1. It was a non-registered madarsa built on an encroached public land.
2. Police went there to bulldoze that structure only after the order of High court of the state. The community living there had failed to oblige to vacate that land.
3. Muslim people living there including women resorted to throw stones, and glass bottles from their houses' rooftops on police, media, & bulldozer team.
4. This standoff intensified later in the day involving teenage and young boys to make attacks en masse on police including women personnel. They tried to corner them in the streets, and tried to set them ablaze. Gunshots fired, and petrol filled bottles were used too. Dozens of personnel sustained serious injuries.
5. Lastly, with additional force curfew was imposed with a shoot at sight order.
