This is a fun job to watch! Big-time scraper action like this never fails to entertain. Those guys are moving tons of dirt. I wonder what the hourly load count is; the pushcats don't get a break. It's scraper after scraper on this job. Guess I'll have to go to SoCal to see this kind of action like this first-hand! Thanks for posting; you always do excellent videos!
Reasonably easy to work out, 2 scrapers pushed per minute off a single tractor, use a 45 minute hour for multiplication so 45 x 2 = 90 per hour off each tractor, 2 tractors so 180 per hour. 10 hour day with 180/hr = 1800 loads per day, lets say they were at 30 yards per load they are moving in excess of 50,000 yards per day.
Got 2/3's way thru and had to stop for a break.Used to operate 475's back in the 70's on production but never this full on.Hope those guys are on top rates.

Are big companies like this super strict about not moving or giving a machine throttle before it’s properly warmed up.?… also can anyone tell me how long they let them idle before shutting them down at the end of the day?
This project is creating retail commercial space... which requires flat ground. The borrow hill is right next to the desired flat ground. You can see that the hill is shaped such that it's practically un-sellable. So, it's no wonder it's under attack.

The water is for compaction. You cannot achieve proper compaction if the dirt is too dry or to wet. We have strict standards here in California.
