There was a interpretation I heard but why the darkness devil takes their arms and it was so good that I don't even care if it's true or not. The reason why the darkness devil takes their arms is because you use your hands to see in the dark
vilFrom what I know, this is true because everything in this scene is symbolic. The only reason frogs exist is because frogs have the unique ability to see color in darkness, so they're unaffected by the darkness devil.

You already know how pitch black the outer space is. Imagine wandering into that void as an astronaut only to end up lost and fall from despair. The fact that no one can rescue you is truly frightening~
the amount of astronauts is the same amount of astronauts who died before 1997, which is when the first part takes place. darkness also minorly symbolizes the unknown, and the endless void of space is dark and unknown
Its not scary but you should've gone with a sudden situation showing darkness infront of them but still this is so good if this were to have 1+ minute that would be interesting
