      People of Darjeeling should be only knows as Gorkhali or Indian Gorkhaa.,
      Always maintain unique Gorkhaa culture and Nepali language.
      But Nepali person means person of Country Nepal,.
      Just like American person also speaks language English, but he says he is American, not Englishman.

      Nepalese is spoken as The Second Largest Language of Bhutan too!!
      And Burmese-Gorkha also have a very very Large population in Myanmar making Nepali language spoken in FOUR countries ❤️❤️❤️❤️ SUCH is the power of Nepalese 😍😍😍

    • @ridgehurley4236
      @ridgehurley4236 3 года назад +7

      @Cat JamSometimes languages die out quickly. This can happen when small communities of speakers are wiped out by disasters or war. In El Salvador, for example, speakers of the indigenous Lenca and Cacaopera abandoned their languages to avoid being identified as Indians after a massacre in 1932 in which Salvadoran troops killed tens of thousands of mostly indigenous peasants in order to suppress an uprising.
      Most languages, though, die out gradually as successive generations of speakers become bilingual and then begin to lose proficiency in their traditional languages. This often happens when speakers seek to learn a more-prestigious language in order to gain social and economic advantages or to avoid discrimination. The gradual disappearance of Coptic as a spoken language in Egypt following the rise of Arabic in the 7th century is one example of this type of transition.
      NOW, lets come to Nepal. So, Nepalese tribal people started abandoning their language because of the popularity of Nepali language...... Because it was Very important to know Nepalese and English to survive and after being Bilingual may be they forgot their own language. Its not our fault it was the fault of our fate. Now since they do not speak their Own language so they Take pride in NEPALI🌺💖 as Nepali has become their own language they learnt it from their parents💖💖💖💖 which they will now pass on from generations to generations !!!!

    • @ridgehurley4236
      @ridgehurley4236 3 года назад +1

      @Cat Jam Who gave you the idea that the indigenous people considered Khas people for having a bad reputation???
      Even if the People forgot their language BUT now they speak Nepali and consider it their own language and they take immense pride in it 🙂🙂🙂
      There are some people who want to learn their language but they are few in Number. Nepali is still a very popular language used all over.

      @Cat Jam it's same as Bihar and UP peope consider hindi as their mother tongue although they had Their own language this is because of history and ruling power.
      it's sad that nowadays indigenous languages like rai, limbu, tamang, etc are in danger

That's why no darjeeling people were british India subject till british left. It was part of kirat kingdom limbuwana( tribe limboo, lepcha, dhimal, yakkha, eastern magar, some sherpa later ) from thousand yrs with today's far East nepal, than sikkim from 1641with lepcha, kirat, tibbetan treaty , gorkha kingdom from 1774 to 1815 as expanded by gorkha rajpoot from West, , again sikkim from 1816 to 1835, than a colony where british took for tea planatation by annexing from sikkim with annual tribute to king of sikkim.
