God i remember getting chills when i heard this acoustic for the first time, the original wasn't really in my top 5 favourites but this, this might be my favourite song in the series
I found this series, and more presciently, this soundtrack, just after my Mom died, and I cannot listen to any of it without breaking down, but it is all just so f*cking beautiful. 🥲
I always seem to come back to this song. The instrumental background is just SO gorgeous and Casey just knocks it out of the park. The strings and pacing is just wonderful here. Also, the foreshadowing..
@@victormatyiku6685 There's a video on youtube of it. Really cool to see! I love how RWBY takes ideas and concepts from all around mythology and culture, and combine them into their own :D
Reminder that early on this song came out and it tells what happens at the end of 8. First seasons songs that lay out the story all they way till current story. The story may have not been what you wish and it might have not been done as well as the creator Monty would have done it. But the overall plot is Monty he certainly of the type who lays out the ending and builds backwards in core plot line before they start writing and they got those notes. Ironwood turned out as I expected from first meeting him if your familiar of stories of Dictators before they became dictator.

Lol I don't know why, but even though this was acoustic, I was still expecting Jeff to come out screaming at 0:18
Same
THERE'S A DAY
Yeah feels somber calm
I have NEVER cried instantly from a song until now. Casey Lee Williams has grown so much from Vol 1.
Stop simping
@@Evokai6419not simping it's respect and he's right Casey is Awesome
Although I love the show, I have to admit that Casey and Jeff are pulling the carry of the decade with their absolutely amazing soundtracks
It hits differently now.
Big time
Agreed
Damn, that quiver at 2:24 got me good. Casey is such an amazing vocalist. I wish I had even a fraction of her talent.
An acoustic version of this song is what really needed since Volume 7 ended with Salem invading Atlas with her army of Grimm...
The witch has brought her flying monkeys.
@@masonwilliams1345 i understood that reference
Yes
Oldie but goodie
Considering this was my favorite song from vol 3 I'm in love
I love this song!❤💔😭

I love how the lyrics are based on Aragon's speech from Return of the King
*gasp* really. How was I not informed of this? Which parts??

@@thelightningbrony4745 I knew about mythology and most cultures, but that specific bit of trivia I never knew!
The show is definitely rough, but the music is still incredible.
Yeah
"definitely"
173% agree
I'm only here for the music at this point.
Casey and Jeff pulling the hardest carry of the decade with their ost
Nice
Beautiful
This song, hero, and touch the sky, just-

Touch the sky, war, and this
I absolutely love the melody at 1:28, reminds me of Broadway a bit.
Casey truly has an absolutely incredible voice
thank you i have been trying to find this.
I...
I have been waiting for this.
