I was in the audience and a year later, this still makes me so happy to watch! I didn’t know any of the people that won but I felt genuine happiness when they did win, especially the bigger prizes! We were there for about 8-9 hours (a lot of waiting around outside) and only were inside for a couple of those. Bryce was actually pretty late and didn’t get there until right before we went in to the studio. Then he won everything 😂🎉 👏🏼
prizes were nice but show got worse over the years. I mean, look at the people. more than half of them are overweight. you've never seen this in the 70's/80's. thanks feminism.

I get that they pick the contestants before the show, but if you were going to actually come on down was a surprise if you are sitting in a group of people. By having no audience, the feeling of surprise was gone and the dumb striking a pose thing was horrible after a contestant won the Contestants Row bid. Now it’s back to having a more surprised reaction and it feels more natural again
It always cracks me up when grocery items get the most generic description possible: "It's a 1.5 quart carton of cookie dough ice cream", "It's a 3 ounce can of cat food". Guessing some companies didn't go the extra mile to pay for a branded plug.
It's been quite some time since they've done branded plugs on the show. I rarely hear the brand being explicitly mentioned when I watch. It might be because having your brand featured on a long-running and much-loved game show is good enough for you to be recognized.
Well they do this hoping the contestants pay attention when most of the time they don't. Because a 9 oz can of cat food would cost MORE than a 3 oz can of cat food. As I said on a previous post, I'd have this game won if I played it on the show, because I do my own grocery shopping, and used to work for a grocery store chain.

But sadly, this was the beginning of the final season of “The Price Is Right” where it was taped at the Bob Barker Studio at CBS Television City. The pricing game "Squeeze Play" went back to its original color = blue. There could've been a DSW winner, when Bryce missed the showcase by $450 (only $200 away from a DSW winner). Despite that, it was his day and game anyways! It was also still a "Big Win" for him, he won $61,523, including a car that got him to be the "Runner Up" in the showcase, because his opponents trip & everything else, included in the "Bonus Game" that was worth almost $55,000 (total really is: $48,700). That was not the 1st time, in the showcase where a car winner had been the "Runner Up," the 1st time, in the showcase, where the other Scott, won a car in "Any Number," back in 1991, that didn't beat the other Scott's winnings from Plinko & The Big Wheel, and the other Scott lost.
