Because people forget football was also invented by Canadians and in the cfl the ball is kicked a lot more and heavily relies on kickers. That is the main reason I get that football is mainly played with hands not feet but that was the logic back then I guess.
An American here, you don't have to call it soccer; we know that American football shouldn't be called "football" and that we are an international mockery for using a silly term like "soccer" for a sport that epitomizes the words "foot + ball." 😂😂😂 Amazing video! Easy to understand, concise, and complete explanation of a topic!👏
@@willgarrison5075 I knew that, but at least the Brits had the sense to change such a silly name. Whereas we decided to call our sport "football" because it's played on foot instead of horseback, a medieval naming convention utterly unfit for a modern sport originating in the 19th century.
@@RVeredSoccer comes from association football and as with most things the Brits are at fault. You don't have to be all "America bad" just because the British brought their nonsense to your country, forgot about said nonsense and then started to mock you for being weird.
They usually do this temporarily by drifting into the midfield to pull defenders in and create space for overlapping runners on the outside. Smart move!!🔥
That's where the players position themselves during the match. Before the match starts, each team is positioned in only one half of the field but once the game kicks off, players will occupy the other team's half. Hope this helps!
Been watching football for a year and still learning some things and this video helped me and have it saved in my playlist for reference. Thanks friend.
Good question. There are many positions that are considered attacking positions e.g strikers, centre-forwards, central attacking midfielders and wingers are all attackers.
Im not a professional but i know pretty much, if you have good pace and cross accuracy then play at wings according to your strong foot, if you have less pace yet good passes play at cm, lcm, rcm, if you have some good defensive aspects go for dmf and if you have good dribbling and vision play at cam and if you are good at shooting go for second striker as rooney, thats all for now :)
So like that’s an entire pitch right and both sides play against each other why is some players on the other side who apart of the same team if that makes sense? Like aren’t the positions supposed to be behind the line until the game starts? Also what’s the point in offside if ur trying to score and how is it ur fault if the defender is/isn’t there it’s unfair?
Offside prevents the players from camping in the opposition's territory, because can you imagine how boring the game would be if attacking players didn't have to track back to stay onside and be a part of the action. No offside rules and strikers would just sit in the opposition's penalty box the whole game.
@@FootballerXP ohh thanks! That makes sense I thought its where u can't be by ur own goal but I see now it's the other team. What about the pitch thing I said?
I like this type of knowledge more then subjects of engineering, since its very practical,I request the channel to show how each position needs to position itself in game ,e.g if i m RB ,so when the attacker of other team comes very near the box ,do I only need to cover the right side or to come in centre to help the midfield ,this type of tactical knowledge
Ugh why did my country have to call egg shaped hand ball football
Right?! haha
Fr haha

@@apav8818 Wow, that's an interesting fact I never knew! Thanks for sharing💯
@@apav8818 Doesn't make sense lmao
I know all of these position names in my native language, just wanted to know the names in English. Very satisfied with the video, thank you!
As a center back, So what a u in yo language?
Thx this is really informative
Thanks for watching!
These tutorials really put the game into perspective for beginners. Very clear and concise. Well done!
Thank you sir🙏🏿

Glad you acknowledge this fact!😂
The British called it soccer before football. They just later changed the name, while USA didn’t change the name

her: whats your favorite position
me: centerback
Wow, this game has so many different layers of complexity 😱. Your videos are really making it clear to me!
Certainly is a complicated sport at first, but glad you’re beginning to understand it!
Just started playing at age 36 for the first time in my life, so I know nothing, but this was perfectly explained. I feel like I get it now!
That's awesome mate! Glad you found it helpful, and all the best on your journey learning the game!!🔥
And I am starting to learn and play football at 18….I wish I developed this interest earlier.
Ayo bro, are you South african?
Lived there for some time!😁
I can't understand one thing , how do the wingers take the position of the central midfielders ? , And what if they don't have that experience
They usually do this temporarily by drifting into the midfield to pull defenders in and create space for overlapping runners on the outside. Smart move!!🔥
Why do you show the positions on the other side of the pitch sorry I am just a bit confused does that mean they start there?

Great explanation. Well done!!!
Glad it was helpful!
👍☺️
Is advanced midfielder a position
Technically an advanced midfielder is any midfielder playing higher up the field. E.g Central Attacking Mid and Wingers are all advanced midfielders!🔥
this was helpful :)
Glad it helped!
3:47 I see what you did there 😂
Atleast one person got it right!😅
I have one question where is the Attacker
Good question. There are many positions that are considered attacking positions e.g strikers, centre-forwards, central attacking midfielders and wingers are all attackers.
Well what position is the best for you beside Attacker? (including CAM)

Nice
Defended can also go front from center or not,??

So whats the difference beetwen centre forwards and striker , and what about the second strikers
