I don't understand how the PR government doesn't know how many people died from a hurricane but an outside investigation does and then gives them the information. My heart goes out to anyone who lost a life from the severe weather. It truly seems to me this would have been huge news before mid September of the following year.

And they have electricity where they can. And it was rebuilt quicker than Louisiana was After Katrina so don't you ever compare your hurricane to that, it wasn't close or your island would still be underwater. But by World Definition you're Puerto Ricans from the COUNTRY. Puerto Rico, so to the world community you aren't Americans.
I live in Puerto rico and yeah our government is corrupt. Holding supplies back from us after to the hurricane to make our situation look more worse than it already was so the USA could help us. Refusing help from other countries. I hate it. But last elections the people won the vote for statehood. And the elections before that. Never happened. Also the island didnt "recover" faster than Louisiana. Both were horrible disasters. But 90% of people affected by Katrina got their power back in less than a month. We reached 90% after 7 months.
