Looks like a nice piece of kit. I still have the standard pegs on my XRX, but I did end up adjusting the gear change lever quite a bit from how Lings set it up to fit my size 12s
Good bit of kit and spot. I'll get one myself, I raised the OEM on for standing but it's hellish uncomfortable when sitting through town. This bike needs a quick shifter and shorter hand leavers, these would make a good bike a bloody great bike!
Hi Tony, your ST vids really inspired me- made a lot of similar mods to the ones you did. Thanks for those. Just wondered if you knew where to find an adjustable gear changer like this for a ST?
Thanks, i'm glad they were useful. I haven't seen an adjustable one for the Street Twin, but the Motone one for the Air Cooled Bonnie might work, as from memory I think the mounting spigot is the same? www.motone.co.uk/motorcycle-parts-c26/triumph-bonneville-c25/adjustable-short-shifter-gear-selector-lever-and-peg-black-p1599 I'd need to check though
Hi Tony , Ive just subscribed to your channel as I like your no nonsense reviews etc . As an idea I would love you to do a review of the vizi -tech brake light thing. Any chance as I think this seems a jgood safety device that wont annoy other road users? cheers steve
Tell me about it 🙄 but it’s one of the problems with reviews. People search for the item they want, but then tend not to subscribe, which makes sense. I need to be putting out content which keeps bringing people back
Hi there. Great Video, yet again. I have a 900 GT with OEM Engine Guard on it. My problem is the same as yours with the Adventure boots. I had the dealer adjust the OEM shifter but that didn’t work much as they could only adjust the shifter as much without actually having it touch the engine guard. This approach left very little room for even a normal riding boot to be fit in. I just ordered this SW Motech Unit to overcome the problem (hopefully). By any chance have you come across this situation where despite using this SW unit, the OEM engine guard becomes a problem?
Totally feel you, I got my rally pro yesterday and I have problems shifting comfortably with my alpinestar tech 7 boot. Can you please respond to my comment with update how it worked out for you?
@@daff4377 it worked out well after all. Takes a little getting used to but the shifter (if setup properly) works fine with big boots. I have a Klim Adventure GTX and have been able to use the shifter without any problems.
You should have shown more after how much it makes better fit for your boot. Looks like you had it on max length adjustment from the second or so glimpse at the end. How much is it?
Yep, fair point Alex. Initially it was pretty much at max length, but I’m going to ride it for a bit and see if I want to make any adjustments. The rep is £129, but you can pick them up online from £100 upwards
I’m looking at a knock off version on eBay for $50. I can’t justify paying $200 for something that looks and does exactly the same! How did yours hold up
@@mancavemoto tho I agree sometimes more cost means better quality! Many items get made in the same place but because one company puts their stamp on it doesn’t instantly make it better… for example. Alt rider luggage rack. Runs about $200 but “generic” luggage rack (looks and built identical) runs $40.
Yes, my bad I should have put some measurements in. The standard one from centre to centre is 70mm the adjustable one will extend out to near as dammit 85mm. Doesn’t sound much, but it’s enough

Agreed
Canny Tony , 👍🏻🇬🇧🍺look forward to the next project

Always good to watch any of your vlogs 👍🏻🍺
Cheers Marnie, yep its getting a bit chilly out there
Glad you found something to address your problem Tony. Another water cooled Bonnie I see 😀
Cheers Dave, ha! I’m not clever enough to plan the subliminal message with the backdrop. That was a pure coincidence 😂

Thanks Rachel and welcome. I don’t know much about the vizi-tech, so I’ll have a look at it
Great videos. You should have way more subscribers!

Great vid... but did it solve your problem? It's there enough adjustability to get your off road boot under?
Thanks, yes it did, I kind of assumed people would get that from the video, but in hindsight I should have covered that point specifically

@@gauravjha83 Ok thanks! What a relief :) I gotta go out practice.
So, the retro project. Was that the Bonneville snippet thrown in there, Speed Twin or Bobber?
Who says it going to be a triumph? 😉🤔

Is it longer ? lenghth comparison would be nice..
Yep that’s the one key thing I forgot in the video, it’s slightly longer yes.

It held up very well indeed, its high quality engineering and materials. Remember the old adage "buy cheap, buy twice" ;)

cool video! I love the quality of SW-Motech. Also, I have already made a video for a bag holder of this brand.
Of course I liked and subscribed ;-)
Thanks, I have also subscribed to your channel. Great Stuff
Do you reckon it’ll fit to 2019 Tiger 800 XCa? Hoping it does so as to utilize your how to video. 👍🏼
Yes, mine is a 2018 xca
Hi Tony
Are these adjustable shifters available for BMW R1200GS LC 2014 model?
yes they are www.sw-motech-shop.co.uk/Gear-lever-BMW-R1200GS-LC-Adv-12-R1250GS-Adv-18-.
When you compared the two towards the end it didn't actually look any longer than the standard length??

Hi Tony,
Will this shifter fit a 2018 Tiger 800 XRT?
Pat Rochford yes, should do, it’s the same stock shifter
How much more length does it provide?
Not much, about an inch. But I’ve been reliably informed that it can make all the difference 😉😂
Will it fit the Tiger 660?
Not sure this one will, but they do make one specifically for the Tiger 660
