    I think this can be a great confidence boost for anyone who's doing combat sports. You're not a failure if you lose your debut, you're capable of bouncing back and become great like these fighters we look up to.

      Oliveira had 3 losses (one was an NC which isn't a loss, but it certainly isn't a win) at one stage. And then he persevered through another 22 fights to get a title shot.

      Brandon Thatch, Eric Silva, Lando Vannata (Even though he lost, it was still a crazy fight against a prime Ferguson), Albert Tumenov, Marc Diakiese, Tod Duffee, and of course the wonder twins: Paige "OnlyVans" Vanzant and Sage Northcut.

    Another great example outside of MMA is Bernard Hopkins. He started boxing in his 30s while he was in prison and would lose in his pro debut but would later go in to become one of the most disciplined, intelligent and technical combat athletes to ever live.

    Dodson had Dillasnake dead to rights, 3 hits on a downed opponent and still the CEO of EPO whined about an early stoppage and stole away from Dodson's brilliant performance. That was just the beginning of 'I just want to be a role model' being a sore loser.

      @@respha9925 Can't stand him given that, whether it's a 30 second or 1 round stoppage like Dodson or Cejudo or a 25 minute clinic like Cruz, he will find any and all ways to take away from the opponent and argue an early/incorrect stoppage. He's the biggest sore loser in the business, competitive to the toxic level.
