I love how they throw their head back and roll with their sound, like they're mustering the inner depths of their vocal cords for the growling bark they do hehe
A pack of 4 of these guys (mum, pop, and 2 kits) moved into our neighbourhood recently. We respect each other and coexist just fine. Really glad they arrived because in my culture, we believe that they're here to help us out during a hard time, which I'm definitely going through right now. Nothing more calming than seeing these guys lounging around around dusk and hearing them bark and climb one of our trees in the middle of the night.
They are also fantastic pest control! There used to be a female that was living near the nursery I work near one of the UC's. We had virtually no problems with rodents outdoors and I saw her catch at least 1-2 rodents a day. We didn't see her for a while once summer ended, but recently I saw her living in the university campus near the veterinary medicine facility. She probably finds a lot more food out there, but we miss her a lot.
I live in northern California and I have a fox on my property that does this at me every time i walk outside. Wondering what he is trying to communicate...

And if you've never heard them before you'd think they're an animal choking to death like I did last night until I found them.😂
This is beautiful footage. What a gorgeous animal. I find this video to be better than mine, for sure
Did you caught a grey fox calling ? Im looking forward to a video about finding some of these maybe fox kits Chris
I have a family of grey foxes in my back yard.
@@mathgasm8484 Wow, so lucky. Beautiful animals
@@chrisegnoto I live in 12.5 acres so they have enough room to hunt and play.
@@mathgasm8484 hi do they attack humans
This is finally the sound.... the sound I've been hearing all night today
I have two fox friends at Point Reyes who I visit weekly and they sound just like this! I love their sounds, very unique and so fitting for them!
very different than red fox barks, I didn't expect a so hoarse voice from a so tiny creature !
Had a grey fox yelling at me last night while I always sitting on the porch ran up to me about 15 feet away doing this
Excellent footage.
So THIS is what the fox says...
Aaaww absolute cutie pie!
I just heard one tonight! I was trying to figure out what it was. Thanks for the video!
They're also proficient with swords.
Belleza del mundo!!!!me encantaría tener uno!!!!
Que belleza 🤩!
Cute little fox.

Same
"A cornered fox is more dangerous than a jackal"
Why he actin' like a Five Nights At Freddy's animatronic though, hahahaha!
Doesn’t sound how expected. A wheezy croaky bark instead of the cute laughing noise of a red fox.
I have one barking near my chicken coop 😤
Let it in. A small penance for what we've done to their habitat ❤️
it's gray fox it's me!
Thanks for recording me waving at the camera!
That ear flop tho
I can't quite put my finger on it, but I feel like there could have been a catchier title you could have gone for.
That's a very strange-sounding cat.
Gray foxes are canids
This isn’t actually a gray fox it’s an island fox! You can tell because of its long tail and smaller body! :D
They look similar, but it's a gray fox. Spotted in Utah.
Bro, you got something stuck in your throat-
this vid might explode in views
you’ve predicted the future.
Do you know if this is male or female?
Can someone help me try to figure out how to do these vocals I’m a therian
No means no mr or mrs camera person
Capital!
It's funny how it looks more cat than dog lol
They climb trees like cats too. They have partial retractable claws.
Grey fox are known for their catlike behavior. They even climb trees like a cat to get at berries and fruit AND to escape from coyotes.
Looks like a dog, moves like a cat
