Rear LCA Bushing Replacement

  • Working on removing the old bushings from the rear lower control arms of the 99 4Runner. These things can be a PITA if they are really rusted in. Make sure to bring the heat if that's the case in your situation.
    27 Piece Press Sleeve Kit: Qp-SUNROAD B-2035

    This looks like a much better system than the Witts End bushing press set.

    Bought sonoran steel lowers, easy switch out? Just arrived today.

      Depending on your rust situation they aren't too bad. I've got little to no rust so they were about 6/10 difficulty with a press and the right size press sleeves. Thanks for watching👍🍺🤘

    How did you get the bolt out? Mine is stuck in, it’ll turn but won’t come out.

      I fortunately live in an area that does not salt the roads, so mine came out rather easily. I think @Timmy The Tool Man #sicmods, has a video on removal of a stuck LCA bolt 👍🍺

      The truck was about 20 years old at that point. It was just time. Once the rubber starts to separate from the housing or the sleeve it's time to go. Thanks for watching!!
