"So as you can see, our 3rd Quarter projections are u--hey, can I put you on hold for a minute? There's a passing group of musicians playing Gloria Gaynor's hit single, 'I will Survive', and they clearly don't have a melodica player. Be back in 2 minutes, 48 seconds. Thanks."
Lead trumpet plays in such a way that whenever I hear him, I feel as if he has so much control over the instrument. Like, complete control. It is really awesome to see, his tone complements his playing style so well.
One of a very few times Leo doesn’t dance around, just walks the beat with the rest. Awesome arrangement and great they brought in most of the Lucky Chops guys.
You guys need to learn the use of unironically, sure here it does make SOME sense, but it is REALLY overused these days. The sentence makes as much if not more sense without that word.
Fan - Tas - Tik! Doc Severinsen & his band would love this, as it carries on in the tradition of their best performances, including his colorful jacket! The solos were all great and the space left for the melodica solo was generous. Adding the Lucky Chops rounds out the sound in and makes it overall more musical. But what do I know, I just turned 72 a few days ago! Also kudos to Dan Shein, the camera guy, great job of live, continuous field production and self-direction.
Props to the audio director or whoever has the idea to use the marching band to fade out the music by walking away. The ending audio was perfect that way. 👌
Why, oh why, is the King of Sludge hiding out in back of the other fellas? He is so damn talented and amazing! He's so chill and low key...no fame necessary for that gentleman, just playing his heart out. I see you Sludge and I love your passion!
I've always wondered that, myself. Then I'm reminded that he plays with brass, & being in front of that can be like a cone-shaped blast wave at head level. I wouldn't be surprised if he was at least a bit on the spectrum, & as such might not like getting his ears blown out.
This is the best version of I Will Survive I've ever heard in my life! (Purely my personal opinion, to me your interpretation beats the original!!) I love that you've collaborated with so many UHMAZING Musician's as they all add so much depth to the track making it true & original to your sound (I know what I'm trying to say, I hope it makes sense to anyone reading this!! 🤔🤯) This is the song I didn't know I needed to hear today, so thank you all! Stay happy, stay safe & have a great weekend!! x 😀🙏❤️🎶🎷🎺🎼🔥
5 день подряд смотрю это видео, и каждый раз как в первый. Реально очень крутое исполнение песни I will survive.
That was just amazing, funny thing is most of these bands or collaborations, in my opinion, are just miles better than most of the pop music produced today, just amazing stuff loved every minute and top playing from all.
It still got the substance of the street music (with people smiling and surprised), that makes the swing of Too Many Zooz. Really as good as Gloria Gaynor, they're a pillar of the half twenty-first century music!
You can NEVER have too many zooz. I ran into them playing on the subway platform many years ago. I sat there and let a few trains go by while I listened.
this collaboration with lucky choops is really cool, but it's impressive how accurately each note is touched by matt and leo .... grandi too many zooz 💯 🤟
I feel like it's the ironic beauty of the East Coast that there are people like you who want to put out this incredible spastic art, and there are so few people who want to receive it on the street. Such a funny combo lol. You guys rock
I don't listen to a lot of brass artists, if any really, but even so, I feel safe to say without any doubt in my mind that Matt Muirhead is a shining talent among trompeters, it just naturally seems to be the case.
That's exactly what I'm talking about. Have some real fun playing the R &B classics and the audience will follow you anywhere Playing Jazz is great, but ya can go broke playing it for a living. I spent 27 years with a Jazz septet doing weekend shows in the West village of Manhattan NY and I just retired because of the COVID and the violence in the City. Great performance and phenomenal ensemble "Ra'sheed and The Washington Park Jazz Collective All-stars"❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺
This answer the age old question of whether it's possible to have too many trombones: nope. I wish I could walk down my street and randomly see this. Fantastic.
Love you guys (Zooz and Chops). Keep up the covers! If you guys can find a way to make them in your own style id love to hear. Up On 110th Street - Bobby Womack, Or Soulful Strut Young - Holt Unlimited.

It’s weird that this only has three likes for such a detailed comment
Gold.
Awesome. Love to see the Lucky Chops guys on this one.
Awesome
But its just one on trombone

@@DiamondDisguise nope
@@ilcothe.sax.man1.096 Yeah Josh Gawel, the trumpeter from Lucky Chops, is also in this video. It's in the description

doesnt miss a beat, his accuracy is insane
His name was Robert Paulson
I also love how focused his tone is throughout the whole range. Especially his relatively low notes have such an amazing sound.
@@Ucofatoffski I hope you’re saying that he just changed his name, but probably not. What a shame!
Matt is my hero
Was waiting for the melodica solo ❤️ He can't compete on decibels, but he grooves just as hard as the brass.
3:24 for his highlight!

When Too Many Zooz cover shit its Amazing. Even more so when Josh rams in with the trombone. What a song guys! Wow!
Wish there was sheet music to this. I'd bang this in a recording Session seriously! Thanks for the love Too Many Zooz!
Easy on Gloria Gaynor still !
One of a very few times Leo doesn’t dance around, just walks the beat with the rest. Awesome arrangement and great they brought in most of the Lucky Chops guys.

Think he just means he wants the song cuz he actually likes it, not just because it would be funny. Though yeah unironically is used way too much.

Need to find a quiet street for that! OMG!
Matt's playing is so expressive, love TMZ
Love the 2nd line vibe. Can never have too many horns.
Same the walking to the playstyle was giving big NOLA vibes
it is amazing how much a trombone adds to the band. If you have more regular trombone players be featured in too many zoos, then it will be so good.
I love the whole group getting quiet to let the melodica guy jam out for a sec.
I love what both TMZ and Lucky Chops are doing. Absolutely fantastic!

Let these guys be the band to your home concert:
At first I was afraid, I was petrified
Kept thinking I could never live without you by my side
But then I spent so many nights thinking how you did me wrong
And I grew strong
And I learned how to get along
And so you're back
From outer space
I just walked in to find you here with that sad look upon your face
I should have changed that stupid lock, I should have made you leave your key
If I'd known for just one second you'd be back to bother me
Go on now, go, walk out the door
Just turn around now
'Cause you're not welcome anymore
Weren't you the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye?
You think I'd crumble?
You think I'd lay down and die?
Oh no, not I, I will survive
Oh, as long as I know how to love, I know I'll stay alive
I've got all my life to live
And I've got all my love to give and I'll survive
I will survive, hey, hey
It took all the strength I had not to fall apart
Kept trying hard to mend the pieces of my broken heart
And I spent oh-so many nights just feeling sorry for myself
I used to cry
But now I hold my head up high and you see me
Somebody new
I'm not that chained-up little person still in love with you
And so you felt like dropping in and just expect me to be free
Well, now I'm saving all my lovin' for someone who's loving me
Go on now, go, walk out the door
Just turn around now
'Cause you're not welcome anymore
Weren't you the one who tried to break me with goodbye?
You think I'd crumble?
You think I'd lay down and die?
Oh no, not I, I will survive
Oh, as long as I know how to love, I know I'll stay alive
I've got all my life to live
And I've got all my love to give and I'll survive
I will survive
