- St. Mark's Campanile is the bell tower of St. Mark's Basilica at the Piazza San Marco in Venice, Italy. Visitors can take an elevator to the top of the tower and enjoy some of the most stunning views of Venice!
Join us as we explore the bell tower by enjoying a majestic birds-eye view of Venice and discovering the spot where Galileo once stood. Let's just keep an eye on those large, menacing bells right above our heads. We don't know what will happen if they begin to ring!

Aha i see the Campanile everyday in my city Las Vegas...but it's only a replica, lol. That's amazing you guys got to go up there and see everything and up close video of the bell ringing was quite something. Like #16 my friends.
The ringing bells were a bit of a surprise! The lady operating the elevator said they would not ring, and of course, right when I was under one of the bells trying to get a closeup shot, that's when the ringing commenced. It was a surprise but added to the fun of the visit! We appreciate you visiting and watching!

Looks chilly but glad you had some sunshine!
We were fortunate to have good weather during our entire stay. It was chilly, but we enjoyed every minute (well--except for a half hour after I realized I left my camera at a restaurant; that was a panic moment, but the camera and all the footage was recovered!) This happened at a pizzeria that we'll be reviewing later. The hosts there were great!

@@AdventureswithDanTracie That's right, the sound of the bell has the effect of giving realism to the clip. When we visited the tower, we were not lucky enough to hear the bells :)

Yes, I think almost no one is in the streets and the hotels/restaurants are all shut down. I'm just thankful that we were able to visit when we did. We're looking forward to seeing more of Italy in the future. Thank you for visiting our channel and leaving a comment!

I loved the views from the Campanile - we lined up early on a weekday morning so our wait was not that long. This brings back awesome memories. :) Venice is so gorgeous from above.
I think we were lucky when we arrived at the campanile. The line wasn't long at all when we arrived, but an hour later when we exited, the line stretched out the entrance door. This was in the mid-afternoon on Friday, December 27th. Thank you very much for watching our video and providing a detailed comment. We hope you have a great weekend!

Christmas week was perfect for us since the crowds aren't bad and, historically, there's a lower risk of flooding and rainfall during the last week of December. There's also beautiful Christmas decorations throughout the city.
