Wow that shit was a hit bro, I've flirting with gambling after i started playing poker. It's kinda crazy how you had a similar story. My family has a known issue with compulsive gambling so it's not something i got into until very recently. Watching your content really does help keep me in touch with reality and my relationship with gambling. I've lost a lot gambling recently, not more then i could bare, but probably more then I would have liked to spend, and its a combination of factors i feel like, but I'm happy watching your content as it actively inhibits me from gambling. Its very nice how you talk through the mindset and the struggles it makes your content very relatable.

Well made video.. however in my opinion poker shouldn’t be included into a discussion like this. With the proper study.. practice and experience.. poker can be very profitable. You aren’t playing against the house, you are playing against other players. Learning the mathematical probabilities and studying ranges will allow you to win more than you lose if properly implemented.

@@rabiiwolfborn ive only gambled on sport games and in the Netherlands casino’s are obligated to give you the ability to limit. Ive put my limit on 1 euro’s so that i cannot spend on it. Gambling is not worth it and i only played with money that i had. I realize that it is an useless activity and are not going to return.

I loved this video. It is so enlightening on the dangers of gambling. Relying on pure chance is not something anyone should do.

There are people who have been gambling for a living, a good living, for decades. You have never heard of most of them. A few have at least some public exposure, such as Jean Scott, Bob Dancer, and Stanford Wong. And, of course, the best poker pros have made millions. Advantage players have made and continue to make money at almost all kinds of gambling including blackjack, other table games, some slots, video poker, sports betting and almost any other game where a casino offers a promotion that turns a bad game into a good game. I have made money at keno. Both times I made over 5K and it was due to a promotion that gave a massive bonus for certain payouts. It is all about math. The pros know precisely how to calculate the game return and they know precisely how that return is impacted by promotions or other casino incentive.
The things in this video are things that STUPID people do and think. This does not mean you will do them, unless, of course, you are an idiot.
If you are not able to, in effect, prove you have a mathematical edge, you should not play. You also need to have a firm grasp of the risk of going broke even when you have an edge. The idea is simple enough that you don't truly need the math to get it. If you are playing any game where a bad, but normal, run can cause you to lose more than 5% of your bankroll, you are betting too much. Just bet less and the risk of going broke becomes minute. This is true even when you have an edge, but if you are actually a losing player, you simply need to find a different game.
My problem with this video is that it fails to give a fair view of gambling and how it can be a net benefit to the studious player.

The video has nothing to do with trying to give a fair view of gambling. You completely missed the point. Its intended to try and help people that are really really struggling. Some people need emotional support while other may need to hear the dark truth. Were trying to help people, not throw math in their face.
