- The 1999 Ferrari F399's V10 engine makes a terrific sound at the 2015 Modena Trackdays at Spa Francorchamps. Luckily we were there to catch it doing some laps! This car wasn't up for too much action, it only drove once during the 2 days of the event yet that one time was enough to hear its roar at full chat.
Also please don't complain about the driver that he can't handle the car or say that he can't drive etc. Once he got to the track he gave quite the show in this stunning machine. Besides, him failing a couple of times to get the car to the track resulted in us being able film a few more start-ups! We do apologize for most of the video being the driver just trying to get the car going but we still thought we'd share that piece as it's just nice to look at this car and hear it start up a few times. As said before, the car only raced once during the entire 2 days which gave us very little opportunities to actually film it from all the angles we wanted to.
This Ferrari F399 was driven by Michael Schumacher in the 1999 Formula One season.

The F1 V10s sound UNGODLY amazing. I think this is the first time I've seen some one capture the sound of it idling in the garage, which is incredible in itself!

as a child when I attended my first race in Montreal ... I remember the v10 scared the piss out of me , literally. i wasnt prepared for the violence of the engine and my father insisted i go without ear plugs for the first lap . I should've known better when i heard them from all the way on other side of the track 😒 . amazing machines 😆

those F1 cars are even more beautiful when they're on slick tires, i don't know why they ban them back in the 98 season..
+KRAMer Agree, thoose tires looks awesome on that car. Slick tires had too much grip in corners so the cars would have been too fast and dangerous with improved downforce. Up til Senna crashed in 1994 F1 was not so much about safety only pure driving skills then the sport slowly died in too much restricting rules.
That's the legacy of the man screaming in the bones of that car.

Seems like the driver at 3:15 had a tricky clutch. It's unfortunate because I wanted to see it pull away :)
kling2296 Same here! He eventually did it though ;) Would have liked this car to run a few more laps during Day 2 when we were scattered around the circuit. Would've made for a better understanding of how good this car sounds!
