I've read the comments. Here's the thing guys, if there are fathers here reading too, our dads is our best friend since the day we are born until their last breath. They love us no matter what, it's just that some children take it for granted and some children see it differently that's why they disrespect their dads, and when they disrespect their dads that left an emotional wound on them that would make a scar in their hearts because being disrespected by their children (no matter if it's a daughter or son) it would hurt them deeply. Some in the comments say that he should've been there for David's growth as he had reflected but you've heard the story that it was just his facade to lock his inner demons and barely grasp what his father (George) had said to him. No, George did the right thing because that's what dads do when their son (or daughter) disrespected them, dads give their children parting words about life that they should know and grasp and then leave them to fend on their own, why? Because when dads felt disrespected and hurt by their children, they'll see it as you (the child) can do on your own without them. "Well, it seems you have the backbone to disrespect your father it means you can stand on your own and live on your own" that's the closest sentence i could think of but that's the right way of being a father to their children. It might seem bad but that's what makes boys (or girls) mature in an early age when their dad says something like that and when it's their time to be a parent that's when they'll realize the wording their father had left them

But he wasn't he was constantly influenced by his grandparents to look down on his father. His mother treated his father badly setting an example of how to treat him. Not only that but she alienated him from his own father hoping that another man could act as his father. Rewarding him when he disrespected his father. Kids copy, their parents and are moulded by their surroundings. The best thing to do in this situation was to take the kid with him. And try to start over. He was a bit heartless and cold. From how the system treats him I'm sure he would have been allowed to take him.
I watched 90% of all your uploaded videos and this one is the best of them all. The action, the drama , the love of the second wife and daughter and the heartache. It was beautiful.
Another unique take on system based stories. Would have love to have seen how evil this kid really was but otherwise great story. Will definitely be rereading it many times.
I don't know how to feel about this story. David is a kid. He was 6 and didn't know any better. However look at his personal growth. He deserves his Dad. This doesn't feel like revenge, it's just kind of heartbreaking

I wish MC would've have confronted both of them for why he had left directly that day, seeing them and first lead so happy(that she was cheating basically and son asking to become his real son....) That's why such a conversation about what they both did to him would have been great for both of their growth, but no... Never said anything about any of his past tourment to them... What's the point then ffs? If you came back to save your son you need to make him understand everything properly now, at 14 he can understand everything now. Same for Willow, she really wanted him back to the point of accepting to become the little wife despite her huge pride, he could have properly talked, she was listening... That always bother me in those stories, talk no justu about how you feel ffs ! Nobody will understand you if you don't say it!
Willow was only looking to make things easier for Willow... I don't believe she would have listened to him. Look how she tried destroying her son AGAIN when the Dad left for good. David did listen to his Dad's words. He didn't necessarily get an HEA, but at least he didn't become an evil villain.
I watched a similar story but the difference was the MC stayed on the other world to be with his wife and son but the wife was indifferent to them both cause she likes another man and the son was innocent at first but slowly got corrupted by the grandmother and how his mother treats the MC also started treating him badly. Then one day when MC was returning home for his son's bday, there was another man and the son's birthday wish was for his father to be gone and the other man to be his father so MC asked the system to return to his world in which he found true love and had a daughter as well but after a few years was suddenly summoned back to the other world. Then the system told him his son gained a system and used it to bring him back. He made it clear that he didn't want anything to do with the son and mother duo and he clearly misses his wife and daughter despite their efforts to win him back until the mother finally started to accept their mistake and started letting go of the MC but he got stuck in the other world for almost a year until the system found a way to bring him back but he has to achieve a goal and the son also gained a goal with his system to prevent MC to leave. The MC won but the story got cut. I guess I'll just think the ending to that would be similar to this.

I don’t disagree with George’s choice to go back to his original world. He felt like he failed and was dejected, however, he failed David and penalizing a 6 year old who was very clearly indoctrinated into his family’s belief system and made out to be a product of the Liu family is just immature. 13 year old David was remorseful and willing to change but George persecuted and left him with just enough words to pacify him rather than save him.
He did! David didn't turn into an evil villain based on his father's parting words. It already stated what was inside David, but he was able to overcome it!

I don't like the system story it's kind of unnecessary thing replaced easily by rebirth or move on plot and second thing is no parents cut ties with their children just because their childish behavior, they have child like ability, what can you expect.

I don't believe in rebirth, but it's more believable because I could consider that as a premonition (the MC woke up from a dream and return to the past which can also be interpreted as the MC sleep and dream about the future). System story is just not my cup of tea.
It would be good if his son David will be the protagonist of the next story, where he'll meet another transmigrator and will be his love interest, but the story should be more light hearted to at least freshen up our brain and emotions.

I think you missed the part where the kid disliked his father and even mocked the pendant that he gave him when he was a kid enough to replace it with a jade pendant. He was also not from that world and was only there for a mission. Originally he did mention if Willow treated him better he would have chosen to stay but given the circumstances that time then staying will just be a losing battle for him. The result was him leaving and the cause and effect started to materialize between mother and son. Both unable to comprehend why he left and unable to accept that they themselves are at fault for him returning to his original world.
