@@clarencestewart2731 I was a fast turnover runner, not a strider. Also, did not have the explosiveness (muscle mass) for the 100M. Similar to Pietro Mennea. I was good at the relay and 200M, but could never maintain the turnover on the last stretch of the 400. I was not the worst, but definitely not what was expected. (won the 200M)

Congratulations to T&T are in order. Am however concerned about the USA's current crop of 400 metre runners at major athletics championships. They're underwhelming...twice now I've watched USA's 4x4 relay anchor leg with a comfortable lead literally relinquish it in the final 100 meters. On both occasions, the culprit was T&T, overhauling the USA's anchor leg runner. How have the mighty fallen!

I think the start of all races should be held at a straight line starting. Like is with 100m & 200m. I know it sounds ridiculous. But I've been racing my whole life unprofessionally & I do feel even tho its same distance between intervals, but if you see someone who is far ahead of you it's definitely a serious motivation killer. & Motivation is the 1st of all criterias even above how physically fast someone is. The motivation fades away sometimes unconsciously.

    why did usa disqualified

USA won the overall medal table for the event every year, which shows their continued dominance disbursing enough quality athletes in all of the relay events.

Calvin Howard are you better off in a country that has exploited you for years? Are you so empowered that you want to become exploiters of islanders? We will never let you. That’s it....

Calvin Howard, And so they should! A massive contingent compared with many other nations. How many athletes did each Caribbean country send? How many "lesser" countries won medals the USA were confident of winning? Peace.

Lynne Lee Luck Dowsing Who gives a damn, it’s not the United States problem that the other countries don’t have the contingency that we do? But there is something that is factual, track and field might be the 10th most popular sport in the United States, it in Caribbean countries especially Jamaica track and field is life, so of course with that much emphasis is placed on one support you’re going to produce great athletes, all it takes is the right coat in a little bit of talent, stuff that you’re trying to knock that the United States has a great track and field program and always has been that’s why they’ve always been competitive, You know you can give compliments to other countries for their efforts, instead of coming up with excuses the bottom line is the United States was the best in this event overall when you combine all of the relay events, and has been each year and it’s inception, yes the smaller countries have great athletes and of course they should be commended, but when you put yourself out there to be competitive you have to deliver the results, I don’t give a damn how many people are in the country, it’s been proven that even small countries can compete on any level in sports, whether it’s the Dominican republic in baseball Baseball or anything else, it’s not shocking to me went to Trinidad and Tobago, or Jamaica, or the Bahamas is competitive in any event that’s below the 400 m, you sound stupid
