Great, it's even bigger. Is Ranger just gonna be an F150 trim level in 5 more years?
Good looking truck. Many more features for the price compared to Tacoma.
Finally, a V6. But I don't want a turbo, just a nice unstressed 250 or so horse NA V6 that'll run forever with maintenance. Turbos just don't go the distance.

Clearly, she doesn't know that the Ranger was designed and developed in Australia. Journalists don't seem to bother with research these days. Not that it is a problem, because it is an awesome pickup and the needs of both markets are very similar.

Ford had years to get it right. My 2018 eco Mustang started sucking coolant. I will never buy a 2.3 again.
2019 3.5 ecoboost has been one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made. However, my uncle also just had to replace his 2018 V8. Never getting another ford
2018 Explorer 250k never a problem.
2.7 ecoboost with almost 100k miles. Zero issues.
Over 5 million ecoboost engines. There’s going to be some bad ones.
And haters make up a lot of stories too.
MSRP as much as a comparable full size truck
A Porsche is as much as a full sized truck and is much smaller than a truck. People who want s Porsche are not getting a full size truck just because it is bigger. If someone wants a mid size truck they get what they want. And this mid size is as big as a full size in the early 2000s anyway.

I hope they fixed the transmission in the ranger because the 2021 gives out in and around 45 to 50 thousands miles and don't take it off road can break fuel lines under the truck and wiring harness to the fuel tank

@alexandersmith9902 the body lines resemble the last gen ranger that was around for years before it came to the us in 2009 long before the Colorado had its redesign so maybe it's the other way around

Ford Ranger will never beat the reliability and history of the Tacoma.
What history? Like the outdated drivetrain and suspension of the turdcoma? Or the drum brakes? Of yeah they finally did away with those. The blown diffs? Transmission that couldn't make its mind up? The bendy taco frame? Such a nice list.

Underpowered vehicles with low tow and payload capabilities get higher dependability ratings because well…they are bought by people who don’t tow or use them like pickups.
