The reason you didn't know about it is because it's all fabricated bull shit created by 4chan to bullshit teenagers into falling for there sex trafficking plot.
Yeah. Trolls never have anything going for them so they devote the entirety of their time to attempting to make other people as miserable and angry as they are. Studies of trolls have found that most are sociopaths or sadists, that generally have noone in their life because they cant build lasting sociol relationships because noone can tolerate them
@@FuryanJedi13 agree 100%. The tactics alone were impressive, but the speed with which they did it every time was insane. Incredibly industrious....and that's just from random people on the internet. Government agencies with all their resources can't get stuff done that quickly 😂
The Trojan horse @ 24:42 is impressive strategising... convincing them to unknowingly DDOS their own servers is genius really, because it would be difficult in the midst of all that chaos for the 9GAG admins to stop their users from taking revenge on their "attackers." And the longer they distracted 9GAG with the obvious stuff (the bigoted posts, illegal content & DDOSing) the more users could be tricked into blindly spamming their own servers... in theory, 9GAG users could unwittingly keep their own servers offline for far longer than even 4chan expected.

There is one group that "Fed the trolls" and got away with it. . The Gulf Cartel There was one time when Anonymus declare ware against the Cartel. This time Anon underestimated the Gulf, who are one of the most brutal Cartels of Mexico back then there shared a similar loose structure to Anon, understands them. Worst of all, trained by CIA and Israeli Mossad thugs, hence the Brutality. Unlike HP, rather than going against the "Leaders", the Cartel made it a hobby in farming Hydra heads, literally. They declared a bounty on any suspect anon member`s head, hired or coerced a Internet security company to track the hackers, and they rolled out with their guns and machete, to hunt the Anons IRL. The Cartel dragged anonymus out of the virtual world into the real life, and there was probably some Anon heads that did rolled...as well as probably some innocents. In the end, Anon backed out, as they realised the Mexican Cartels was a different beast than some shitty celebs or arrogant corpos.
Yeah, Anon is chaotic good, but peaceful. [redacted] is lawful evil and brutal af. anon may share gore, cheese pizza [...] - [redacted] are the once producing it.
The sony shutdown pretty much killed socom which was sad My sister also got hacked from the leak because her info was saved on her ps3. She lost her entire bank account but luckily the bank got her money back. Was very scary at the time
I would've been happy af in Shia's position. If its an expressive artwork, the idea of bringing hundreds of people together to play this capture the flag game, with the "He will not divide us" tagline no less, should've been perfect.
Yep and the scariest sentencee in cybersecurityy isRedditt, 4chan and tumbr have teamed up they are a force to behold. ( except Ciccida 3301) and you mentioned it and security agencies now recuit from reddit and tumbr
So wait, you include the 2nd story that had nothing to do with anonymous but forgot the one in recent years when they exposed a list of over 1000 predators?
Write like I know 4chan and anonymous have this massive connection but anonymous in the modern times does a lot of good trying to get people to stand up for themselves and fight back against corruption and s*** like that The trolling thing with Shia LaBeouf if anything you think they'd go after the museum and didn't they release a bunch of s*** on Donald Trump like his tax documents or some s*** that was up for like a few days before it got taken down
I love when cnn or other news articles say that so and so actress calls out people online like its some sort of power play. They dont understand that them doing that is exacly what they want and hilariously makes them look stupid
I love no matter how many times it happens, when someone hears Anonymous tell warn them "Fuck around and find out..." the first response is to fuck around harder lol
They only failed because the flag was made from non-flammable materials. However, the flag was taken down after that because authorities knew if one managed to do that, hundreds if not thousands were coming. After that incident actually someone pinpointed out the next flag be set on Warsaw, Poland but at that time no one care about it anymore and ironically Poland was one of Trump's best ally.
I have the greatest respect for Anonymous. As a knuckle dragging baby boomer, I'm in awe of their technical expertise. They really socked it to Scientology. Got to admire that.
Pretty valuable lessons in considering the dangers of opening shit to the public, and why we don't have an actual democracy in the US, because people are insane, but rather vetted electors, because corruption is fun (all electors in the pocket of lobbyists lol)
Impressive how some people still live mentally back a century or more although they weren't even born at that time... If you now even realize that 100 years are about 2 % of the whole known history of modern humans it gets really sad.
Corporate security doesn't directly return profit, so companies are loathe to put money into it. It also provides no feedback. A lack of attacks is not measurable, it's a null quantity.
Maybe make a part 2 with the german (more or less ex-) youtuber Drachenlord (dragon lord) aka Rainer Winkler aka the lard aka the ogre of Altschauerberg aka der Einziche (kind of the "onywon"). He is a pretty simple minded narcissistic and at least questionable person with many shady or dumb ideas who went on full scale "war" against his haters by doxing himself and inviting everybody to his address....and boy oh boy did they come. I'd say both sides in this conflict are quite unforgiving and simple minded and it's all from incredibly funny to tragic at once but it shows very well that feeding trolls doesn't helps. At all.
I remember watching a you tube video during the 'He will not divide us' thing. Someone literally placed a speaker there playing the Kekistani anthem for hours at night before Shia found out. Good times.
I'm a OSINT analyst and i was left speechless but how 4chan dudes just finds where the flag is located, i doubt if even the CIA and NSA has such OSINT capabilities
I am surprised Shia didn't troll them back by setting up a pre-recorded video of the flag from 10 different locations and just playing this as a livestream or something. Or, hell, setting up such a low quality camera that you can't see the stars at night.
While the 9gag thing might seem petty, I can understand why 4chan would take it personally. It sounds like a modern version of the Ebaumsworld incident. Where you've got a community creating and sharing content just for the fun of it. Then this douchebag comes along, takes all of it, slaps his watermark on it and uploads it to his site trying to earn money off it. Of course that's going to annoy the original community.

The flag was hilarious at the time. I think it actually spawned geo-guessing meta stuff too.
osint has been around a lot longer than geoguesser
Been a thing for a long time. That's how people were already good at it
Never, and I mean NEVER, feed the trolls. With that said, I'm going to feed the gremlins.
I had absolutely no idea about the flag story. Absolutely insane. Important lesson....never, ever underestimate the determination of internet trolls 😂
Studies of trolls have found that most are sociopaths or sadists, that generally have noone in their life because they cant build lasting sociol relationships because noone can tolerate them
You can't help but admire the trolls in some way; the tactics they used were actually pretty intelligent.
@@FuryanJedi13 agree 100%. The tactics alone were impressive, but the speed with which they did it every time was insane. Incredibly industrious....and that's just from random people on the internet. Government agencies with all their resources can't get stuff done that quickly 😂
remember Burger King foot lettuce, similar thing.
"He declared war on Anonymous." Oh wow. He should challenge Eminem to a rap battle next.
Hell hath no fury like a nerd with too much free time
Don’t underestimate someone who has already disappointed their entire family, they have nothing left to loose.
😂
@TubularCeaser insane assumptions you've got there lol.
Indeed, friend.
Truth
The Trojan horse @ 24:42 is impressive strategising... convincing them to unknowingly DDOS their own servers is genius really, because it would be difficult in the midst of all that chaos for the 9GAG admins to stop their users from taking revenge on their "attackers." And the longer they distracted 9GAG with the obvious stuff (the bigoted posts, illegal content & DDOSing) the more users could be tricked into blindly spamming their own servers... in theory, 9GAG users could unwittingly keep their own servers offline for far longer than even 4chan expected.
You broke the 'Rule of Three' in, for me, the most satisfying way... You provided extra, fact based content on something fascinating.
Great work as always Kira! I'll let your rule-breaking slide... just this once 🤣
I am in awe of these brilliant minds.
Darksydephil needs to watch this. Although he thinks he doesnt feed em, but talks about them daily. Talking about trolls is a trolls favorite snack.
But thats why trolls are kryptonite for narcissists and sociopaths. They cant help but engage when their house of cards becomes threatened.
Most trolls are narcissists and sociopaths.
@@kirbyjoe7484 Takes one to know one.
Fixing a problem like this would require a degree of self-awareness. This is something that DSP does not have.
as much as I dislike trolling the mentally ill, I have to admit Shia's level of self-righteousness did provided for a tasty troll feed
Man, this was great. I did not know all that about Shia but it sounded like a fun game of cat and mouse, well, maybe not for Shia.
Cat and mouse is rarely fun for the mouse...
"The cancerous louse known as 9gag" fucking sent me.
Even after living through the He Will Not Divide Us saga on 4chan, I still can't get over how far the game went. Random people on the internet have come together to do exceptional things before and since, but that story is the perfect embodiment of how powerful trolling can be.
Reminds me of a meme that compared Twitter, Reddit, and 4chan:
4chan: good people acting like bad people
Reddit: bad people acting like good people
Twitter: bad people acting like bad people
(Replace "bad people" with whatever istaphobe term you can come up with)
especially because it seems like it ended shias career and mental health
I laughed so hard when I hear the words " a flaming drone appeared on the live stream. " I'm like "bruh, what?" 😂
Patrick Tomlinson is the perfect example of don’t feed the trolls
No, stalker child... It is YOU who is the perfect example... Enjoy prison!
I'd not heard of this dude till this comment and for the knowledge of this rabbithole I thank you (^^ゞ
No stalker child, it is you who is feeding the trolls
Wow. That must have really hurt rubbing those two brain cells together. Do you have any other winners for us??
@@ZIM_skol enjoy prison, stalker
i always think Kira is an expert on these subjects then there’s a glaring mispronunciation that i can’t unhear
I laughed like a troll the whole time watching the bit about the flag.
Because it's still funny as hell all these years later.
He Will Not Divide Us, is an iconic piece of internet history
Is 4 chan anonymous? - Some old geezer
I mean basically, but don't think of Anonymous as one solid group. Anonymous is more accurately just a large decentralized community of people who on rare occasions unite towards goals like the examples in this video. There's no structure or hierarchy to Anonymous, just a swarm of pissed off people.
It lets you post as 'Anonymous,' so 4chan + a good VPN is, yes
@@sayLeotardbutsayitChinese you get banned for using VPNs
@@berndbernd3464 you don't really get banned since you don't have an account to begin with. However you can't post on 4chan via VPN due to basically all VPN server IPs being permabanned/blacklisted from posting any content.
@@berndbernd3464 Tell that to the millions of users using them.
While the 9gag DDOS might have been amusing, they didn't do anything close to actually harming 9gag in the long run. 9gag today is worth $40 million dollars.
been using the site for some time and didn't rly see any problems, but now the ukraine war propaganda is fucking the site more than what ever 4 chan tried to do
Almost 500k subs brooo. How does he not have more than this? This channel is actually iconic.
Seriously I enjoy his videos from India subscribed after you told that... Good work kira
1000 is a lot man
It'll happen
He got hacked and had to make a new channel iirc. I never checked in to see if he got the old one back.
Not iconic, just really good. Johnny Cash is iconic, a larger-than-usual RUclips channel is not.
Nah sony not learn his lesson : to fix they damn security like last year they game get leaked again
There is one group that "Fed the trolls" and got away with it.
.
The Gulf Cartel
There was one time when Anonymus declare ware against the Cartel.
Tbh anonymous is mostly just social activist script kiddies who read about the origianal movement
Well of course, cartels have governments on their side.
Plus los zetas was apart of the gulf cartel before they split and they were Mexican special forces trained by Americans and Israelis.
Yeah, Anon is chaotic good, but peaceful.
[redacted] is lawful evil and brutal af.
anon may share gore, cheese pizza [...] - [redacted] are the once producing it.
The sony shutdown pretty much killed socom which was sad
My sister also got hacked from the leak because her info was saved on her ps3. She lost her entire bank account but luckily the bank got her money back. Was very scary at the time
Years later, Aaron Barr ended up meeting Topiary in a hotel bar and they had beers and played Pokémon go.
I would've been happy af in Shia's position. If its an expressive artwork, the idea of bringing hundreds of people together to play this capture the flag game, with the "He will not divide us" tagline no less, should've been perfect.
Never underestimate the power of a collective of people with nothing better to do to outperform any agency at finding something.
Yep and the scariest sentencee in cybersecurityy isRedditt, 4chan and tumbr have teamed up they are a force to behold. ( except Ciccida 3301) and you mentioned it and security agencies now recuit from reddit and tumbr
bro the ways they found those flags absolutely blew my mind. the times it took to find them is absurd
Could have found the cure for
cancer with that amount of effort
Love your videos, man! Always have fresh ideas and great content. Been binging on all that I’ve missed!
So wait, you include the 2nd story that had nothing to do with anonymous but forgot the one in recent years when they exposed a list of over 1000 predators?
Write like I know 4chan and anonymous have this massive connection but anonymous in the modern times does a lot of good trying to get people to stand up for themselves and fight back against corruption and s*** like that The trolling thing with Shia LaBeouf if anything you think they'd go after the museum and didn't they release a bunch of s*** on Donald Trump like his tax documents or some s*** that was up for like a few days before it got taken down
These stories bring me joy. Internet historian did a good video on "He will not divide us"
that's the og upload and authority on this topic
Never do a public project that requires 100% of the public to engage with it in good faith.
Main achievement of "anonymous": They invented Cloudflare's business model.
I love when cnn or other news articles say that so and so actress calls out people online like its some sort of power play. They dont understand that them doing that is exacly what they want and hilariously makes them look stupid
Love how "He will not divide us movement" literally dividing itself from where the message for.
4chan finding those motherfucking flags is absolutely INSANE!!!!!
And also the final flag be tracked down later, idk it was 4chan or not but it was set at Warsaw, Poland.
@@superspies32 oh thanks for the correction friend, I thought it was all 4chans doing lol 🤣🤣🤣
He really said "Nah, I'd win"
The flag story is crazy and also a great testament to what spite can make people do.Spite is the greatest untapped power we all hold.
Hot Damn! A new Kira vid!! Solid work my guy.
Good times. I remember the He Will Not Divide Us as it was happening in real time, it was epic.
unwarranted self importance is a helluva drug lol
I love no matter how many times it happens, when someone hears Anonymous tell warn them "Fuck around and find out..." the first response is to fuck around harder lol
4chan is unstoppable 😹the drone with the fire got me to ROFL
Technically the drone could be a ROLFCOPTER......
Got to admire that.
alternative title: just don't mess with 4chan
Pretty valuable lessons in considering the dangers of opening shit to the public, and why we don't have an actual democracy in the US, because people are insane, but rather vetted electors, because corruption is fun (all electors in the pocket of lobbyists lol)
Japanese really have a hard time conceptualizing how bad of an idea attacking certain targets is 😂
Yep - look how Pearl Harbor turned out for them kek

Corporate security doesn't directly return profit, so companies are loathe to put money into it. It also provides no feedback. A lack of attacks is not measurable, it's a null quantity.
For people claiming Trump won't divide them, they're acting awfully divided.
never underestimate the power of basement dwellers with too much free time on their hands
At all.
It's hilarious when Shia LaBeouf's message was he will not divide us, when what ended up happening was they ended up dividing us
Thorough and entertaining videos as always. Just wanted to share Bradley Manning goes by Chelsea Manning now.
I remember watching a you tube video during the 'He will not divide us' thing. Someone literally placed a speaker there playing the Kekistani anthem for hours at night before Shia found out. Good times.
Forgiveness is the way.
"HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US" is the first TDS/PTSD
imagine if Shia had just put the stream on a slight delay...
Who would win:
A paid professional detective trying to solve a murder case.
Or a 4 chan user with a picture of some snow and a duck?
.....How much you want to bet the 9gag infiltration team is named after the Alpha Legion of 40k? lol exact style
"I am Alpharius" being spammed thousands of times during an attack like that sounds like something that would fan the flames for sure 😂
Ah, the ingenuity of people with too much free time on their hands! Love it.
Brother I got hit with a DreamWorld add in this video. Wtf
The irony was clearly lost of Shia. Screaming he will not divide us at everyone shows just how divided he and people like him are from everyone else.
All the edgy trolls showing up on camera look exactly how you would expect 😂😅
You mean the dorito-chomping, man-diaper wearing, obese incels? AKA *most* hackers? Yeah, looks about right.
Been binge watching your videos after finding the other day; great stuff man. Keep it up 😎
they tried to burn the flag while it was on a building? how the fuck weren't they charged for arson?
And who specifically, by name, should be charged?
really good video. again. always happy when you upload
That drone fuckin sent me, so funny watching it try it's damndest
Damn look at my dude almost at 500k subs congrats man you deserve it!
