Oh my God, hearing Carol laughing at her own appearance during the Jim Nabors clips is hilarious! She is one of the most effortless, amazing people on stage -- total warmth -- and it always felt she was just your good friend, watching along with you, enjoying it, completely genuine and real. She is unequalled
Oh wow, I just had a huge memory flashback when I saw that twirling CBS "SPECIAL" logo. That takes me back! I remember being glued to the screen every time I saw that as a kid and I knew I'd be watching something exciting, special, and entertaining...and was never disappointed.
The GREATS always make it look so easy , that's what makes them so great !
Sweet memories..miss those days.
you can tell she holding back the tears :(
Lillian Gish was 85 there, and lived another 15 years! Amazing!
It's so sad they went off air
I wish they would put out the 1967-1972 episodes. Vicki was just 18 years when the show started.
hoagie1978 I have read some comments that the early seasons aren’t as good but I would also like to see them!
They are being uploaded to RUclips now !
WE LOVE YOU MISS HANNIGAN!!
Long live Carol!
I wish I was alive in the 70's. So then I could see her show live and not just one a screen:(
I grew up with this show I love it and I love her!
She never looked more beautiful than she did in this last show.
She looked so beautiful man!
Very well. Begin the thawing of Jim Nabors.
Carol aged so well!!! Always loved her being so genuine
Ahah just to hear her laugh at herself looking back at herself through the series makes me cry of laughter
@Treemeadow I wish I'd found your post 11 months ago!! LOL! Hope you enjoyed your fabulous day off watching 5 hours of the fantastic Carol Burnett!!!
You are very welcome!
@MissGreenAgain
YES! That's a VERY nice surprise! Thank you SO much!
wow,the cbs intro alone took me back..
I don't know about the DVD set but RUclips has it. A user posted boy versions that were told too. No idea where it is now but it's on here.\
I'm surprised that Harvey and Lyle didn't come back for her final show...
+fool4singing Watch the end of this show. Harvey is one of the cast & crew members who walk by as they exit the building for the last time.
Where was Lyle?
@pgy002 it was probably the lighting
@stevenscottoddballz Surprise! The full episode is on YT, courtesy of IveGotSplainin2Do :)
Boy she was a cutie-patootie in '67, wasn't she?
Could someone help me find "Caged Dames" Carol did with Lily Tomlin in Season 6, Episode 9, Airdate: 11-8-1972, please?
1:25 so that's where Justin Bieber got the hair idea.
So, how did the Tarzan yell thing get started?
I forgot how is started... I have to ask my mom she knows... but I do know that for the real Tarzan yell on the movie they had to use like for three or four people just to do it and when Carol Burnett showed that she could do it in one, that it was very crazy exciting for everyone...
Does anyone know what sketches were on that show?
pgy002 there was a time when carol went blonde
sigh. :-)
