Yes Sr.!!, it was pretty easy to install, also like the fact that are bolts and not rivets🤘🏽,hey also there is a cone inside the exhaust,I cut that off for a better deep sound. No after market needed.
Great job!! Is that the same part number as the 18? I just got a 19 450fx and pro Moto told me not until March for those end caps. Any info is much appreciated.
@@TheMitchForrest what I meant to say is this. I remove wheel, remove tire/tube then heat inside JUST ENOUGH to politely bend rim (with rubber claw crescent wrench) back into OEM spec. Easy. Once you do one you will want to fix them all, it's that easy. Usually done b4 big ride to prevent catastrophic failures. Then, simply retrue all spokes IF needed. Then put on a new tube tire and your done!! 😆👍👍 Also I bought a cheap rivet gun set to save weight on bike. Repacking muffler every season/ adding ultra silent/ gen maintenance etc. Clean look. Dunlop makes a lightweight competition tire...real nice!! Yellow badge
This really nice video and that end cap looks sick and would this fit on lexx mxe muffler if it impossible or what brand exhaust muffler can fit on it be nice to hear what it's sound like and its way smooth sound on yz
Forrest Films why not? I have a 17 yz450fx with stock exhaust and it does not backfire. I thought after removing the spark arrestor it will backfire. Then how do some bikes backfire?
Amir Bakhshi this is adding a spark arrestor. Bikes that backfire aren’t properly maintained or fueled right. Spark arrestor is just to match forest service and blm requirements
@@TheMitchForrest ah yeah that makes sense. Definitely in the summer time. I've heard of bikes that have backfired on the carb models and the airbox goes up in flames. Not sure about efi models.
@@TheMitchForrest hahaha thats awesome. My drz does that if i do a key banger on it. Crazy loud too but not healthy for the valves. I wouldn't even try it on my yz. You've got me thinking i should run the spark arrester that came with my t6 system.
PMB also sells "Silent" and "Ultra Silent" end caps that fit into this. I'll be trying out the silent cap.

I did the Lexx XC on my FX. Drilling out the SS existing rivets was the only PITA
Do they have the silent ones for a 2023 Honda 450R ps great video it was a huge help
Yes they should. If they make a tip the other attachments bolt to the tip. You’re welcome.
@@TheMitchForrest thank you 🙏

Just Havin Fun yes it’s the same part number. My local dealer had one on the wall.
Thanks for the vid. I think they help quieten down the bike at higher revs though don't they ? i.e once the flow rates are higher.
Maybe just a little. Thanks for watching!
figured they came stock with one since its the offroad bike.
slowngreen the tag them as a “closed course race bike” that way they don’t have to deal with the epa or emissions. The wr trail bike has one though.
Awesome video. Much appreciated!
Hey great vid, just wondering if you could reuse the same bolts for the new cap?
I’m quite sure they provide bolts.
That looks great!
Huge dent in rear Excel rim at logo. Easy to bang out. Nice bike bro
Clark Kent I’ve put like 40 more hours on since then too, many more dents now. I’ve never tried banging them out, you’ve had success doing so?
Thanks!

Looks like your rear rim is bent where it says Excel. I noticed it during the sound difference
David Dossey yes it is, I already have dents in the front and rear 😕

Michael O'Sullivan made for stock muffler only. Lexx has their own spark arrestor I think though.
@@TheMitchForrest why lexx mxe don't have any like this and its sux cant get any to get this fitted and wish they made some for lexx mxe
I guess that you don’t need the tube that’s on the stock cap?
Benjamin Johnson nope
what size drill bit was it again?
Ryan Pointer 3/16 I think
Does it make the bike backfire now?
Amir Bakhshi no

Why not just the fmf or yoshi slip on?
Jared Thompson because they are $400 instead of $100
Might as well replace the packing at the same time time
Jeff Brennan pretty sure I only had around 10 hours on it at this point, but would be a good time to do it with it all apart already.
Feel anything diff in performance?
Fast Eddy feels the same. Stock systems are good these days 👌🏻
Forrest Films awesome !!! Yes they are :) sounds good and so much power in every range
Dam you gotta do that for races over there?
Yeah, everything is so dry around here. 1 spark and the whole Forest is on fire. Tech inspection at each race to make sure everyone has one.

MrEnduro efi should be better, but better safe than sorry. I still have a photo somewhere of my 05 Honda 450 shooting 2 foot flames out the exhaust.

MrEnduro Give it a shot 👍🏻
