So men who are Muslims i.e. believers should practice morality, decency and upright that is encouraged through the Sunnah and leave the findings of science to the other men. Surely Allah knows best and set for the believers a straight path ! ( science doesn't exactly understand that)

In reference to his last point about rigid gender roles, doesn’t Islam accommodate a mutually beneficial relationship between a husband and a wife? For example, the Prophet SAW used to help around the house while Hazrat Khadija RA was a successful businesswoman? How does one explain that dynamic in light of what Ali Hammuda is highlighting? To my understanding, Islam is much more accommodating than what most religious preachers teach.

Khadija RA had inherited the wealth from his father khuwailid and his earlier two marriages, she also only conducted buisnes from her home, on the other hand the prophet Muhammad SAW was never a stay at home husband(there is nothing such as a stay at home husband in Islam) he was a merchant and used to travel with goods to trade, this was the very reason he was considered by Khadija RA to take her merchandise aswell. There is a big difference between helping in household chores and being a stay at home husband. One is a good quality that everyone should have and the other is a dead beat.

Now it is encouraged to help around the house for men and its okay for women to work but that's not what the quran advises or the hadith if you look at the whole religion. It is advised for woman to be the maintainers of the home and men to go out and work

How bout the girls who don't dress modestly, like to hang with guys , and know how to play with them, but claim to be righteous and full of iman? I have my thoughts, but seriously would like to know what others think?? Check yes for these girls or check no?

So if I'm correct the brother says that people from different cultures can't marry? I thought Islam was brought to humanity to dismantle these cultural barriers and backgrounds that we all belong to the one cloak the Umma of Allah that he created us differently so we may know one another other?
Can someone explain to me, maybe I got that part wrong.

No you can marry in to other cultures but you need to keep in mind about culture clash and other things like social class and righteousness and other things that could bring problems into your marriage. Thats why this part of the segments is about things you need to keep in mind before marriage

Is it acceptable to say such a thing akhi? May Allah guide us and forgive us

Asalaam Alaikum Ustadh some times we inadvertently connect two different issues together. So how the tension and discomfort in your closing of this lecture focused on feminist women not Muslimah that entire portion detracts from the remaining portion of the lecture.
That is to say if we are discussing that which halal in islam harboring over things that are not part of our Deen and does not strengthen your bottom line is wasteful for you and the viewers. The blurb about non-Muslims women feminist Audhubillah Minash Shaitan Rajeem that was not called for your excerpt spoiled my goal of sharing this with non-Muslims women because that is not how the Rasool of Allah salalahi alayahi wa salaam called to that which is right , best or good.
    Inshallah that will make sense

Its lowly to marry a woman for her money

3 and half Years ago I knew a girl, very sweet, loving and beautiful! We were Soo in love (and 700 km separated us) but didn't want anything before getting married.
So she spoke with her parents and told them about us, what we wanted (Halal) ...etc
Then we agreed to meet, so I went to see them (13h by bus 2 days after a was hospitalized due to a bicycle accident).
For the context at that time I was doing a very hard job (I was a food delivery man riding bicycle 🚲 and a scooter 🛵) and that's when I had an accident. Anyway I still went to see her parents inspite of the pain and I told them everything about me. I was and still praying, I don't smoke, don't drink, that I had studied a lot (I have a master degree in robotics and am very good El hamdoulilleh in informatics) but I am in a bad administrative situation (papers).
So I told them everything even the fact that I was in love few years prior but that was over.
When we finished they had asked my only question about me but never told me what they expect and they didn't reject me. Then with her father we want outside tu drink a coffee and we spoke, and the only thing he kept saying was why don't I return to my country (this is happening in France)...etc
When I went back to my home for more then a week they kept trying to destroy the relationship we had with the girl, they didn't even speak to me to tell me their answer, using lies against me (he is not trust worthy, he will leave you for an other girl, he will not take care of you, he only wants the papers....etc) and by Allah I was 100% honest with her but they didn't want to know anything and kept using lies and bringing questions to her that they never dated to ask me face to face.
This is my story showing how sad it is to see how "muslim" parents are nowdays.
    El hamdoulilleh anyway.
