- We head out to my evil twin's range to put 3 popular rimfires against each other. The wind was a huge factor and the targets were extremely small. We shot two KYL target racks out at 150 yards with random positional positions. This was crazy hard.

Kinda crazy the least costly rifle the T1X, had the zero FTF and FTE issues. I could never afford a Vudoo and would own several CZ 457 varriants but I can never find the ones I want in stock available for sale. So I currently shoot a stock T1X and stock B14R steel. Praying to get my hands on a new CZ 457 Precision cassis MTR in 2023

The tikka and cz's are stellar rifles for sure. The most reliable ive ever shot. I appreciate you watching and commenting
Impressive shooting. That said, if you really want to compare the rifles for their "base" performance, it would be interesting to see you shoot them for bullseye with 4 shot groups on paper at 50, 100 & 150 on a bench rest so that the pure rifle performance is measured (rather than the shooter's skills -- and your skills are quite impressive!).
Thanks David. Unfortunately the ammo plays a huge part in the overall accuracy. With two solid rifles its almost a lot testing comparison

That was awesome guys, that Tikka does not appear to be sighted in. I really like the Tikka in a a nice prs chassis, but I think the CZ is the winner hands down, for the price and so easy to get parts for, CZ 457 is the clear winner for me.
Outstanding challenge guys. I would like to see a rematch without the wind for a more accurate test. However you and your CZ is 3-0 !!!

Awesome fun , .22 + Wind = 0 , it’s great to see mates enjoying themselves shooting , we have been in full lockdown now for 8 weeks , we can’t have any visitors or leave the property every range is closed not that I could go there anyway , l haven’t fired a single round in that time and it’s killing me it looks like we will be locked up fo at least another month , Thanks for your videos Josh without you guys and the RUclips shooting channels I would have gone crazier than I have , keep em coming Mate , Steve from Aussie .

Hey, this is off the topic of this video, but I wanted to tell about an experiment I’m conducting. I have 10k rounds of Wolf Match Extra from the same lot. I pulled my barrel out and removed the shims. Placed the barrel back in the action. I loaded a spent cartridge from my lot. I took a feeler gauge and measured the gap between the action and the shoulder on the barrel, I replaced the shims minus.001”. It shoots better groups. My guess is that I’m at .037-.038 on my headspace now. It really doesn’t like Remington or Lapua now. Doesn’t matter, I’ll just shoot the Wolf until I’m out. You know how long it takes to change headspace. It’s not permanent. If this works the rifle could be optimized for any lot of ammo. Later
@@jimmccaffery410 I do the same thing. I lot test and see what is shooting the best, order it, then adjust headspace to get it better if i can.
I would only suggest it to people with adjustable headspace barrels as i would hate for someone to damage their rifle shimming a bolt.

@@PursuitofAccuracy I have a Lilja barrel also. I paid $50 to have the barrel threaded when I bought it. I put a muzzle brake on it. That eliminated the flyers. I think it was a coincidence that I ended up with a brake that worked. The next thing is to check that the front of the action is flat and square to the barrel so the shims are mated to both the barrel and action, not just on a high spot.
That sure looked like a lot of fun there folks. All i have is a 100yd range at home. Gets pretty boring driving bullseyes all day long. Great video, love the stuff you guys are doing.

I mostly use it for paper target with SK trainer ammo at 100 yards but its partridge season here in NB 🇨🇦 and that little rifle is truly amazing!

My T1x has been an excellent rifle . In standard stock I able to easily keep up with other like vudoo Anshutz &CZ . It the perfect starter rifle for anyone Elley CLUB AND TARGET ammo is the sweet spot for them .
The tikka is a nice rifle. The ammo preference wont be the same across every t1x but they do seem to shoot a wide variety of match ammo well
On your Timney trigger was the 5oz as light as you could safely go or could you have went lighter?
Maybe a touch lighter. I went to what was bump safe and added another little turn

I enjoyed that very much. It also shows how difficult shooting is when you aren"t stationary with unlimited time. It is nice to see you guys are human. Are the tikka's an equal rifle to say CZ or anschutz? Are they a tier below? I have a 457 Jaguar...and lining up my next purchase...plenty saved so cost really isn't a factor...i like wood stocks...non sporter...

Is the CZ 457 a much improved model to the CZ 452, I bought my 452 ultra lux back in the 90’s and haven’t kept up with the changes
The 452 is probably the most accurate out of the box CZ rimfire ever made.
But the aftermarket for the 457 is huge and the 457's have been great.
Action is slightly shorter, push to fire safety, lots of good barrel options

I have not reviewed a 452 but they are very well k own for being very accurate rifles. It would hold its own easily

Very interested to hear more about the Tika. Ive got one of the very first ones imported into the US. I had to wait 13 months for it. Done nothing more that add a scope.

You should do some 50 yard testing with the two other guns that were on the channel today. That be interesting to see how they stack up against your gun.

You get tired of me saying it I'm sure but you would love field target. It's much the same but limited to 55 yards and with air rifles. You guys would fit right in.

Yeah that would have helped. The ones i typically use are much tighter and dont do that. These were already on the range.

The tikka guy, grant, has experience and is a good shooter. He got the worst positions and the worst of the wind to be honest. The wind was crazy bad and shooting at those distances off of barricades etc i dont know many that could have done very well

I’m a big cz fan but I won a Vudoo last year for winning 🥇 our rimfire league. I’m putting it threw it’s paces now and hopefully have it ready for next season

@@PursuitofAccuracy I have a cz 527 in .223, MDT chassis set up exactly like my 457 just for that reason so when I grab the .223 everything is the same and with all the .22 I shoot it makes the larger caliber easy

@@PursuitofAccuracy absolutely love it, I found she likes federal match 69 grain sierra gold medal the best but the Hornady 73 grain eld is a close second although I had concerns about stabilizing the heavier bullet, but shot well.
Why does prs and lrs suck for using good tactics. If the goal is to stick you barrel out the window or be a roof tumor that's fine, but at least try to get low or shoot from concealment.
Its a sport. Its not intended to teach tactics or represent tactical shooting.

Funny, but you mean to say by a Lilja and match chamber. The barrel, stock, optic and shooter are the main limiting factors of the rifle, excluding any atmospheric conditions.. Great shooting by the way, you need to stiffen your competition.. 😆

I cant understand why anyone would want a vudoo. The feeding issues make the gun garbage. If it was a 600 dollar gun people would call it trash but since they are 2k plus people have to have them as a status thing. Everyone tries to buy a win.

Put up some wind streamers and we will see for ourselves. Otherwise all the wind talk is but a bucket full of excuses.
Im already running 3 cameras. I have cleaned that small kyl rack at 150 yards with that rifle on video before.
You can see where the reticle is when the shot breaks and where the bullet hits the plate.....or really the 4" spread of difference between reticle and impact of the bullet.
Not sure what more proof you need that there was wind on the range that day lol
@@PursuitofAccuracy - Looked like fun to me, no matter the outcome. Friendly competition between friends. Wind can play havoc, it is always changing, never static, especially over distance. It can change direction (swirl) at that distance and really mess with a little .22. Doping for wind, in itself, is a challenging venture, to say the least. Keep up the great (and fun) vid's.
