  • The UK's biggest ever inquiry into child abuse has begun with shocking evidence from people who say they suffered torture at the hands of Catholic priests and nuns.
The inquiry is focusing on maltreatment inside care homes in Northern Ireland where survivors say they were forced to bathe in disinfectant, eat their own vomit and clean excrement out of toilets with their bare hands.
The probe is possible because abuse survivors are willing to share their experiences.
Al Jazeera's Laurence Lee reports from Londonderry, or Derry as it is also known, in Northern Ireland.
WARNING: you may find some details in his story disturbing.

In other news a bunch of kitten meowed for the first time while they were cuddling in a sea satin.
We'll need at least that to cope with such atrocities...

Hate evil, you who love God (Psalm 97:10). Abuses of power must have consequences.
