Really great channel for us crossing over from guitar! Now I can try and play 12 and 8 bar blues in Key of E using these 3 blues scale patterns for I, IV and V and figure out some turnarounds. Maybe you have a lesson on blues turnarounds?
Another Awesome lesson!! Thanks Wayne!! I actually did a skype session on this very lesson about a year ago with Wayne and it was a tremendous help. It unlocked a whole new sound to my playing. Love how easy it is to move this around.
Thanks Wayne for all your videos! I just realized you played with iiird Tyme out. Your music is great I’m enjoying all of this content. Keep up the great work!
Yep. This particular blues shape "lays" great on the fretboard and will hopefully encourage further study of "closed position" blues. Check out that video if you haven't already.
Love love love this Channel. I love the music at the beginning of this video. Can anyone direct me to where I might find it? Even cooler... if there is a backing track that I can noodle along with.
Thx for the comment Edwin. That intro music is just me goofin off in my home studio. It's been fun using these "demos" I made thru the years for original music on the channel. Someday I hope to find myself in the studio with a great crew of musicians and record the stuff live instead of me overdubbing all the parts......
Thx Ty! I'll be lookin forward to a Skype session. Check out "Closed Position Blues" here on WWoM if you didn't already and be on the lookout for "Improvisational Roadmaps" coming soon.
Wayne I was wondering what the electric mandolin you show in your is. I've never seen one like it, and it looks like exactly what I want for an electric mandolin.
Wayne, thank you so much for all the great content. I really enjoy your channel and the way you explain things so they make sense. You have several great sounding mandolins, I was wondering which one was your favorite?
@@waynesworldofmandolin3616 That is what I thought. I believe in one of his videos he said he uses Kentucky red spruce and it sounds killer. Happy Holidays
Thanks Wayne! Awesome. 😊
Yes Sir! Love blues!
Thanks Wayne
This is my new favorite you tube channel! Thank you
Glad you like WWoM and hope you visit often......

That's a great idea for a video! I'll add that to the list of topics I hope to cover this winter. Thank you.

Thx for the comment Billy. I hope to create a blues rhythm video soon....
Another super lesson. Love the pairing suggestion too!
Thx Michael. I plan to make those "pairing" suggestions more in the future as the channel content grows.

Thx for the question Steven. The mandolin I'm playing in this video is the prototype of my Gibson Wayne Benson signature model.
This blew my mind. One of these months in 2021 I'll sign up for a solo lesson.

Glad you enjoy WWoM! My favorite is definitely the one you see most in these videos. It's an F-5 built by Jonathan McClanahan.

My bad the video said he uses red spruce from Tennessee.
