Cybertruck is a timeless crossover hit they just got to keep ramping up production to satisfy the order backlog and all the new ones.
I mean gas engines still cool for like special vehicles like sportcars, supercars etc. but for daily use!? EV is much more user friendly. 😊

I thought the truck was cool, but now that I've seen the matte black I want one.
nailed it with the "its cool because its baddass, not because its electric" Hyundai are going with the cool factor as well, ignoring the electric parts with the new Ioniq 5 N series.
Every time I see one on the street, I look at all of the other cars in traffic around it and think "how on earth do all of these look exactly the same?"

I have had gas engine cars(sport sedansM3, c63s, sport-cars GT3RS, GT4, luxury sedans) all my life and I still have an Aircooled motor Sportcar but electric. I love electric motor Tesla model x and model 3P. I drove them daily, go everywhere with it. Very efficient and quite fun to me to drive them. User friendly, electric motors and interface in perfect harmony. I am in Asia now traveling, in Asia, electric cars advert everywhere like. People are adopting electric drive. Electric scooters, bus, high speed electric trains in Japan, Taiwan, China, Indonesia.
There were two of these in the dollar store lot when I went to ski today.

Correction IMO Mercedes is moving to hybrid because they can’t make a pure electric and make a PROFIT. LEGACY having a hard time moving to new era of streamlined manufacturing!! Hybrids, legacy thinks may buy them some time to figure it out. I don’t think they will be able to change fast enough to stay in business!

Are the customers interested in buying hybrids or is it dealerships fear of empty service departments? Not a hard question to answer. Every salesman has been told to push range anxiety.
I think those are parts of the equation, and I think people who live in apartments are more likely to demand hybrids until most apartments are built to accommodate the charging.

Hey, we just picked up our second Performance Model Y and it makes a different sound that our other one when putting it in reverse (no not the alien sound, it happens before that) Not sure what is going on, anyone here have a 2024 Performance Y?

Me, I like everything in the CYBERTRUCK design but I will modify the windshield pillar it is a little thick for me, I will make this pillar 1 inch thick with the side window to have a more unobstructed view of the road it will be like the 1955 car windshield that is wrapped around cutting to the door window. The TRUCK has less range than Ribian and Ford Lightning and replaced the BALLJOINT of the rear steering wheel, it came out when someone took the Cybertruck off-roading, which means the balljoint is not big enough to carry the weight of the car...
Would probably affect survivability in a roll over crash
Yeah the back Window being able to go down in the CT would be a huge addition to the vehicle and makes it so much more usable in a lot situations (in addition to being sweet 😂).
Also been to the Pavilion when visiting family in the past. Great event!

The thing that broadcasts legacy auto's contempt (and complete misunderstanding) for EVs are their horrible model names. Instead of real car names, they're given stupid names that sound like nerdy consumer tech gadgets from the 1990s: e-tron, i-pace, ID.3, Mach-E.

the onlookers cant believe that someone is that stupid for buying such a piece of crap, they want to see what he looks like, and if the truck will make it to the end of the yard before it breaks.
When it comes to hybrids every manufacturer is only doing it to get that bonus approval of 0 emissions, so the smallest battery possible to meet the requirements. But what if they instead went the opposite with a medium size EV battery and small engine instead? lets say 60kWh battery with a small diesel with no gear or drive train. The only purpose of the engine is to charge the battery and use the excessive energy to heat the cabin and the battery when needed. Why have no one thought of that before, I'm sure it would be a game changer.

Glad they built it, interesting design but with so many compromises and problems which are solved decades ago by almost all cars. Also definately the CT is in the top 5 ugliest cars of that show. But because it is so new and controversial it gets so much attention and at this time it is one of the best cars for you tube content. I test drove it because i wanted to have an objective opinion about it, and i found more that 10 deal brakers for me, and many others inconviniences and compromises unfortunately.

That matte black makes this CT!!! I think the designers thought the stainless steel would make it look high-tech but it did the opposite and made it look cheap. They would probably sell more for less money if they used traditional metal and paint.
Dent-proof stainless makes it tougher than conventional painted mild steel. Painted trucks are scratched, dented, and rusty in five years.

Problem with CT is not specific to a truck, its due to the mundane appeal of a BEV, that cannot have different personalities like an ICE vehicle. Ever wonder, why all those cars in the car show have their hood open?🤔. ICE vehicles are more human, while the BEVs are more like the terminator kind. In an ICE vehicle, the vehicle is your Exoskeleton, while in a BEV, you are more of a puppeteer! Just some 💭❤️👍

What you are saying is EV's are great commuters while a nice ICE can be used for commuting and cruising on the weekends. But this Cybertruck unlike other Teslas can also be used for both. At least until everyone has seen it and is no longer drawn to it.
@@juliahello6673 Not really. I do own two M3s one being an AWD with FSD. Recently, I was trying to get a 2003 VW Jetta TDI ALH diesel operational from being unused for more than 10 yrs(interestingly it started so easily, after being idle for a looong time). With the amount of community knowledge, and the ability to use VCDS, I am having so much fun with it, both understanding the inner workings, as well as diagnosing and customizing it, than the one-pedal driving of my M3s. Also, it was very interesting to find out there are a ton of these old engines pushing past 500K miles routinely, all the while having a mpg of more than 50 on average!. I am unsure, even if my M3s will push past 250K, without needing a major repair(esp, HV batteries or coolant leak damage to drive units🤞).It has also made me more comfortable to do more advanced servicing on my M3s!. Some of the excitement may be unrelated neverthless!😊
