Good stuff man, this game actually is a pretty good speedrun game. There is a lot of subtle strategy to it. I think you might could gain some time by mastering the turning and turning only the absolute minimum. I'm pretty sure there are many turns that you don't really have to turn on at all, and the rest will require some play testing to find the point of crash on each turn, and turn only at that one point.
I don't get how anyone can say that Sonic Adventure games were bad should they weren't your typical Sonic game where is 2D but for a 3D platforming game I thought it was extremely fun especially as a little child
