Never in my life have I seen two young parents enjoy their baby and being parents. I love you both for that. You’re teaching a very valuable lesson to parents of all ages. Jack is adorable and the two of you are fantastic. Don’t ever lose that love or the fun and laughter you all have. Life is too short to lose it once you have it. I’ll stop being a mom now and just say this is one of my favorite channels. Love and prayers to the 3 of you!!!!

I’ve got to back you up on this!! I’m 43, never had kids, and it offended ME! I had to read her first sentence again because I thought surely I read it wrong?? *She said she’s never seen a young couple with kids who was also happy and who also enjoyed their baby-that means all the young parents she’s ever known have been unhappy and I guess resented their babies?* 😦🤔 It was really nice what she said about Sarah & Derik, but wow, what an extremely negative blanket statement to make about young parents! 😟
BTW, *you* didn’t make the comment about you, *she* made the comment about you-and every young parent out there.
I mistakenly thought she was so nice at first acting happy for you, and then I kept reading and was just as shocked by her response to you as I was by her first sentence. 🤯 Actually, *disgusted* is a better word. To start out pretending to be nice and then end with a stab-it’s one of the most evil & conniving feeling responses I’ve ever come across on RUclips. 🤢
{Edit: I realize now (after someone below admonished me for this comment) why it felt so evil to me-she was using a form of gaslighting on Megan. Gaslighting is the *opposite* of showing love to someone, and it has evil intentions. For any who don’t know what gaslighting means, please look it up and don’t ever let anyone get close to you who uses these tactics. I realize my words in this comment are strong, and I was hesitant to say them, but I felt they needed to be said and still do. That comment to Megan is not how any of us should be treating each other}.
I think it really “is” wonderful that you’re a young parent! There are pluses and cons to everything, and there are a TON of pluses to having kids young! Many would argue it’s “better” to have kids young!! Ignore the naysayers! 💖

This actually happened to us. I had our daughter and then after the six weeks I started taking the pills as a form of protection. Well I have a history of blood clots, so I had to be checked every couple of weeks to make sure my clotting levels were ok. So after a couple weeks my levels came back to high and I had to stop taking the pills immediately. So not only am I very fertile from just giving birth, but also now I had just stopped the pills. Well we were being careful, but it doesn't always work. Three months after giving birth I was pregnant again. I felt like I had been pregnant for two years. Our daughters are 11 1/2 months apart, for 2 weeks they are the same age. Our youngest also came a month early so that's why they are less than a month apart. My postpartum after the second one was horrible. Everyone said it's like you have twins and I guess when it cames to taking care of them, yes that's true, but not for the mom part. At least with twins you are only pregnant for 40 weeks, with this I was pregnant for almost 2 years. Like I said the postpartum was horrible and physically it took me months and months to get back to myself. I would have never made it without my husband. It was hard, but we made it, they are now 18 and 19 and both have graduated, are working and have just moved out on their own. Life can really surprise you sometimes.💜
Same thing happened to me except I had to start taking antibiotics while on the pill. And they don’t tell you that the pill doesn’t work with antibiotics. My two youngest are 51 weeks apart and they are the same age for a week.
@@shellipiersant2373 considering taking antibiotics on the pill is one of the main reasons female get pregnant while using protection, you would expect doctors to really push that point, but you are right they don't tell you or at least most don't. I made sure to tell my two and any other's I know that have started taking the pill.😬

My 2 youngest grandsons are 1 year apart in age; both in born in March. Funny story: my best friend had seen Jayden when he was born before my daughter moved to another state. Another year later....while she was home visiting, I took Chaisen by his house for an introduction. The whole visit, he kept half smiling and looking like he almost wanted to cry between the conversation. So, final I was ready to take the baby back to his mom and he asks me " Why didn't you tell me something was wrong with the baby?" I didn't catch on to what he meant rght away. I asked him what baby he was talking about. He says " your grandson; he should be about a year old now but he hasn't grown all". I fell out laughing! I hadn't thought to tell him that my daughter had had another baby since he last saw the other one and the boys looked like twins until they were about 9 and 10 years so...we had to explain why often for a few years! Oh btw...she had been taking antibiotics and on the pill when she got pregnant the last time. We learned AFTER THE FACT.....that antibiotics will cancel the effectiveness of the hormones in the pill. Be warned!
My youngest two children are Irish Twins ♊ they were born exactly one year apart to the day! He was born on her 1st Birthday 🥳 I was on the pill and only stopped taking it when I found out that I was pregnant. I was honestly shocked! But we figured that it was meant to be.

I got pregnant with my second when my first was nine months old! It was hard in the beginning but as they grew it was easier and they are best friends. Always someone to play with. Then I thought I was done. Little did I know my youngest who was 7 years old said she had been praying every night for a baby brother. For 5 years prior I had this weird thought pop into my head always while in the shower.... 41/Boy. In my 40th year my husband and I had a surprise pregnancy .....a little boy at the age of 41!!! Oh and he was 11 lbs!!! Had him all natural on my deck in a baby pool! Such a blessing!

Ps... 4 years apart when you have children is THE BEST but don’t take my word for it... look it up! Something magical about that age gap between siblings that causes them to get along SO WELL and they will be VERY caring of one another and stay close from beginning to end...

So cute Jack is an teething on mommy's knees hehehe My kids teethed on my chin off n on ,the special hard teething cookies didn't work . The only thing that would work was a chicken leg I took the meat off everything an my kids loved it. They would teeth two teeth at a time . You guys are such a cute family. Thanks for sharing

I just discovered your channel yesterday and am so glad I did! Baby Jack is is just the cutest. His eyes are so expressive! You two are wonderful parents and it's a joy to watch your uploads. My daughters are grown and two of my grandchildren are in college. The other is 4 years old. Seems only yesterday that he was as small as Jack. They few so quickly but it's plain to see how much you enjoy and cherish your little man.

I have a friend who had baby #1 the 2nd week of May, and baby #2 the 1st week of May the following year.
Baby #2 was at her big sister's (baby #1) 1st birthday! Yep, they are 1 year minus 1 week apart!

I was 18 years old and had an IUD for birth control. It is NOT the most reliable method, as I learned, because I, too, became pregnant. I could not believe it! It really happens! I don't have a baby or any kids for that matter but I'm engaged to be married next year and earlier this year I was worried I might be pregnant. I didn't tell my fiance because I didn't want to freak him out and cause him to worry unnessesarily but girl, I had ALL of the symptoms! I had just come off birth control and read that it's very easy to get pregnant after coming off it, some women get pregnant right away within the first month so with all my symptoms, constant nausea (which is not normal for me at all) sore boobs, tired and cranky, and finally the late..VERY late period. It was a MONTH late! Thank God this was just from coming off of birth control but here's the kicker..along with the timing lining up, I took 2 tests that came back inconclusive..basiclly didn't work ar all, the 3rd test was positive (or so I thought!!) I read it wrong like an idiot and rushed over to my fiance's to tell him I was pregnant. First thing he asks me is "did you read the instructions?" I say no..I know what a positive pregnancy test looks like! Sure enough it was negative and I was SO relieved and also felt so stupid for somehow reading it wrong!! I read the + sign as a positive but that was the indicator that the test was working! Whew! This test and most tests also turn pink at the tip after you pee on them to show it worked so I assumed that was the indicator and the + meant positive. I didn't think any + sign would show up if it was negative! I was very anxious and hormonal at this time okay, so show me some grace!🤣🤣 Now I always read the darn instructions or just get the digital kind that literally says pregnant or not pregnant! Can't mess up with that (on my end anyways) could always be a false negative/positive. I can't even imagine thinking you could be pregnant with a 3 month old! So happy you weren't and you can plan out when you want your 2nd! Also for next time, if the condom ever breaks just get Plan B! Better safe than sorry!!❤ Love you guys! You always make me smile and bring joy and light to my day! Your family is so beautiful and wholesome! Thanks for sharing your lives with us!! Do more vlogs! So fun to watch!
At my 8-week postpartum checkup I was told to make a prenatal appointment as I was pregnant again. My uterus hadn't gone down to where it should have been at that point and so they did an ultrasound - my girls are 10 months and 3 weeks apart. It wasn't easy but I lived through it! lol

I Literally didn't know I was pregnant till I was 5 1/2 months. Had my period for the first 3 months of it.
Yes.. my first son & daughter are 13 months apart to the day (Feb.9-Mar9).. it was like having twins, but... my son was so independent & protective of his baby sister. He would actually help me by getting a diaper for me or her bottle from diaper bag. He was my little helper. They grew up as best friends. I don’t regret it for one moment & would do again. Hubby helped a lot when he was home.. Jack spent lots of time with him doing guy stuff. Lol .. although our daughter when she was old enough did too. It’s All Good.. GOD Bless ♥️ ( hubby & son are “Jack”♥️)😆👍🏼
We had our 3 kids in 3 years and 2 months...not on purpose. Oldest is 5 right now. Still living in a 700 ft house. Not going to lie things get crazy and sometimes I wonder if we should have space them out more but when I really get to thinking about it I feel like it's the best thing because when you go through things like two kids in diapers or two kids teething it's a lot but it gets over with all at once or close together instead of doing it and then doing it again 5 years later or something like that. So it sounds terrifying trust me I totally get that, but pretty awesome too.

My mom had me and twenty three months later....twin boys!!! Three kids two and under...she said I'd run one way and when they could each twin run opposite ways..sometimes shed cry chasing us..but when she caught us she couldn't help laughing!!!
My sister in-law went back to her doctor for her six week checkup after the birth of her first baby and found out she was pregnant again so her first baby was just nine months old when she had her second. She ended up having five girls in the end but after the second girl she made sure there was two years before she even got pregnant with her third. I think she put a furniture clamp on her husband.

My cousin couldn't get pregnant for 5 years after her 1st (using zero birth control.) She finally had another one and figured since it took 5 years before, she was good. Ooops. Baby 3 born on same day next year. Went from 1 kid to 3 in a 2BR home and had to get a add-on built to the house. Baby 4 came 18 months later (on the pill). It was shocking. We got her "spayed".😁

So I was diagnosed with Endometriosis in 2015 and suffered 2 miscarriages. Ive been in a long distance relationship for about two years and we were never really responsible with contraception because I was convinced it just wasn’t Gods plan for me. We wanted a family at some point but thought we would have to do IVF or adopt.
Meanwhile I move out to him and we are trying to buy a house when my little brother calls and needs a complete foot reconstruction so I fly out to my moms to stay with my brother while he is healing from surgery.
My Fiancée flew out to visit for Fourth of July weekend/ his birthday weekend after about 5 months of separation. It was a complete surprise I had no idea he was coming! I was so happy to see him I started crying when I saw him standing on the porch!! 😍
Fast forward a couple weeks and I miss my period. Cue the tender breast and morning sickness.. I tried to ignore it thinking my period would come, but it didn’t and sure enough I got my big fat positive earlier this week 😅🙈 👣 🍼

My nephew and his wife had their 3rd child and she got her tubes tied.... The tubal failed and they now have 4 kids (2 boys 2 girls)
Another even freakier story happened to my cousin they had their 3rd girl got her tubes tied failed girl #4 born, he got snipped girl #5 born. sometimes there is just another plan for us out there.

I had my period for the first 3 months of my first pregnancy.
We had our daughter in early Nov. By Easter I was feeling so sluggish and nauseated. We thought that losing sleep was just catching up with me. Our daughter was 5 months old. When I went to see the doctor, he told me that my cervix was soft. Not sure but we may be pregnant. We were like how can that be ?
So sure enough we were pregnant for the second time. Our daughters are 14 months apart. It was easier than I thought it would be. God blessed us with a very easy go lucky baby. She slept through the night. She constantly smiled and babble all the time. The girls grew up as best friends. It was like twins. They even looked alike. So God took a mishap and made a wonderful blessing out of it!!! I don’t think

My husband and I have two boys that are 13 months apart. Yes, it was a lot of work and I had postpartum depression with both boys, however it truly was a blessing to have them so close together. They are 15 and 14 years old now and have a wonderful relationship as siblings. Don’t be scared, you both will experience so much love as your family grows. Keep being awesome.

@@SarahAndDerik My Girls are 6 years apart - I enjoyed them BOTH as babies without any distractions or forcing the older to grow up too fast. They are 30 and 36 and are close and have always been! Don't rush it! Enjoy Jack through his baby/toddler years when he needs (& deserves) all your attention!

The weirdest thing about my pregnancy was that the only thing I craved was salad. I wanted salad every time I ate.
I had a difficult time getting pregnant with my daughter, but when she was 5 months old I miraculously became pregnant again. My kids grew up as best friends and still are as adults. Oh, and my sister and I are 10 months apart! We were born January and December of the same year! We were in the same grade all throughout school! It was great! My mom said she cried at first, but it was the greatest blessing in the end... and that is exactly how I felt with mine!!! If Sarah is pregnant, you WILL get through and and feel doubly blessed! Blesdings on you both for whenever it does happen!

My sister and I are a year and two weeks apart exactly so we’re Irish twins (her bday is March 5th and mine is March 19th) and as I’ve gotten older, I have no idea how my parents did it. It does turn out okay though because she’s my best friend and my parents made it through and we’re both graduating college soon so it works out in the end!!

I was one of those crazy stories & have Irish Twin. Doctor after my 1st told me that breastfeeding is a natural contraceptive, at my 6wk post check up. My husband was stoked. Yeah.... my 1st 2 are 10.5mons apart to the day. I honestly don't remember much of either of their 1st 2yrs of their lives. It literally almost killed me bcz they had back to back schedules & I never had time to eat & almost no sleep. My family doc told me it's a miracle I'm alive. I was 5'10" 140ish lbs. By the time my 2nd was 8mons old. I was 5'8" 119lbs. I was skin pulled over bones, it was disgusting. I think my husband had a mini heart attack when the doc said that. For the next month he was practically stuffing food done my throat. Lol! That was 21yrs ago, so obviously I survived. Now it's a family joke to tell new friends during that month & half they are the same age, that they aren't twins & just watch the confusion in their face for a min. Muhaaa... 😈😜🤣

Wow what a stressful experience! I have never had a baby that close, and I understand that must have been very scary and unsettling. I am pregnant with my 4th and this pregnancy happened WITH protection 😬! Gods plans superseded mine, and that’s for sure!!! All my kids are 2.5 years apart exactly. Because of covid lockdowns stress and homeschooling I had made the choice to push our plan to have our 4th a whole year and break the 2.5 pattern we had going. We were preventing, and somehow I became pregnant!!! 🤯 The absolutely wild part is...this baby will be exactly 2.5 years apart from their sibling which is mind blowing to me. I couldn’t be faithful to the pattern I had always wanted to keep, so God made it happen for me. I cried for 2 days, but soon became overwhelmed with gratitude and joy for this little life I didn’t plan. Bless you two! Baby or no baby, if you trust and obey the Lord .. you will be blessed, planted &rooted. Jeremiah 17:7-8.
When my daughter was 8 months old we had just started discussing when we wanted to have our last child and how far apart we wanted them to be. Within two weeks we found out I was pregnant with my son. They are 17 months apart and they are very close. My oldest is 4 years older than the middle one. I actually preferred the 17 months difference over the 4 years.
I just gave similar advice. Our first 2 are 4.5 years apart, and the last 2 are 14 months apart. The 14 months apart has been way easier on us so far.
I’m so happy to see others have had and enjoyed having children very close together. I’ll never forget when I told my grandmother our second child was coming she burst out crying. She had two sets of children and both sets were very close together. She loved our children of course, she was just concerned on how difficult it was to 1) raise two babies very close in age and 2) the toll it takes on the women’s bodies since they haven’t had a full recovery from the first pregnancy and birth.

After I had my first and only son I found out my husband had been having an affair. I was so so hurt and I needed to buy myself time to figure out what to do. Thr idea of the courts making me let him have visitation and send my new baby to be with him AND the woman he cheated with was more than I thought I would be able to bare without losing my mind and doing who knows what. I just knew this woman would never ever ever come near my child. I decided to stay married. For a while. It was horrible all around but to make sure I didn't have any more babies with him I got a copper non hormonal IUD. They are recommended for women who have already had at least 1 child. It worked perfectly. No hormones to make you feel pregnant and mess with your system and no pain with the IUD and they can last over 10 years

The thing is you can get pregnant when your nursing; you can even be pregnant and have a period. This happened to friends of mine. One only found out when she was five months. So the best thing to do is let the doctor confirm. It's in June that I'm responding, and this was uploaded in April, so by now you'll know...or maybe not. LOLOL
The first reaction jack had to the camera and then once Sara got him. The reaction on both of y’all’s faces plus jacks. I had to rewatch 5o times and laughed every time bc of everyone’s facial expressions. But I don’t think he’s afraid of it. Since he didn’t cry. I think he just wanted it. Unless of course he cried off camera. But since he sees y’all talk to it, maybe just curious. But i love watching y’all and the love y’all have for each other and the baby. When my first daughter was about 18 months old, I got pregnant with my second daughter. Not expecting it or planning for it I got a little wigged out, and my mother was there and she said, If you're gonna have another one, why not have them close and be done? And it settled it. Such a joy!!

Someone from my hometown was pregnant and didn't know until she was in labor at 9 MONTHS!!! She was naturally a smaller sized girl and had no bump at all and if you saw her you wouldn't think anything. I think she was on the birth control pill and would skip her period so she never would've realized that she missed a period. At full term, she had really bad cramps and wasn't feeling right so she went to the emergency room, and they were like you know you're pregnant right and she was like no I'm not! Turns out she was in labor and gave birth a few hours later to a healthy girl! I'm still confused about how she didn't feel the baby at all?!

I miscarried on March 28th 2019..extremely devastating. We did not know I was pregnant, until I was almost at the end of 5 months being pregnant with our baby girl! She was born healthy January 12th 2020! BLESSING! 😇
It happen to me, my son was 6 months old and I was on birth control and still got pregnant with my second child. I got my tube typed after that so nothing like that can happen again.

I thought I'd share with you a story about a couple from my ward and their babies. I was in high school, and was a Laurel in Young Women. She nearing the end I think. There was a young man that was raised without a father, so my step dad was assigned at his home teaching companion over the course of many years. We got to know him a little , and he ended up serving a mission. I don't remember if he met his wife while serving, but I do know that she wasn't from around Oregon or Washington (where I'm from). She talked kind of funny, like they do in Texas.
Well, they got married and got pregnant right away. Their first was a boy and he was so beautiful! A couple of months after he was born, she got pregnant again. The 2nd baby was born. Then not too much time later, she got pregnant again. I think they had 5 babies in roughly 4 years. Incredible, isn't it? I don't know much about how large their family became or where they live now, but I definitely will never forget them.
I lost 2 babies in between my 2 boys. Be careful what you wish for as the alternative you would have had another beautiful baby gorgeous blue eyes. You’re both young and besides babies do not take up much room.! I’d say go for the Irish twins
I had ovarian cancer at 9 years old and was told I couldn’t have kids after I lost my right ovary and tube. Fast forward years and years and I missed my period, took multiple tests and blood tests at the doctor and they all came back negative. They continued to come back negative until 16 weeks when I finally had an ultrasound and holy baby, there she was. Had my beautiful daughter and when she was 6 months old, I got pregnant with my son. They are 15 months apart. The best of friends and I wouldn’t change it for the world, but it was one of the scariest times in my life.

I got two cysts while I had my IUD & we thought I was pregnant both times because it gives almost the exact same symptoms!! That could be part of your "implantation cramps" because I thought the same thing, also got nausea and took 3 hr naps all the time. At this point I'm letting all of my kids be surprises because I feel like it's inevitable lolol

My daysy (fertility tracker/birth control ) told me I was pregnant and I had the worst panic attack of my life 😳 then I took two pregnancy tests and they were negative.... so SCARY
I got poly cystic ovary disease after my first baby. My periods stopped and I had to finally go on fertility drugs to get pregnant 5 yr later. After her I didn't have a period for 3 yr. I prayed for healing that time and got pregnant finally and had our son. At the time I thought oh what a great contraceptive method! But now I wish I would have had more babies. There is a lot of infertility now a days, I say, if you want to have a family don't be afraid. Have them while you can, the earlier and younger you are the better.
