Awesome book that gives you step-by-step photos ruclips.net/user/postUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt and directions to make every day project. I can see myself making a few of these projects and giving them as housewarming and holiday gifts!
Templates, double sided tape and my jig... the trifecta! Glad you like it!
You forgot to mention dad bods but yes the jig is awesome!!
I love how no matter what’s going on, you always keep JKM on the edge of uncomfortable….it’s great hahaha
I haven’t had that much fun since the Area 51 raid
I love this mash up vids, so much fun.
I think it sucks. He is a bully and a ham and it ruins the presentation.
@@imjimimack I think if you take it out of context, then far reaching maybe….but the thing is, listening to the podcast and knowing the respect Jason has for JKM, it’s done out of silliness. It’s like that teacher you really liked in school, and how fun it was get them to laugh. I don’t believe there is malice involved here. My buddies and I cut up and screw with each other all the time in the same fashion. But I do hate you feel that way.
"doesn't matter if your wood is hard or soft; just keep working it"
Thanks to both of you! Smiled a lot watching this.
I actually built one of these last year for my little guy for his 2nd bday. He loves the thing. Highly recommend for anyone with little kids.
My daughter loves it so much
What a great video. The collaboration with JKM and the way you two interacted priceless
I have that jig I bought from Tamar I just made a round clock with it and I love it. You two work so good together and funny too.
My wife just asked me to build something similar to this yesterday and it popped up on my feed. Sometimes I’m glad my iPhone listens to my every conversation 😂
Finally some project to be able to get some more value back on child, by using it for repeatable labor!
Dude... literally the day you posted this I was wanting to build one and wondering if you had a video on it! You never disappoint man thanks for what you do!
Two of my faves, building together! Love it. Happy new year.
What a great collaboration, love it guys 🔥🫵🏻
Awesome collaboration looks like you two had a lot of fun happy new year to you
This is both funny and educational. Great collaboration!
Such a great project!! Thank you!
I'm watching two of my favourite woodworkers for the second time. Epic.
I am fans of both of you guys individually, it is great to see you work together.
Love the concept and utility!
Why do I end up with shop envy watching these guys? It’s hilarious watching the build but the tools, let’s take a minute to drool over them. Jason doing everything is sanding for hours it’s his favorite lol
Even Jason found some tools he wanted to add to his shop
Proud Of Wood. That's the happy ending. Greetings from Czech Republic
Great idea useful in more ways than one.
My dream Collab video would be these two plus Tamar and Steve Ramsey.
We had a 3 way call with Tamar yesterday. My dream team too
Seem there is 2 major safety improvement….tweak the design for more stability base and soft close bar..btw great simple project 😍😍😍
Fun project.
Oh, That is precious!! Such a Patrick and Demi moment. I nearly Cried..... From laughter.. \m/
U are such an agent of chaos lol. Love the collaboration and throwing 3x3's router base in there.
Enjoyed your video
Nice plaid shirts. Looking good. Video as usual very enjoyable.
Perfect timing! I was just looking online for one of these and it’s gonna be a lot less inexpensive to make it!! Can’t wait to order the plans!
Nice job!
A raised garden bed video would be pretty cool.. Planting season is right around the corner, just saying! Keep up the awesome work!
Yes I agree!
Nice colab, Jason & Jonathan! Stay classy!
You guys look like you have a lot of fun.
Very nice episode… 👍🏻
Interesting to see you both have the same taste in shirts.
"Ya ain't thinkin if ya ain't drinking". I'm going to steal that for my future channel. LOL!
MAN!!!! Where was this 6 years ago?!?!? We purchased one of these off of Etsy for... oh... $250 I think? Still worth every penny as our kid loves it and still uses it to this day :D
Awesome project! I honestly expected a laser envy joke at front of video! Lol
15:44 pure concentration 😂
I watched both of your videos. KM has some very nice production values (I’m a photographer and appreciate it) but your entertainment value is far superior. Hang out with Jonathan and see if you can teach him humor. Well done.
I want you know I miss you and have lots of confusing feelings…
He's leaving a trail of broken hearts
This was great! Great project with JKM and comic relief!
@text-9815 No thanks! No text from me. You’re not BMW. Go steal from someone else.
@BourbonMoth.. go steal from someone else MF’r!
Shoutout to Tamara at 3 x 3!
Great project. I would have inlaid the hinges to remove the gap but each to their own.
That needs to be on a BM t-shirt…”wood may be hard but the projects don’t have to be”….and you can sell it on your website with a link in the video description
This project is like getting DaVinci and Michelangelo to paint your walls white.
I like the concept of Jason traveling to famous woodworkers and just ripping their shop and methods apart.
Well I have seen JKM first video then I said ooooh you must have had your special insight version well I was laughing all the video in a serious way.... great video!
I wood never have believed this could be hard.
Dude you are too hilarious!!!
I kept hearing the Righteous Brother's song from the movie Ghost during the intro
that outro was perfect. Wood may be hard, but your projects don't have to be... just never invite your friend from Oregon over to help, eh? ;)
Cool project, but I noticed one potential hazard. In the step-stool position, that piece of wood in the back should NOT be there. It's a serious tripping hazard when it's at that height. If a child stands and steps backward, or just looses balance, it' much safer to just fall straight to the floor rather than trip over a bar/piece of wood in that position. Rather than just falling the height of the chair they could potentially fall OVER the bar and land head first instead. I used to work 15 years in a kindergarten, and we often used their small chairs as step stools for them to reach the kitchen counter when cooking food together, and we ALWAYS put the back of the chair towards the counter/cabinets so that their backs were free of any obstacles.
Yeah i don’t really understand that one, i mean you either have to lift your child over it or they duck under to get up there, i was very confused the entire time. But it also looks difficult to sit in as a desk. It is a very cool build, but yeah that extra piece doesn’t look super necessary and defeats being able to just step up it
I don’t think it’s safe for a child to get out of the desk on their own. How do they swing their legs around to get that leverage? You’d have to pull them out. I’m a retired teacher and knowing kids as I do, I really don’t get this build. I’m not even sure if this project is sturdy enough to be tip resistant.
The big Katz just using you! Funny stuff, fellas
Got’em
Automatic Centering Punch
"J. KATZ MOSES" MAKES HIM SOUND LIKE A EVIL WOOD BARRON!🤣🤣🤣
Y’all should wear matching flannel shirts.😂
“With our plans in one hand and wood in our other hand… that sounded weird…” 😂😂😂 3:27
9:15 rotfl! Omgosh you kill me, you’re too much! 🤗🤗🤗
I’ve watched JKM for quite awhile now, and I’ve never seen his shop so true to form. Typically woodworkers try to always use a nice backdrop when making RUclips videos, so it was cool to actually see parts of his shop. Live when you collaborate with others, but you always make them look like they’re just so so woodworkers, and are lucky to have your presence near them, which they are!
you can tell which ones actually know how to make stuff and which ones are just good presenters
We just moved in so things aren’t quite setup yet 😂
Where do you get the rainbow ply? Haven’t been able to find any anywhere.
neat
This video has everything. Comedy, rainbow hole plugs, and a celebrity cameo from Nicholas Cage.
Great video! I like the still that’s in the background. Any build plans available for it?
Remember if you see color in your stool, see a doctor immediately.
Love the colab.
Hahahahahahaha!!!
If Ryan Reynolds made woodworking videos I imagine it being something like this. 🤣
spring loaded center bunch. Also known as a Window Punch. I will let you guys look it up….. Once you see what they do, it would not be a good toy in his hands. LOL
I feel like Jason has to have older brothers because he is the most stereotypical little brother I've ever seen! 😂
Loved the video and just what I was looking for. We did a simple one but I was wanting this type. Where are the templates, etc. you spoke of?
This was funnier than Saturday morning cartoons from my childhood.
PLEASE do a build with Fisher’s Shop!!
Where do I track down that colorful skateboard blank?
I have a lot more drawers with hardware on the floor as well as other stuff. 😂 so it’s not that bad in JKM shop!
It blows me mind how many “woodworkers” don’t have the self centering bits from Rockler! I’m on my third set - mostly because I lost the other ones. Or set them down somewhere because that’s even stupider because they have a nifty carrying pouch
Hello, thank you for the video. Are the plans on your website available in centimeters?
Great! Did yall do any edge banding?
first scene - Brokeback Mountain
Are you going to be publishing the pattern for the other design you had on paper?
👍
This was fucking hilarious!
👍👍👍
😂 right from the intro.
Did I saw 6 in 1 Tamar router jig?!
Looking for the link to the plug cutters and don’t see it Jason. Am I looking in the wrong place or did you forget to add the link?
Is JKM even a Bourbon Moth Patreon?
When did he win the build with Jason contest??
Hi, am looking to build a workshop ,just wondering what size is your shop has reffances
Just yesterday i found myself wondering "Where's my Bourbon Moth fix??"
7:20 a router table
How long will you take to make a 6’ x 8’ hamp bar with 12 spacers of 15” by 15”? Just to know it doesn’t have to be specific just give a number, please and thank u!!
But where do you store the bourbon?
This is an honest question as I suspect you have your reasons. Can you explain why you use Rockler centering bits vrs the Lee Valley equivalent set? Both companies make excellent tools as far as I know (not an expert by any stretch...), but the three Rockler bits round up to $40 whilst the Lee Valley (literally the same thing) cost $23... Why would I pay that much more for the Rockler bits? The little case the Rockler bits come in, or???
That back brace in the step stool orientation make it likely that the child will fall head first to the floor. it was just above knee height and the child would need help to get in or out. The stool should three sided to allow the child to walk up and down the steps unaided.
Well said! Just posted a similar observation.
You should go watch my video. My daughter is in it and you can see it’s perfect size
@@katzmosestools kids come in different sizes and abilities. the back brace poses a fall risk.
I say the same. Super dangerous at that height.
Yea, that is a big hazard. It can even propel them forward if they bend over too close to it, sending them head first.
Howdie 🙂
Where does one find a “skateboard plank”?
easy build, just need a 20,000 lazer and great skills - ok, i'll watch
Yeah, seen a lot of bull but didn't see any Bulleit 100% rye....🤔
I can't find the kids folding helper tower.
My daughter has limited space for a helper tower. In the video at minute 2:11 there is a copy of plans that fold but they are not on the web site, Can you help me? I do enjoy your work and watch often. Do you have a mattress that you land on for your openings or are you that tough?
