      @@imjimimack I think if you take it out of context, then far reaching maybe….but the thing is, listening to the podcast and knowing the respect Jason has for JKM, it’s done out of silliness. It’s like that teacher you really liked in school, and how fun it was get them to laugh. I don’t believe there is malice involved here. My buddies and I cut up and screw with each other all the time in the same fashion. But I do hate you feel that way.

  • @stiansberg7869
    @stiansberg7869 Год назад +4

    Cool project, but I noticed one potential hazard. In the step-stool position, that piece of wood in the back should NOT be there. It's a serious tripping hazard when it's at that height. If a child stands and steps backward, or just looses balance, it' much safer to just fall straight to the floor rather than trip over a bar/piece of wood in that position. Rather than just falling the height of the chair they could potentially fall OVER the bar and land head first instead. I used to work 15 years in a kindergarten, and we often used their small chairs as step stools for them to reach the kitchen counter when cooking food together, and we ALWAYS put the back of the chair towards the counter/cabinets so that their backs were free of any obstacles.

    • @alexcollins1193
      @alexcollins1193 Год назад +1

      Yeah i don’t really understand that one, i mean you either have to lift your child over it or they duck under to get up there, i was very confused the entire time. But it also looks difficult to sit in as a desk. It is a very cool build, but yeah that extra piece doesn’t look super necessary and defeats being able to just step up it

    • @apembertonfowler
      @apembertonfowler Год назад

      I don’t think it’s safe for a child to get out of the desk on their own. How do they swing their legs around to get that leverage? You’d have to pull them out. I’m a retired teacher and knowing kids as I do, I really don’t get this build. I’m not even sure if this project is sturdy enough to be tip resistant.

Typically woodworkers try to always use a nice backdrop when making RUclips videos, so it was cool to actually see parts of his shop. Live when you collaborate with others, but you always make them look like they’re just so so woodworkers, and are lucky to have your presence near them, which they are!

Why would I pay that much more for the Rockler bits? The little case the Rockler bits come in, or???

    That back brace in the step stool orientation make it likely that the child will fall head first to the floor. it was just above knee height and the child would need help to get in or out. The stool should three sided to allow the child to walk up and down the steps unaided.
