I got a front tooth cracked in half within the first 10 seconds of the first opening frenzal rhomb song back in '99. Still one of my all time favourite shows
Forever Malcolm young changed my life. I went from a filthy frenzal casual to absolutely obsessed with the band. Around that time they played in Perth at an all ages festival in an old train workshop, It blew my mind. Amazing band.
If I had to rank them: Sans Souci (2003) Forever Malcolm Young (2006) Cup of Pestilence (2023) Smoko at the Pet Food Factory (2011) A Mans Not a Camel (1999) Hi Vis Hi Tea (2017) Shut Your Mouth (2001) Meet the Family (1997) Coughing up a Storm (1995) Not So Tough Now (1996)
Awesome interview bro! One of my favorite bands! Pretty sure we live in the same town, sang scavenger type with you downtown several years ago when Mike had the bus stop coffee joint
Frenzal. Such a part of my fabric of life. I have photo proof my friend Sarah smelled Jay's huge dred and ive sung drunk karaoke with Dr McDougall a few times. I love them. Lindsay, thanks for letting me sing with you when youve been in Brisbane ❤😂😊🤘😎🖤
i love that you broke it down into each album
I'm not even a fan of their hits and earlier albums but the last 3 albums have been their best works yet.
very interesting stuff! looking forward to friday!
i can't believe he says shut your mouth sucks! i love that one

I think their best is Forever Malclm Young and then Smoko
I honestly can't pick one. Theyre all the best

26:05 They didn't like Lex did they? The earlier albums with him on bass are so much better than anything released after he left.
Great band, Great interview. Great hearing stories behind the songs/albums. Subbed
Thank you!!

Bag 'o bucks is Aussie punk defined.
Frenzal rhomb is great
Sick.
The band Pestilence is working on an album called Cup of Frenzal Rhomb.

Love how much fun you're both having! Great interview
It was a lot of fun!!!
New album is great but smoko is their magnum opus
It is still my favorite as of right now. The new one might grow on me, time will tell
@@billybobweible smoko is unfuckwithable. They will never top it. Just like direct hit's wasted mind.
it's all subjective ay...smoko isn't in my top 5
Love the interview and the band but how is mortality "never interesting for a song"
Frenzal Rhomb were better when Ben was in the band
And became even better after Gordy and Tom joined the band!
