thanks for keeping this up this long, help me make stool for my 4yr son so my 2 yr old can use his old one :)
Cool I came here because I'm looking for ideals for my niece and a step stool project. Thank you for the cool ideals 👍🏾
I just made two of these for my daughter. It was my first true DIY project and you made it so easy to follow and complete. Thank you!
Awesome, Im stoked you were able to get your first DIY project accomplished. Big props!
I love the added touch about the present from your Uncle. I've always been fascinated by wood work as my Grandfather who I didn't know very well was a wood worker/ carver. The only thing I have from him is a jewellery box he made and it's one of my favourite items.
Thats awesome! Yeah its so cool he made one for most of the people in my family!
Just did this (first wood project), it came out great . Thank you for sharing
Im so happy you were able to make one! Congrats and keep up the creativity!
Love it. I starting building it for my grandchildrens👍👍
Awesome!
Just a quick thought, flip that center piece (9 in) and drill it in from the backside, then no need for the Brad nails ;)
That is a good idea!
Ur funny. Good stuff. Great video. 😎👍
Lovely
Just built this bad boy, easy and free with 2x4 scraps. If you make it a tad wider you can get the pocket hole screws in both sides of the stabalizer piece. I glued mine too and this thing is rock solid. Thanks for the video
Awesome! Im glad you made it your own!!
This is exactly the stool I've been looking for.
Sweet! I hope you took away enough from this video to confidently build it on your own!
Good job
Thank you!
Beautiful and looks easy enough. Thanks! You're great at explaining and quite entertaining!
Thank you so much!
Exelent
Thanks!
Nice job, quick and easy! Thanks for sharing your stool with us!
I made my own stool!!!!! Thanks so much for making it so easy for me.
Awesome!! I would love to see a picture! I'm stoked for you!
Thanks, will be attempting to make for the kitchen
Awesome stool I’m going to build this with my 9 year old son. We just finished a hot pink PVC shoe rack.
Sweet! Martha Stewart makes a pink wood dye that you can get from Michaels if you want to make the wood match!
Great video! I especially like the tips on painting and staining. Bring on the next one!
Thanks Kim!
I looked at dozens of designs and this one seems the best for sturdiness and simplicity. Time to charge the batteries for my circular saw and drill! Thanks
Thanks! Good luck on the build!
Sawdust & Wanderlust let me know if you want to see my finished product! I made it a Superman there
Yeah Absolutely I'm stoked to see it!
Sawdust & Wanderlust if you put a contact email on your about page I could send in some photos, or I could probably figure out a way to upload photos on the internet and post a link....
Send it to sawdustdave@sawdustwanderlust.com
This little stool is an indispensable fixture in my home. As a “vertically challenged” adult, I use my stool daily as it enables me to reach high cabinets and shelves around the house! Great item to build for your home, or as a gift for someone else’s.
Thanks IZZY!
Great video! Clear, concise, and exactly what I was looking for. So many plans say simple, but involve things like table and circular saw that aren’t very simple for beginners. I plan on making one an extra step higher with extended platform to use as a cat step/condo with window seat.
Thank you Monique ! That sounds like an awesome idea! Let me know how it turns out!
Good job,I hope you do more videos
Thank you!
Very Good. Thanks.
You are welcome. Thank you for you nice words!
"Here you go! Do you like it?" "Nnnooo."
I understand this as a mom 😑😂
Best ending ever! :) That kid is awesome hahaha
I haveto agree!
great vid. 👍🏻😊☺
Thank you!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Good video and better commentary
Thank you Conrad I appreciate it!
THIS LOOKS AWESOME! Thanks so much Sawdust Dave for the awesome Video! I'm going to build one of these this weekend!!!
As my brother, I can tell you goodluck. I am waiting the phone call asking for a hand ;p
ahhhh i can't believe it congrats Dave!!!!
Thanks Molly!!
Where did you go?? You are really good at making videos.
Thank you! Life and what not 😅 I'm getting back to it!
Great job on your 1st vid...idea for next kids video is a child's chair and/or table? Hoping my 1.5 year old will be patient enough for me to tackle this project. Curious if it's not to heavy for children to pick up and move?
Thank you!! Yeah that sounds like a great video idea. The stool isnt too heavy at all. My niece has no problem lifting it up and moving it around ! You can always use 1x4 for the steps to cut down on the weight as well!
Well done! It doesn't look like this is your first Video judging by your quality! Subbed
Thank you! I really appreciate that, glad to have you in the tribe Graham!
Really well done, enjoyed watching it. Keep it up! 😎🤩
Thank you!!
perfect simple stool! wood be great to get a link to the plans for this :)
i may have some on my blog its been a while since ive been on it. sawdustwanderlust.com but everything that you need is in the video!
Great video. You made it easy to understand and relatable with your story telling.
Thank you!
Cool job
I made this myself today! 👍
That’s some ASMR quality close up shots. Great idea and can’t wait to try it out!
Thank you very much!!
you made this video that was easy to understand how to make this step stool. I was watching this video to see how to make one for my mom 10 # dog. how much do you think it will cost? the one at wal mart they wanted 25.99 plus tax and shipping cost. I could not find no one lower than the price of 25.99. i like you only had one board of 8 ft. I like this. now i have to price 8ft board will cost. thanks a lot
I couldnt tell you how much a 2x4 will cost where you are located but I can tell you at my home depot they are under $5. they can make all of the cuts for you there. Then you just have to stain or paint and then put them together!
I subscribed and hit the bell. Looking forward to more videos. Your newest video is a year old. Are you doing any more?
Thank you! I have not been making videos recently I was having trouble uploading but yes ! Im working on a tiny house and planning on uploading more videos and DIY content.
Great video sawdust Dave. I would like you to DJ our next party, please!
😍😍
Mix a little bit more sense to just turn the beat the wood around to the back screws aren't inside
FYI, you can make it 14” wide instead of 12” using a single 2x4x96. Just cut an 11” long piece instead if 9”, otherwise the instructions in the video are the same
stool
Where is the cut list?
suggestion: include avi in every video
I shall do my best to make it happen!
woodprix scripts includes most of woodworking plans you can find
Woodprix is nice for that.
Just tell us how to make it, you don’t have to entertain. Thank You for you guidance, I built one.
Did I offend you by trying to make interesting engaging content? You are welcome, I'm happy to make videos teaching people in a fun way.
