They were a dynamic duo. Too bad the team went downhill after Jeff Van Gundy left
And they didn`t have very good big men (and they were not even that big) and point guards were below average.

That is exactly what happened. The franchise went completely left and we suffered. Still love my Knickerbockers though.

Houston was better than Sprewell...just my opinion
Houston was a better shooter and scorer (in their last season together). Spree was a better defender, passer and rebounder.

spree was the all NBA first team
Houston was only a better shooter, Spree was better at everything else. They were about as good scorers (different strengths), but Spree was a more solid defender. Houston sucked on defense. Overall Spree was just a more complete player.
Houston was a one dimensional player, Spree was a complete player
