Yo recuerdo hace unos años atrás con 'When My Baby Smiles At me I Go To Rehab' gracias a ese video animado que me recordó al dibujo animado de 'Adult Swin' llamado Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
Fab! Heard this band mentioned on Trey Xavier's channel, typed 'em in, and received a breath of musical fresh air. AND they employ the lydian mode so beautifully! Good on 'em!

@@lindsaymcdougall3673 Unless um mistaken, the tune starts in C# [!])The B section is in Gb/F# and the melody sounds very Lydian, as the sharpened IV (or flatted V) is present in the (very nice) melody. So, I reckoned the B section to be in the Lydian mode. The A section is in mixolydian. Anyway, 'twas a joy to hear!

@@mattdbf I mean the similarities are obvious. But I don't really look at them as one in the same. I hear a major difference whenever I hear a blink song and compare it to a NoFX song. Not only do bands on Fat Wreck Chords have noticeably heavier guitar tones and faster tempos, but their lyrics showcase more of a punk rock type attitude. I always found pop-punk to be less punk and more about girls, eating pizza, and high school parties.
That's just my personal take on it. I definitely don't see bands like blink or yellowcard ever making songs that sound like this nor sing about drug use and politics.
