If she really loved him as she said she did then she wouldn't have called him pathetic when she assumed he was sitting outside depressed because they broke up but he was just dizzy from drinking. If she loved him the she should've explained earlier but instead she just ran with it for a while and then when she realized she lost him, that was when she decided she had to get him back.
Veronica loved him, but she was practically being held hostage by Andrew and Cecelia to do what they wanted. The whole thing of calling the MC pathetic was clearly staged, it's very likely Cecelia bugged Veronica to make sure she called him those things and Veronica didn't actually mean it. This was out of Cecelia's petty revenge when the MC snitched on her back in college. As for why she didn't explain things to him sooner, it was probably out of fear. She probably feared that if she told the MC about what was going on, the MC would run headfirst into it without concern about just WHO he was messing with; which he probably would've. This could easily lead to a tragic scenario for the MC. But she also knew that the MC could endure quite a bit and was understanding. So she assumed that she could quickly solve her problem with Andrew, break free from him, and return to the MC. However she underestimated just how much the MC was affected by the whole thing and realized she needed to take a different approach when he turned hostile towards her.
the most well written story so far, to be honest, i want to hear hot moment when Veronica and Cameron get back together but... just like Chinese story out there, it's always end up with hanging end, whether the male and female lead end up together and live happily ever after or not... overall this story is wholesome
Ok i like this story between MC and Veronica. Andrew is kinda portrayed as a bad guy, but over time, he's realistic, and i love the communication between him and MC during the phone calls. I really didn't think too much of Abigail and MC being shipped, at most would just stick to childhood friends and senior-junior comfortable relationship. Cecilia, she's a bitch. And she has the audacity and narrow-mind to even plot all that just because she's a rich brat. And i refuse to believe she was genuine with her apology basket. And I was right when Andrew showed up. The world of the rich really isn't one to trifle cause they really have the balls to do whatever the fuck they want, even if its fixtion, it's not impossible to say it won't happen. I honestly would like to hear if Cecilia's plots vets revealed to her family (especially her mom) and she get heavily punished and begs for forgiveness for her acts and involving innocents into it, from her snitch-episode to the coffee incident to the dating. She doesn't deserve happiness nor redemption. I'd love to hear stories like this again

That was a good story, instead of the usual cheating and no second chance/redemption with a tragic ending(depending on the character some deserve the bad ending) more like that would be very welcome. Veronica actually liked the Cameron an was simply kind of held of hostage but try her hardest to get Cameron forgiveness no matter what was sweet and Cameron forgiving was also sweet. Abigail was simply unlucky of how deep Veronica love for Cameron was honestly I don't think it was even necesary for her to have feeling for MC from her pov add to the fact that Cameron never shown any interested in abigail romantically although her interaction with Veronica was funny lol. a POV from veronica would've been better instead also Andrew wasn't that bad of a person either he was more on realistic side of how the situation is. She still lied 2 him tho N she didn't even go 2 apologise at 1st, her brother n cecelia did?! After all that, mc still reconciled w/ fmc?! Nah, mc should've moved on imo
Having the MC solely act on false assumptions before confirming anything, really does make the story so much worse than it should be. Incredibly poor writing from someone who have never spoken to another human, or at least never considering that every person alive doesn’t think that the world revolves around them… It’s already the plot twist about her doing it all to protect him, so him not understanding anything but still acting like he understands everything, really drags down the story from a potential 8/10 to a 3/10
