Great ad. Made in a time where everyone was carefree and had little worry in their lives. Marketing sure isn't applied that way nowadays.

A real nice little 1970 style melody-line, here .. an all-round memorable ad, from good times long gone & long past ...

I used to work for Dolly magazine in the 70s. The promotion disk for Amoco with this song was available inside one of the editions of the magazine. Great song. Still love it.

Thank U so much for Uploading this Ad. This was my FAVOURITE Amoco Ad from the 1970's. Even when it came on the Tele in Black & White, my Older Brother & I would Run into the Lounge Room, just to watch it. People would also go to the Saturday Arvo/Night Pictures, Hoping to see this Ad in Colour. I still also Remember All the Lyrics to this day. ♥Your Uploads.

I have that red plastic Dolly single with this song. "A Preferential Matter" - yes, it was my sisters' magazine!

I wonder how often those filters were changed spoke to the machanics in the day and they never knew of any that were changed.

In 2020 it's interesting that we don't see petrol companies advertised
on TV this way - do the companies realise how toxic their product is or
is it a case of knowing it is a necessary evil if we want to drive our
    cars?
