He had to go back to Victoria, because he’s a good and honourable man, and needed to give her closure on why he didn’t return. He didn’t owe her that, but he knew it was the right thing to do.
Stardust is on of my favourites too, as it had a bunch of the same fun elements as Princess Bride: swordfighting, pirates, princes, with just a splash of magic for added measure. Overall tbough, I think the producers of the film summed it up best: it's not a film that will change the world, but it will leave you with good feeling! 😊🤗
33:54 I just love, LOVE, *LOVE* the feature that she's glowing like that when she's having strong feelings. 😍🤭😭🥰❤ If you're not enchanted watching this and seeing this, you just have no soul! 😊
I agree. I own and enjoy the book, but it has moments of unnecessary darkness (like what happens to the unicorn) that detract from the story. I love the movie version.
This is a hidden gem or underrated film. Production value and effects were so good for its time. Some stuff could have been improved like narrative and screenplay but so far as story/plot goes, weaving do many characters and different story lines into one felt amazing.
Tristan promised Victoria he’d bring back the star, and in fairy tales “a hero/knight is a man of their word.” You know, chivalry, honor, promises, that sort of tripe.
"What do stars do? They shine." Fun Fact: Olivia Grant's cinematic debut. Authentic Battle Scars Fact: Charlie Cox suffered a minor injury while filming the climatic battle sequence against the witches, when a huge solidified vase knocked him unconscious. Lucky Seven Fact: All Princes wear clothing with a pattern spelling out their number in Roman numerals, composed by smaller Arabic numerals. Furthermore, Septimus (Mark Strong) wears a vest with the numeral seven on each button. Septimus's musical theme is written in 7/8 time. Casting Notes Fact: When co-writer and director Matthew Vaughn pitched this movie to executives at Paramount Pictures, the studio wanted a more recognizable name, like Orlando Bloom, to play Tristan. It was only after Vaughn had cast Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Claire Danes in the movie did Paramount agree to let Vaughn cast Charlie Cox as Tristan.
I LOVE Septimus' theme, my favorite of the score. Mark Strong is also one of my favorite actors and he speaks PERFECT German, you have to check it out! 😍 I even loved Claire Danes in this one, she really knocked it out of the park.
This film has always made me smile. Glad you enjoyed it. I've never really seen the moral of the story to be " have sex with a stranger", but now that you've laid it out I can't not see it.
I don't know how many times I watched this one before I recognized Mark Williams as Billy. Arthur Weasley and Father Brown and a billy goat? That man has range!
This is one of a hand full of movies, I always recommend to people but very rarely someone watches and even likes it. Some others would be The Guest, Predestination, The Invitation (2015), The Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past, The Fountain, My Best Friend's Wedding, Crazy Stupid Love, The Holiday, The Heartbreak Kid, A Blast From The Past or Desert Flower .....
Thanks for the reaction. I like how you recognized everyone at first even if you weren't sure. It was cute. "Is that Henry Cavill?" "Is that Charlie Cox, Daredevil?" "Is that Michelle Pfeifer?". I saw this movie before Daredevil, and didn't know who Charlie was yet. And it wasn't until I saw this again after Daredevil where I was like "That's Charlie Cox" haha
I love watching your reactions. Your such a charming person. This is another favorite of mine. I also love Across the Universe (story is propelled by Beatles songs), Lady Hawk.
If you look at the princes' outfits, they have their number on it. Septimus has 7 on his buttons, Secondous has a roman numeral 2 embrodiered on his coat for examples.
Good movies that it would be good seeing you react: Michelle Pfeiffer in "Ladyhawke" is a little known hidden gem. High fantasy "Legend" 1985 (extended version only, not the US theatrical release). Another gritty fantasy is "Willow" with Val Kilmer and Warwick Davis . A trippy sort of fantasy is "Time Bandits ", and by the same director (one of the original Monty Python crew) "the Adventures of Baron Munchausen" and then "Erik the Viking ". Disney real world retelling of a fairy tale "Enchanted ". Anothe retelling of a fairy story is "Maleficent" (and the second) Mark Strong (Prince Septimus) is so good at being nasty and sinister. The Sherlock Holmes movie opposite Robert Downey Jr , and the great adventure that Disney hated "John Carter". Do "Alita Battle Angel"!
Another adventure movie you should see is Labyrinth (1986) .... that one was a bit wird iirc but it's a classic :) and another you also should see is The 10th Kingdom but it's a mini-serie so it's quite long, but fun, easy humor and a bit of magic...
You asked for more movie recommendations, so here's my (long) list, roughly sorted from oldest to newest. (It's so long that I had to split it between Comment and Reply.) Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939)
@@ariachanson01 That white gold! Loved the reaction. This movie is so great, one of my favorites! Charlie is sooooo adorable (Claire is too, for that matter) and the reason I started watching Daredevil.
The village on the normal side of the wall is not too far from me, little place called Castle Combe. It has a 5 star hotel, a 4 star hotel, a race track, a golf course and less than 400 people live there. In the more historic area of the village the newest house was built in about 1600.
Watch out for Captain Shakespeare, he has a fearsome reputation!

Very underrated film!
Very much so...
soo true
Yes! I love that fairy tale movie 🥰
One of my fave films along with Princes Bride and Big Fish :)
The coronation song almost never fails to give me chills. Ilan Eshkeri did a bang-up job with that composition--it's literally called "Coronation."
I love Neil Gaiman but this is one of the few films I consider better than the book
I agree. I own and enjoy the book, but it has moments of unnecessary darkness (like what happens to the unicorn) that detract from the story. I love the movie version.
This is the first reaction where I haven't seen the movie...thank you for another great one
This is a hidden gem or underrated film. Production value and effects were so good for its time. Some stuff could have been improved like narrative and screenplay but so far as story/plot goes, weaving do many characters and different story lines into one felt amazing.
This is one of my favorite comfort movies! I love the world that it reveals, such creative concepts!
Tristan promised Victoria he’d bring back the star, and in fairy tales “a hero/knight is a man of their word.” You know, chivalry, honor, promises, that sort of tripe.

@@chanceneck8072 Marvel's Daredevil. Masterpiece.
I mean, I can see how they'd want to cast Orlando Bloom in this. He fits the role, but...Charlie just made magic out of this movie.
Wow glad to see this video...
I love Stardust.....!

One of my all time favourites. It has such a feel good vibe :33
This film has always made me smile. Glad you enjoyed it.
I've never really seen the moral of the story to be " have sex with a stranger", but now that you've laid it out I can't not see it.
43:13 something I never noticed is when the dead princes all disappear, Septimus turns red and goes down while the others turn white/blue and go up
Woah, I need to watch that again
A favorite of mine. Thanks for doing this one. It's surprising how many big names were in this film. You were very quick with the story. Good job.
ive rated thousands of movies on IMDB only 4 got 10 stars, this movie is one of them.
Which were the other 3?
Yeah man, what were the other three?
Finally someone else watched it. If you want something like this then also watch Enchanted and Ella Enchanted.
Enchanted is another good modern retelling of a fairy story. Then of course Maleficent.
Great reaction. I have never seen this movie before but it was fun watch it with you for the first time. Thank you and be well girl. 😄
Glad you enjoyed it
I don't know how many times I watched this one before I recognized Mark Williams as Billy. Arthur Weasley and Father Brown and a billy goat? That man has range!
I love this movie too, and don't be jealous of Tristan's hair, yours is gorgeous too.
How many famous people are there in this movie....um....all of them? lol, got a kick out of that.

This movie is excellent. Cheers for reaction 👍

Good movie. Don't see many reactions to it either, so this will help set your channel apart.
Charlie Cox with long hair reminds me of Brendan Frasier.
This is such a great movie but nobody talks about it.
Oh you've already seen it, I hope you enjoyed it - gonna watch it now.

I think the teleporting candle is the only part I remember reading from the novel version
I actually asked Charlie to say "bubbling candle" during a RUclips AMA 😄

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939)
❤
Check out Gattaca - Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman.
Hold up...ten minutes in before you recognize Charlie Cox but two seconds you know it's Michelle Pfeiffer in ten pounds of wrinkle makeup?
I mean, she's MICHELLE PFEIFFER

Wonderful movie! The only thing is 45:51. Bit of a weird moral: Have unprotested sex with total strangers...
