Got rid of SiriusXM due to the horrible sound quality. And they continue to push more channels into the limited bandwidth they have, resulting in even worse quality today than ever before.
I shut down my SXM on both vehicles due to continuous reception issues & overseas knucklehead call centers. Brian is correct, depending on the brand of vehicle, the HD radio is either really simple & cool or it’s extremely frustrating. I refuse to stream music since they have all but cut musicians royalties out. Why support the stupid streaming company & not the people who actually created the music?!
Some of those features have been out since the beginning of time. I have been able to program my radio to find a song I like or live sports its extra tho

I still like XM if they keep renewing my subscription at a discount on the yearly I'll stay with them. Plus it's the same channel and signal cross state no matter where I go. They play good stuff. I never listen to the radio. Radio streaming apps suck.
Sirius had that function like 15 years ago when you bought their aftermarket head units. But when satellite radio started coming from the factory, it was phased out.

I have HD radio, but it doesn't look like it does in the video. My car doesn't allow me (I don't think) to exclusively choose HD. The HD icons just pop up whenever HD is available on the station I'm listening to. I have a 2016 Lexus IS 350 F-Sport.
I think most people don't even know what Hd radio is I listen to some HD stations but honestly it's crap signal pisses me off every time it breaks out. Plus a lot of the programming is lifeless and if you listen long enough there's many repeats
Your deejays get in the way, add nothing and represent the problem that killed radio. Don't let them kill Sirius/XM. And how about a Four Seasons channel?
Dude, I totally agree. I hate the whole DJ thing. I am there to listen to music, not some throwback from the golden era with their really bad cliche song intro's. And dump all the bs channels so you can increase bandwidth that will increase sound quality.

Problem with satellite radio is the absolutely terrible audio quality. It is so compressed it is unlistenable, especially for music.
Kevin Barry - I agree, it sounds like a low bitrate MP3. It sounded a lot better when Sirius and XM we’re separate companies.
