Whisky.com reviews the Glenlivet 200th Anniversary Edition 12 Years. This single malt from Glenlivet was created to celebrate the company's 200th anniversary. In collaboration with the design agency Talented House, the distillery motivated independent artists from all over the world to create an unconventional bottle design for the anniversary bottling. The connoisseurs and fans of the Speyside distillery chose their favourite from four designs. The single malt, matured for 12 years in American oak casks, was given a green look with hand-drawn motifs, all of which relate to the Glenlivet distillery and the production of whisky.

My neighbor just gave me a bottle. Solid pour
Is it different from the regular one with higher abv?
Yes well apart from being higher ABV (43 vs 40) it’s aged exclusively in first fill ex-Bourbon cask. The standard 12 year old is aged in Bourbon and sherry casks (American and European Oak they say)
Hope this shows up in the states. I have the travel exclusive Glenlivet 12 First Fill which should be Identical to this 200th anniversary sounds like.
So just the same as the regular bottling in fancy packaging?
Regular = 40%
The regular is matured in European and American oak, this is just first fill American at the higher abv. So not the same in a fancy box, but not radically different
Thanks@@notthedj for the info, so similar. Wasted opportunity to go 46% NCF & NC.
12 yo, first fill american oak and 43%
Speyside not highland.
The glenlivet is a Highland whisky :)
Isn’t it from Speyside?
