Atacama Desert in Bloom - Desierto Florido in Chile by atacamaphoto

Every five to eight years rain falls in one of the driest deserts on earth, the Atacama. A few weeks later life explodes and the desert is covered in flowers of all colors. Insects, birds, lizards and other animals appear.
Two months later the blooming desert comes to an end and you have to wait years to see it again.

Congratulations on this beautiful, amazing work! I wanted to visit Atacama, not so far from my Brazil.
