Does it matter if it's the angled ones I bought 4 just in case but as long as they have the mini cat right??

Ever since I installed LT headers and high flow cats on my challenger I’ve gotten multiple o2 sensor codes it’s been a headache. I love the bolt on install performance has been amazing except for these annoying codes. I can’t pass inspections text in Texas.
I replaced the o2 sensors and still not working.

It really works great. Because I used it on an 09 audi a4 2.0 turbo and we all know how sensitive those cars are and it took almost 4 years before the check engine light came back. But I used some catalytic converter cleaner and it good now. I'm happy with it so far.
I need this. The Ford Stealership lied about my catalytic converter being the reason for the symptoms while the catalytic converter was under warranty. Now I am stuck with the problem. Shame on those crooks. I reported them to the BBB and I will keep going until they make this right.

I do this every single day we’ve done this for a customer they bought this same exact item and the code come back. This is just a cheap fixed temporary to get you by. It will not work. You’re going to have to deal with the issue. The light is going to come back after 10 to 12,000 miles, it will just get used to omissions and get the light out that is it if you take inch and a half Saul hole and drill through the center of the cat your light will not come back on that way because you have plenty of flow, O2sensor has not been altered. I know because I’ve done both tricks. This one seems to work I haven’t had a light yet.
So to avoid spending the lile $150 at the time I tried to make my own. Did the double sparkplug fouler drilled out. Didn't work. Put steel wool, a metal mesh, and a tiny bit of brillo pad and it worked for like 6 months. Now the Big Daddies are only like $30 and my car is on her way (all that stuff was on my 2017 HC Challenger) 2022 Redeye on her way. But I can distinctly remember both of the lean codes, either P0420/P0430 and P2096/P2098 but I don't remember which plagued me last. Thank you much for the information, the updated link, and video.

@@navypackman Yessir, I’ll crack a beer open tonight and say you did lol But the Tazer isn’t worth it for the Redeye. It’s really made for the lower trims to be able to have SRT performance pages on the dash/Uconnect and Linelock like the Hellcats have stock

Thanks for the advice man I got a 2017 scatpack and I removed my headers and installed mid pipes I'm running the advanced fuel dynamics e85 kit so idk if it makes a difference but I would erase the check engine light every other day so I could still use the remote start on my car. I ordered the o2 foulers from the last link you put up and the check eninge has not come back on. I highly recommend buying the minicat foulers if you don't want the check engine light. It works on my dodge charger 392 but I wouldn't know if it works on any other car. Still over all easy install and no more head aches. Thanks again

FAster way is to clear the CEL with a OBD tool/scanner and move on to seeing if this o2 spacer works on your car.
Eight to tell you this, but this is a temporary fix the reason right now is because I done it after 10 to 12,000 miles the same to come back identical. This will only get you by yes you do omissions and get rid of the light for a while, but your check engine light will come back on. He will have to deal with the problem I know because I’ve done it.
Had one was working good till the top piece and the thing inside fell off. Brought another put loctite on the tip we'll see what happens

These are only and should only be installed on the after Cat downstream sensors not Air fuel ratio O2 sensor which some have done unknowingly and then complained it caused problems lol 😂

I have tried several different o2 sensor spacers including 2 mini cats together on the downstream o2. Did not work for my 4.3 vortec after cat got plugged up and cat deleted. I'm now looking into electronic o2 sensor simulators. Worst case scenario, I might bite the bullet and have a new cat installed at 800.00 bucks...ouch! CEL drives me nuts.

So there’s 2 sensors on my accord. Bank 1 Which is right inside of the catalytic converter and Bank to which is below.
Would it work for bank 1? Everyone keeps saying it only works if you light is for Bank 2
yes it is a safe beat otherwise if you put this on your pre-CAT sensor, it will run too much lean. It is a "universal" standard that the fouler or spacer be applied to the post-CAT sensor.
Sick. what are the locations on header and y pipe I’m supposed to put spacers on? Upstream or down stream? I have obx header and y pipe and I want to put spacers to avoid CEL. Could you specify which o2 banks I need spacers on if I install header and y pipe? Thanks!

i purchased a set that are strait no angles for my catless e92 335i i was able to install one they dont have the little filter just a spring mesh filter will it still work? i ordered one with an angle that does have the filter i just hope that everything works out aint trying to pay 500 for a smog

Yes sir, it should work just fine. But if it doesn’t. Then a spacer from the hardware store should be easy to find that fits the product. I hope this helps!

Any simulator that has the miniature catalytic converter piece to trick the sensors should work perfect. As well as the “L” shape, to allow less pressure or gas to reach the sensor. I still haven’t had any problems since installing mine so far. I hope everything works out great for you too!

So I installed mine 4 days ago and my IM system was ready for catalytic because I need inspection badly. Now I got a P0420 Bank 2 code. Does this mean the mini cat broke? Or do I really need to put on like 200-500 miles like people say for it to "burn in". Still never was able to go so im just wondering if I should keep driving for everything to clear thru or am I wasting time. Also the mini cat is from big daddy garage.
I don’t think it would have broken. But what kind of car/trim do you have? You shouldn’t have to drive too far. Most I’ve seen have been 3 drive cycles. (Drive like a mile. Turn the car off, repeat that 3 times) then the code would disappear if it was fixed. Also, which style cat simulator did you install? The angled ones work the best, as far as I’ve seen
@@FLOPATT 2009 cts4 3.6 direct injected. Also more then likely this car is tuned. I bought it from a auction in Ohio lol. Wrong move. And I got the big daddy mini cat since that was is the best apparently but this is the 5th day and now im getting both catalytic inefficiency codes now. So im kinda giving up on these lol. Unless I really gotta drive 200-500 miles like they say. It's like honestly in my case, I might just buy a laptop, HPtuners and just learn how to tune the damn thing. Then maybe I'll have like a stock map to be able to pass inspection then switch back to tuned map. Who knows. My car is a big project more then anything. A little more then just empty cats going on lol.
@@FLOPATT also, when I drive. I drive. I'll go like a good 25 miles and eventually when I make it back home or on my way back. The check engine will just kick on or the IM system just wont be ready at all still. I'm debating on disconnecting the battery for a couple nights in a row then turning it back on to clear any possible permanent codes since this car DID HAVE HOLLOW CATS. so i dont really have a clue anymore.
@@OffTrap I’m sorry, I don’t know too much about non mopar exhaust systems. But, if you put it on the second set of O2 sensors (where they plug into the cats themselves) your readings should be fine. If not, tuning it would definitely be best. Sorry I don’t have any good answers for your current situation. But I’ll ask some of my GM buddies if they’ve had any similar issues and get back to you tomorrow
@@FLOPATT yeah, I read the freeze frame finally instead of clearing the code as if it'll help. Readings seem normal so the mini cats are doing what they are supposed to. So idk, fuel trims seem fine. More then likely I'll just learn how to tune it and hopefully learn how to pass emissions with it. But let me know what your GM guys says because apparently GM uses a special HEGO monitor test so maybe that's 1 part of what's going on maybe.

For my car model, 07 gs350 any CEL will automatically disable the traction system, bringing up 4 different lights lol

Does it have to be the L shaped one or Can it be the straight one? The straight one is the 23$ one and I think the description says the same thing ?
@@jaydengonzalez6744 the 90° angle is for better clearance if your heat shield is too close to the catalytic converter for the spacer and sensor to both fit..

Most likely downstream, because the point of the 02 sensor is to see if the catalytic converter is working as it should.

Didn't work for me. I have a 2022 charger rt. I have added spacers and steel wool inside as well and it's still popping code for stuck rich. So I am continuing to mess with it until I find the right configuration to make it work.

@5.793 yeah. My passenger side worked with no issues with just a normal spacer from autozone. The driver side sensor was just very sensitive I guess. So I ended up welding the intake hole on the spacer closed then I took a very small drill bit and just drilled a small hole for the gas to come through. I increased the size of the hole until no code thrown. It's been 4 months or so since then and haven't seen a code yet.
Also note that "clearing" the code with a device sometimes causes the codes to constantly report even if the car isn't actually seeing them. No clue why. But I discovered that clearing the code by disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes.. 100% clears the code and won't give a false positive. Just fyi.

@@zulim97 No, after driving for awhile. My CEL codes went away on their own. I believe it was 3 drive cycles. So I basically drove around for 5 minutes, shut the car off, and repeat 3 times. The CEL code should not still be showing after that
