    *If you want to know more about the latest video colorization techniques then watch this video on my other channel* : ruclips.net/video/AZvFAsuo3G4/видео.html
    Just to make clear that this is as far as I will go as regards revealing how I do the restoration. I don't intend to reveal more 'tricks of the trade'. It has taken me over 15 years to get to this point and build up the expertise and sets of video tools to do a proper restoration job and I won't give that simply away for nothing. I hope this can be understood. So please don't ask me more about the software and methods that I use etc. Just experiment as much as you like to get good results, because that really is the most interesting and rewarding part of this hobby. This video should really help you to get on your way or simply demonstrates that proper restoration is not easy at all .
    If you are interested, I can restore any old video for you (at a fee). Email: ricksfilmrestoration@gmail.com but that is not the objective of this video that simply is intended to provide a glimpse of how video restoration and colorization is done.

      Pardon me for disagreeing, but that's a really unprofitable attitude. Your work is truly excellent. You should teach. Make a name by helping to pioneer a new industry. You have an opportunity with all these requests for tips and tricks to position yourself early in the game as an industry expert and a master craftsman in a new field. Use this channel to drive traffic to brick and mortar classes, or to a training website that you run on a subscription basis. Or both. So instead of turning the inquisitive away, you turn them into paying customers who come to your site to watch training videos. That way you can teach people THE RIGHT WAY to do this, and get paid lots of money for sharing what you know.
      Dude, I've forgotten more Photoshop over the years than most people will ever know, so I'm not threatened in the least by people learning my tricks. I'm proud to say I've trained them. I've got years of experience in the field, and I know how good I am. So if I can help somebody learn, I'm glad to do it. That's what's wrong with the world today. Too much "me", not enough "we". Don't get mad at people for asking for your wisdom and experience. Get their money by giving them what they're asking you for. Everybody wins! 😊

      Do you do this professionally? Sounds like a very valuable service if you can do it commercially. Not sure what the market would be like ??

    • @gmlaster
      @gmlaster 2 года назад +2

      @@LS-ot4ho The cool thing about new markets is that you have the opportunity to shape them. Just imagine being able to take those awful police suspect drawings and turn them into photographs of the perpetrators, or take photographs of unidentified John or Jane Doe’s and bring them to life so they can be identified by loved ones. Markets are created by enterprising people. What’s just a hobby now could easily become a career path someday. Even a degree curriculum in college.

    I was a US NAVY PHOTOGRAPHER 1971 TO 75 so I have been a still photographer now I have sophisticated Sony Camera the A7rii, S7riv, and A9 which also shoot video. I'm still learning and I'm trying to learn how to use Light Room Classic and it is not easy for me. So I have been watching your project closely. While in the Navy I was on the USS TICONDEROGA CVS 14 which was the recovery ship for the last two Moon Missions so being a young photographer it was once in a lifetime experience. The TICONDEROGA was decommissioned in 1973 and I was able to keep all my photos of Apollo and other events. I had my parents send me old family photos that were in bad shape so I restored many of them in black n white. That's all I just need to learn light room better.

      Indeed it is a nice hobby. Good luck with your efforts. It takes quite some time and trial-and-error to learn how to do it properly.
