I just simply hate this arrogant aproach "senior designers" have with Canva tools. They first assume that there's a limitation and then "ops, it's actually possible" and then again realise the limitation is their knowledge and willness, without even considering all posibilities that made the platform so popular. Feels like they think Canva is a toy for children just because it's easier to use than OLDER devolopment tools such as WordPress - wich is a pain in the *** to learn and create. Open your mind, fellow designers, tools are supposed to be used when it's needed and suitable not to fulfill your ego and status. Explore more and judge less.
Exactly. Specifically for a student like me who is always interested in learning design but the design softwares are so expensive. I mean the so called standard softwares are so expensive. But canva is free which is great. I love canva.

Probably a bit of fear that non-designers can now create a landing page and their service will be redundant. I am so frustrated with other tools, because they assume you had some sort of training. All of those tools are really not non-professional friendly. With Canva I have created some neat landing page. Also; these templates were created by designers so really no need for people to look down on Canva.
i know professionals shit on canva a lot, but as as a student who has to make lots of pitch decks all the time, the variety of nice looking templates and the high quality free stock images you get access to with the membership has come in handy so many times! i’m not a web or graphic designer but i like learning about it. i think canva is a lot easier to figure out for a beginner than figma tbh
What I love about Canva over other web builders (esp "landing page builders") is that you can drag and drop elements, and place things *exactly* where you want them to go, no more playing with margins, columns, elements, all that time consuming nonsense!

You missed something. When you click to preview the website as a mobile device at the top left there is a selected button that says “resize on mobile”. If you click to deselect it it will work and your text and images will not be moved to fit the screen. It works! You have to do your research! If anyone tries this out please comment and let me know how it goes.
Did this on a site I created today. Selecting the resize on mobile button works ish. It will resize the site but it’s not mobile responsive. It just scales the images to fit the mobile. Everything stays put but it does get smaller. Overall, I don’t mind it so much. I don’t have to pay for a website. I can just design inside canva.
