I think the Throttle Decent is programmed in the FBL Controller. Stock Radio Stick is spring Centered. I may set my TX16s that way for these. On Stock radio. Once you pull below Center it starts slowing the Head speed down for a landing. I gradually pull half way down to descend, then as it gets close, 3”, I Bottom the Throttle and land. Hold it Down for several seconds to Shutdown Motor. Should act same on TX but Stick being more precise, might be too much Range applying. Maybe a Throttle Curve in Normal Mode could Shape it smoother?
I haven't setup a throttle curve, but if it works like EXPO it could certainly make the throttle range smoother. I looks like you just about complete with the setup on the new TX.

What's the difference between OpenTX and EdgeTX? I just bought the TX16S (4 in 1) a week or so ago and it uses EdgeTX. I have the E120, and RC ERA C138 Bell 206, and a Blade Nano S3 that I intend to set up on it. Hi Brandon! Here are some questions that may help you troubleshoot the issue. Are you flying it with the Stock TX or a Multi-Protocol TX? If this is happening with the Multi-Protocol TX is this also happening with the Stock TX? If you haven't tested it with the Stock TX after experiencing this issue, I would also test it with the Stock TX as it could be a Gyro issue. Are you using Protocol E129 and Sub-Protocol C186 on your Multi-Protocol TX? Do you have any Trim or Sub-Trim programmed into the radio? If so, I would remove all Trim and Sub-Trim, Re-Calibrate the Gyro and test again.
@@GroundControlRC thank you kind sir! I'm not seeing an option for the sub protocol so I may be in the wrong window on the TX screen (I'm a rookie) lol. I'm updating to Edge tx today, hopefully that will make it easier.

Sorry to hear of your issues. I didn't have any of those problems with mine as demonstrated using the Stock TX.
