This game is still so beautiful. I don't care about ultra realistic graphics.. Good design always shines through. Thank you LOTRO for being a beautiful escape, and thank you to Tolkien, of course :)
A great experiencie for those who resonate with Tolkien magic world. Time has passed and listening to this evokes feelings similar to past ones, a home that is always in our hearts. Thanks to the creators and those who enjoy it
Damn that makes me want to play again. First time I played was 7 years ago, my first MMO. I guess it's like your first girlfriend, no matter how she was you'll always remember her.
Everybody talking about nostalgia, and here I am enjoying the game right now :D Yes I started late (2018), but haven't stopped playing since :) the worlds are still alive, and LOTRO's version of middle earth is so fun travel around in.
My first also, started in 2010 after it went f2p. Loved it so much I subscribed and spent lots of time on there, met some awesome people, made some good friends etc. They all eventually stopped logging on after a couple years, really great people I wish I could have kept in touch with. The people were part of the magic of the game. I think I stopped playing as much around 2014 or 15. Then the server merges happened. I was from windfola, ended up switching to brownstone. Think that was a mistake, would have rather went to landroval or something, where they rp and still do lower level content. That's a huge part of the nostalgia for me. I love everything up to and including isengard. I've been on a lotro nostalgia trip lately so I may ditch my higher level characters and go to a server that's more my style. I prefer the older areas and content, my highest character is 100 but I hate the essence system and the grind at endgame now so I may leave it there.
Man, It's been awhile since I've played this game. I remember going through the beta and then playing that game for years up until about halfway through Moria. The music was probably the number 1 reason why I played
Galion Silevion You and me both, buddy. When they announced that the game had no learning curve and was deemed to difficult for new players to get into, they changed the unique skill slot system for cookie cutter skill trees. I only got on to see what it was like and I hated it.
I can see that happening, they're pushing the story a lot! I've played it a lot over the 8 years but its never as good as the first moments, the friends that played it leave and the game you know changes! There are plenty of awesome games out there still so its not all bad. I had a similar love for a game when i first played oblivion
I miss playing LotRO, but it got boring and repetitious. I left when they released North Mirkwood.....I think I logged in two times and said....blah....the game needs a makeover; it needs a new game engine....graphics....but I still miss it....
I drop in just for some nostalgia here and there. I came late to the gondor and mordor party and gondor was decent but I hated mordor. Rohan sucked, honestly Mirkwood was the last expansion that felt fun. Moria was fantastic and Angmar but the game fell off hard :\

That is soo true :)

12:55 by far the best.
Nostalgic for old kingdoms thst ruled those lands.
Nostalgia just smacked me right in the face. This was my first MMO.
same here :(
I've decimated the boar population in Bree :) My first MMO as well.
Ben Jahn same here, just redownloaded it and I came back to find all my kinnies still active, I was in tears bro, in tears
First MMO; I remember the feeling my friend; magical.

This really brings me back, thanks for uploading.
Lotro still has a strong community, and it shall remain so :)
This was my first unique mmorpg experience, i shall never forget this game and the epic momments i lived there back in 2011

Trollshaw wilderness at night with the music at 0:00 is something I’ll remember forever
4:11 and 11:15
I used to most the starting locations...bree shire. Nice land weather music very calm and smooth...like it, actually pure remaster want badly
IF and when this awesome game gets closed down, i REALLY wish that we get the data to make private servers. I need it to live!
Always been a dream of mine
I don't think they will ever shut this game down. They've put so much love and work in it and there are so many people who really love it... :)
4:11
Such a jolly tune
While Tolkien may not like the liberties this game took, I think he'd love the music. Its so good.
Still my favorite MMO of all-time. Started in '97 with UO. Played UO, EQ, SWG, LoTRO, WoW, GW and DAoC.
Well composed by Chance Thomas. A shame that he is not composing for Lotro anymore
And he's back for MORDOR, with plenty of new music tracks.
I low key want to download it again. Not my first MMO, but it seems to be my favorite. I keep coming back. Lol
I stopped playing at 2013, now 6 years later this bring me back to those old days, thanks a lot
I miss lotro and all the friendly people playing it
Damn, I miss this game.
played it at Release and it was awesome..great community..great roleplay..fanstastic music and just a really great Game..
This makes me want to go back and play LOTR: Online, those were the best days :)
I love lotro so much! And this is so wonderful music! :-)
Me too, the musics and the people I met there will always be a part of us :)
Home❤️...
Yes!
tellement de souvenirs
4:11 - the one we all came here for
Ah man, now I want to go run around the Shire...
Yep! The theme that made me want to play LotRO.
Tom Bombadil's theme is my favorite, though I enjoy all of it. And BOO for the two losers who gave this a thumbs down.
Chance Thomas' music is just as good as Howard Shore's!
1:00 literally sounds like a song from The Witcher 3, could easily be a song from Novigrad

Can somebody tell me the name of the song at 11:00, and if I can buy that theme in-game, for my house?
I know this is two years late but its called Lotro "Things To Come"
I miss this game 2 years ago (when I started), it's not the same game now :(
Galion Silevion You and me both, buddy. When they announced that the game had no learning curve and was deemed to difficult for new players to get into, they changed the unique skill slot system for cookie cutter skill trees. I only got on to see what it was like and I hated it.
Bruce Mejia I now got used to trait trees, but yes, I think it was way better before :/
Galion Silevion I miss this game 8 years ago! Such great charm, obviously I remember it all nostalgically but i preferred it pre Mirkwood for sure!

i'm on windows 7 so i'm not sure! I've been having issues logging in recently, seem to have problems recently i never used to!
5 best years of my life in this mmo bevor getting patched broken and to easy
What is the name of the first tune?
+hollyblue28 LOTRO - Shadows of Angmar Soundtrack - Vale of Imladris
Tom Bombadil and 1:03
which soundtrack is the one at 04.15?
+Cryseth late reply, but it's the Tom Bombadil theme :)
Its Tom Bombadil's theme, you can hear this music in-game in Tom Bombadil's house.
